How can i add an rss feed to mac mail?

I am trying to unclog my email and cancel many of the news related emails I get each day. I would like to figure out the best way to still get news sent to me (without having to always remember to check 6-7 websites). I used to use RSS feeds into my email program (was using outlook). I cannot figure out how to add an rss feed to show up in mac mail as an email folder on the left hand side of the screen under the mailboxes.

That functionality is not to be found in Apple Mail for Safari. Your best bet is the brilliant free RSS reader Vienna. Works very well, highly recommended.

How can I get my RSS feeds to show up on my iOS devices from iCloud? The RSS feeds now show up just fine on my iMac.
On my iMac the appear in a category at the same level as In Box, Sent, etc. However the term RSS is in lighter grey like Mailboxes, On My Mac, Reminders. I use Snow Leopard 10.7.5. Any help will be appreciated as I'd like to read the feeds on my iPad 2 and iPhone 5 when I'm away from home.

You did not mention that it must be through iCloud. But then, it can't really do so if you want to maintain separate Apple IDs.
So you just set up an additional calendar on your devices.
iPads, iPhone, Macs can show multiple calendars simultaneously. I have my work calendar and several personal calendars all showing simultaneously on my iPad, Mac Mini and Macbook Pro. In the case of my client, they didn't need multiple calendars. They just were going to use the one shared calendar. But I did setup the shared Google calendar and separate personal caldendars on their iPhones. (e.g.: Husband's iPhone = husband's personal Mac Cal + shared Google Calendar. Wife's iPhone = wife's personal Outlook for Windows Cal + shared Google Calendar.)

RSS feeds don't do that - if they add the feed to an RSS reader (including Safari or FireFox) they will see new updates every time they check: but sending them emails on each added episode would require extra programming in the actual program, which iWeb doesn't provide. You would need to have a mailing list and send out an email manually each time you add an episode.

The issue though, is how do I generate an RSS feed from my podcasts in Azure blog storage? It says "file not found", but it opens up Window Media Player and plays the file for me.

How can I save the RSS feed from awebsite on the toolbar so it will show all the content in a folding menu?

In the previous versions of FireFox I Could push the RSS sign in the addressbar and choose to have the feed on my bookmark toolbar. In that way i could push the feed name on the bar and see names of feeds i have read and them I havent read and decide whiche one to go to. today when i save a bookmark to the toolbar and then push it there, instead of showing me the different content in a folding menu like before, the whole page jumps to the website. How can I save the feed from the website like before?

How Can I delete an RSS Feed in iTunes/podcasts?

I have an old rss feed that I want deleted in itunes. I have created a new rss feed and it's up and working great. I want the old one deleted.
I have used "Report a Concern" and asked itunes to delete the old feed, but nothing has happened. so I went to the files and renamed them all and re-pinged the page so itunes would realize that the feed no longer works, but that hasn't work either. I've searched the forum but can't seem to find out how to have itunes delete the old podcast feed.
Any ideas?

normally, an rss feed is loaded from another domain. it looks like you've copied an rss feed and saved it as a local file.
if you want to use as2 to load a local xml file, use the xml class. if you want to load the cross-domain rss feed, use the loadvars class to load the return from a server-side script (eg, php) that loads the cross-domain rss feed.

We use it to feed content to our iTunes U public sites as well as in many other venues such as our statewide LMS. How can i add a language for spellcheck in Mail?

The spell check in the Mac Mail program does not include the Norwegian language - however in the Tekst option panel it says that i can add the word list files by copying the .aff and .dic files and adding them to the spelling/library-file. Is this (.aff .dic) something i need to download or do I have them on my Mac somewhere? If so, then where can i find them?

How can I override the hyperlink underline in mac mail 4.5 OS 10.6.8

I have designed a signature with hyperlinks to my email and my website. No matter what I do, I can't seem to remove the underline that accompanies the link ability. I have tried command U and by going through the menu options in the Font section. Does anyone know how to do this?

How can I do a clean install of Mac Mail client? ...

