How can I access google mail off line ?
I wish to access my received mail or address contacts without using the internet

" Your Apple ID has been diabled for security reasons. to enable your account, reset your password on appleid.apple.com" which i did, after i have entred the apple ID, it gives me two options to either change my password by sending it to my email acccount used, first time i clicked use email to reset pasword. i then went to msn to long into that email and msn says that this account has been blocked due to the password being entred to many times to activsate this clcik link beloew and so i did, it then took me the security queastion and the alternative email used within that account is completly different to what put in when i first made that account 2 years ago, the security question to that email is in portugues/ spanish and im neither, so clarely someone has hacked into that email and blocked it... and this why i cant change the password for my apple ID..

I have 4 Google and 3 SBC accounts in apple mail.
All of a sudden Google accounts are going off line- the triangle appears.
I try going back on line - no response.
When I quite mail and then reboot the Gmail mail has loaded, but still off line.
I also lost all the email from one Gmail account.
Any one having this problem also.Gmail is a web mail service, it can't be accessed when you're not on the internet or the "web".

Can any one please advise how to fix this problem when i open preferances and go to mail so i can change passwords and so on this is what i get (You can’t open Mail, Contacts & Calendars preferences because it doesn’t work on an Intel-based Mac.) i have to access this to be able to change my emails any help would be appricated thanks.

When I try to read sent mail I get this message: (the email) has not been downloaded from the server. You need to take this account online in order to download it. Can't figure out how to do it, can anyone help please?

On my old computer I could go to firefox bookmarks to access gmail. I went to gmail on this new computer to recover my account. It accepted my email address and password. However I cannot find anywhere to access my email. It did not reappear in bookmarks.

I downloaded the latest version of Firefox 8.0.1. I have an Intel imac with os 10.6.8. I can log onto the Yahoo website, but not my e-mail, it works fine in Safari but not with FF? I get a message in the tab that reads"Bad Request", never seen this before, has anyone else?

apple?If you are using IMAP mail connection (IMAP keeps the mail on the server), then you just configure the other computer's mail client to access the same account.
If you are using a POP mail connection, then the mail is generally downloaded to your Mac and deleted from the server. That is a much more difficult problem to solve. NOTE: Google's gmail does have a POP option that does NOT delete the mail on the server, so it is accessible via the gmail web page.
A lot depends on what you are using for your mail service and whether you are using IMAP or POP protocols. -

In Mail you can select Import Mailboxes... from the File menu. There is an import from Entourage feature.

Why can't I access Google Mail any loinger due to Safari error?
Notwithstanding upgrading Java and Security with the latest downloads, I no longer seem to be able to access Google Mail; when I try I get an error message. The strange thing is that I get the same from Firefox too. Could this have to do with the security update?

Try maintenance...
From the Safari Menu Bar, click Safari / Empty Cache. When you are done with that...
From the Safari Menu Bar, click Safari / Reset Safari. Select the top 5 buttons and click Reset.
If Safari unexpectedly quits, it could be a 3rd party plugins causing the problem. Go to ~/Library/Internet Plugins. Move any 3rd party plugins to the Trash and restart your Mac.
And make sure Safari is not running in Rosetta. Right or control click the Safari icon in your Applications folder then click Get Info. In the Get Info window click the black disclosure triangle so it faces down. Where you see Open using Rosetta... make sure that is NOT selected.
Try Open DNS - Free / Basic
Go to ~/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari/ Move the Cache.db file to the Trash and restart your Mac.
For Firefox:
1. From the Tools menu, select Clear Recent History... .
2. From the Time range to clear: drop-down menu, select the desired range; to clear your entire cache, select Everything.
3. Click the down arrow next to "Details" to choose what history elements to clear. Click Clear Now.
Repair disk permissions...
Quit any open applications/programs. Launch Disk Utility. (Applications/Utilities) Select MacintoshHD in the panel on the left, select the FirstAid tab. Click: Repair Disk Permissions. When it's finished from the Menu Bar, Quit Disk Utility and restart your Mac. If you see a long list of "messages" in the permissions window, it's ok. That can be ignored. As long as you see, "Permissions Repair Complete" when it's finished... you're done. Quit Disk Utility and restart your Mac.
