How can I add an Adobe Flash Plugin?

I cannot find an "Adobe Flash Plugin" in my add-ons list. I search that name and it is not offerred to me.
I have updated Firefox and downloaded the update for "Adobe Flash Player". Why won't it add a plug in? I'm running Mac OSX 10.6.8.

Where do I go in the comp to find out,
If I type in Adobe flash into search it only brings up flash manager, when I click this it is an uninstaller program.
Lightsource shows in finder apps.
If I type in flash player it shows up in plugins with a version number see screen shot.
Where would I go to check for updates for things like flash on my comp?

If all you want to do is watch videos on Youtube, you don't need Flash and can watch them in HTML5 instead. All you need to do is to install Firefox which supports WebM. Firefox will run on most systems without a problem: http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/8.0/system-requirements/ (download link on the same page).

OK I don't know but the latest version of flash player really frustrated me. I don't like Chrome been my entire life Firefox user, but I will have to switch over since I can't stand adobe flash plugin. I uninstalled it and after reboot Firefox automatically plays videos in youtube but does not do the same thing in dailymotion or vimeo or other websites. Is there a solution? IMO, the best version of Flash for WinXP. Adobe kept up with security updates for 10.3 for WinXP users long after Flash 11.0 came out in 2011 for Vista and newer versions of Windows.
Run the uninstaller, then reboot your operating system.
Then you can run the Flash installer, with Firefox closed, of course.
