How can i add a phone to my existing itunes account

My husband's iPhone 5C will not turn on yet I am being instructed by Apple that I must deactivate it or be charged $900 for returning it un-deactivated. It was never added to my itunes account, so I cannot deactivate it remotely unless I add it. How can I add it, deactivate it and add the replacement phone? Please help as I have a very limited amount of time (and hair) left to accomplish this or be charged another $900 by apple for not returning it in a timely manner. Thanks.

If it won't power on, there's nothing you can do. Are they asking you to remove it from Find My iPhone? If so, and it's not associated with any account, then there's nothing to remove/deactivate.

You can do both. Adding a second iPhone is no more complicated than adding the first; you can also have multiple iTunes libraries on a computer and content from multiple iTunes Store accounts in a library. If a library contains protected content from more than five iTunes Store accounts, you may run into trouble when syncing.

Unfortunately it will be difficult. iPads are personal devices like phones and done have credentials. You can of course log out of and into the app store to download purchased apps but the iPad will then have all the apps of both your wife and you (though you could put these into folders I guess).

You have to authorize the computer in iTunes. Launch iTunes and go to Store>Authorize this computer from the menu at the top of the screen. You will have to enter your Apple ID and password.

I know you can link your credit card to your Ipad, go to the app strore and go to the bottom and tap apple Id and sighn in then go to payment information and you can set up a credit card. Hope this helps

You cannot. Copy everything you want form the old computer to the new one, then sync it.
it basically says you have to erase your iphone to sync to a new itunes!
Correct Iphone will sync, or manually manage, with one and only one computer/library at a time. Syncing, or manually managing, to another will indeed erase the current content.
