Ah, yes- that is an ultra high DPI (dots per inch) display. This is a known issue in Flash Player, which Adobe is working on fixing.
In the mean time, you can get some videos to have normal-sized controls by switching Youtube to the HTML5 video player:

Thank you, I really appreciate your time, but I think I am after something the iPad won't do. I don't want to use a computer at all. I would like to open an iCloud doc using my iPad, work on it (on the iPad), then print or save it back into pages or the iCloud.
From your responses, it sounds like you have to use an iPad in conjunction with a computer, of some description, to work on documents in the cloud, the iPad alone will not let you do this.
So I guess the short answer is, I can't.

Can't access BBC iplayer after loading update 11th Oct

Loaded update of 11th Oct and since then have been unable to access BBC iplayer

My sister told me not to update iTunes because most likely it will ruin things instead of improving, I didn't listen cause I think Apple must be providing some new features and improvement in the update, that's what an update for, isn't it? However, after this update I am really afraid now to do the next one, who knows what will happen next? I read post that 2 years ago people already had this "access to the iTunes store" problem after iTunes update, and 2 years later Apple still have the same problem in their update, consider a smart company like Apple can't even figure this out, this is unbelievable! For those of you who would like to try reinstalling, be sure to follow the instruction step by step at the link below. Just a reminder, uninstall iTunes only is not going to work cause there are still related files hidden in the computer, so it's necessary to uninstall all the Apple related programs. Hope everyone can fix this annoying problem somehow.

If you take a look at the WebUtil page, there is a demo which can be downloaded. Look carefully at the option to upload to DB. If you want to manipulate the doc you can use OLE. This is also offered as part of the example.

These are all tv based -sky go app, iplayers and on demand. I have installed them previously but since then there are no icons on my ipad to select. How can I get rid of excessive commercial ads and other pop-ups?

Quite recently I have been facing severe pop up annoyances on all my web-search browsers (including Google Chrome and Safari). It has come to the point that I rather surf on my little iPhone 5s than on my Apple MacBook Pro 15" Retina Display (Year 2013) Every second mouse click opens up a random tab with advertising/commercial and the usual stuff. Adding to that annoying in-site popups appear on most of the sites all the time. Even when i click the closing cross or the buttton "close this ad" it will just re-appear the next time the page reloads (latest at my next click). It made it so annoying to use my Laptop that I try to avoid working with it in the Internet. Especially with Uni restarting I would appreciate any Help or advice.

There is no need to download anything to solve this problem. You may have installed a variant of the "VSearch" ad-injection malware.
Triple-click the line below on this page to select it, then copy the text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C:

I am currently working with an iMac with OS X Version 10.9.5, a third generation i Pad with OS 8 and a 5S iPhone with OS 8. Until I upgraded, my iCloud account synched my calendars, contacts, and messages. Now they are not synching. I have acquired several Apple IDs over the years. Currently one works well with my iPad and iPhone, but not my iMac. However I cannot find a way to change the iCloud setting in my iMac.

You can also watch about 50 channels of live TV (including all BBC and ITV channels) if you point Safari at "TvCatchup".
Tell "somebody" that Flash is not required.

Have you tried restarting or resetting your iPad?
Restart: Press On/Off button until the Slide to Power Off slider appears, select Slide to Power Off and, after the iPad shuts down, then press the On/Off button until the Apple logo appears.
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10 seconds). Ignore the "Slide to power off"
If this doesn't work backup and restore your iPad using iTunes. Something must have been corrupted in your update process.

Both text editor and audio player are implemented in applet and put in to a
jsp page using jsp:plugin. Text editor and player are separate applets running
in the same page and from same server.A client who is using this editor may
want to save the edited text files to the server as well as hear audio files from
directories in the server.
My question is how can we access the file/directory system in the server
like we do in the local machine.When the user cliks save or openfromserver button
in the editor, folder/files in the server must be displayed as we do with FileChooser.
I am using Apache Tomcat 5,wiindows 2000 server, jdk1.5.

You can't access it directly. But your applet can make net connections to the server, and the server can provide that kind of functionality. Generally this is easiest by making HTTP connections and having the server provide the functionality via the web server. (So in your case, JSPs or servlets on the server would list/deliver/create/modify/delete files, and the applets would invoke those JSPs and servlets.
