How can I activate Java in Win 7 and Firefox 9?
I need to log into a site that requires Java. I am running Window 7 64bit home Ed and Firefox 9.0.1. Java 64 is installed but does not show up in Firefox. I can find no troubleshooting info anywhere on your site regarding this problem
Firefox 9.0.1 is a 32-bit browser. No scheduled release date for a 64-bit version of Firefox at this time, as far as I know. Read the following from the Java site, especially the last sentence in the section "Summary":

I want to use java.util.Date in View Context and in Custom Control Context of Web dynpro java. When i mapped of a Input Field to the java.util.Date then message shows that its not supported. Plz suggest me how to handle Date with different formats ??If you always want the user to enter the date in dd/MM/yyyy, you can do the following.
Goto Local Dictonary -> Simple types in your project and create a type known as "InputDate" (or whatever you feel) of built-in type 'Date'.
Now specifiy its format in the 'Representation' tab as "dd/MM/yyyy" (case-senstive).
Now declare a value attribute say "inputdate" in your context with this type and bind the inputfield to this context value attribute.
This will solve your problem.
But if you want the user to input date depending on the region he belongs, change the default locale date in Control Panel->Regional and Language Options->Change to English(UK) -> Customize -> Date Tab -> Sort Date Format to dd/MM/yyyy.
Now clear the cache, delete temporary files and restart the machine. This should solve the problem. -

If it's the same computer, same CPU and same HD, no de-activation or re-activation should be necessary.
Install from scratch and apply all updates manually.
Please do a forum search. I and others have repeatedly answered the question about failed updates of CS5 a whole bunch of times recently.
Bottom line: the Adobe auto updater is utterly useless in CS5 and prior versions. You need to download the updates and apply them manually yourself.
I and others have even supplied the links for Mac and Win, which you haven't even bothered to specify. -

I can't get java to work with Firefox on my mac with OS 10.6.8. I did everything suggested and still no luck. Java is installed, enabled, and updated. You can NOT unlock it. Only the carrier it is locked to can legally authorize unlocking it and the Japanese carriers will not do so.