... without doing a clean reinstall of the entire OS?
I've been wrestling with my Mac Mail client all day and am pretty sure I've got a corrupted file somewhere, either in the app or in the Home<Library folder somewhere. I've been using the mail app for several years without issues with .mac mail as the primary and a couple of POP accounts from gmail and pacbell. The troubles began late Monday when I was batch deleting some old e-mails from the mail server. The entire inbox (maybe 120+ e-mails disappeared.
Since then, I can receive mail from all three mail providers, but am unable to send via any provider on my Mac Mail client. I have a PC that pulls mail from all three services via POP3, and it's working fine for both sending and receiving.
I was also able to create a .mac account on the Mac Mail client on a spare iMac and had no trouble sending or receiving from it. But the Mail client on my G5 refuses to send. I've reconfigured all the accounts, checked them 10 times, deleted and reinstalled them all, all to no avail, which is why I think there's bad ju-ju in one of the files somewhere.
Any suggestions?

First find out if you need to reinstall the mail app. Create a new user by going to system preferences >accounts. Unlock the lock and click on the + sign. Create a new user account. Log into the new user by going to the apple menu and logging out. In the new user go to system preferences>.mac. Enter your user name and password. If you can log in here then open Mail. Your .mac mail should be automatically set up. Send a test e-mail to yourself. If Mail works then the problem is specific to your user account and you do not need to reinstall the Mail app. If the Mail works then consider continuing to set up your other accounts in this user. Once your accounts are working in the new user close all windows and applications. Go the the ~/Library/Preferences and holding down on the Option key drag the com.apple.mail.plist to desktop. Now select your hard drive icon in the finder window and double click on the Users folder. Drag the com.apple.mail.plist into the Shared folder. Log out of your new user account and back into your account. Navigate to the ~/Library/Preferences and drag your com.apple.mail.plist from that folder onto the desktop. Open your hard drive and go to the Users folder and open it, then open the Shared folder. Drag the com.apple .mail.plist from the shared folder into the open Preferences window. Close the windows and open mail. Mail should work.

Method 1: add the following tag to the feed between the 'channel' tag and the first 'item' tag:

If you have access to the server where the feed is held you can simply download it, add the tag in a plain text editor such as TextEdit on a Mac (it must be in plain text mode, not Rich Text which is often the default), then re-uploaad it.
if you have made your podcast in one of the online services you may not have access to the feed to edit it, so:

If you are no longer creating a podcast and you want it removed from iTS, you should:
Log into iTS.
Find and select your podcast.
Click on Report a Concern under the Links heading on the far left.
Select "Remove a Podcast" from the Choose a Reason menu.
Explain why you want the podcast removed.
In most cases, we will remove the podcast from iTS, especially if we find that the podcast is no longer available at the feed URL.
That's the official method, though there have been cases of Support simply telling people to add the blocking tag, even though they don't have access to the feed.

The add a new mailbox connected to the one I usually use in Exchange. On my office PC is not a problem: Settings - Advanced - Add an additional mailbox.

I am replying to my own post as I found a solution!!
Mail > Preferences > Accounts then add in your email address and password and mail does the rest, finds the exchange server and sorts it out - much easier than setting it up in Outlook!

I recently upgraded from iPhoto to the new Photos app on my Mac. I then decided to try iCloud Photo Sharing. I have 10,000 photos on my Mac and I keep them organized by albums. I cannot figure out how to add entire selected existing photo albums in my Photos app which reside on my Mac to icloud Photo Sharing rather than adding photos one at a time. Open the album and select all of the photos. click on the Share button and select the Shared Photo Album you want to add them to (or create a new shared album).

How can I add Romanian spellcheking to my mac os lion

After a life being on windows, I've started a new life on Mac. Many things obvious in windows, for mac are difficult to understand as a beginer. e.g. By default there is russian keyboard and spellcheking available on. As for Romanian there is a keyboard but not spellcheking available neither for pages nor for mail and other applications. Does spellcheking for Romanian exists in Mac OS environment at all? or Romanian text editing in Mac OS is not allowed :-)
