How can I add photos taken during the past month from my Camera Roll to the Photo Stream album?

    Hi,
It's easy to do in iPhoto11 (click on a photo in iphoto and select share in the bottom right corner, then select Photo Stream), I'm not sure you can do this on the iphone.

I have photos on my Ipad that I copied from my PC (that I am selling) & now want to add my photos from my Mac to keep them all in one place.  When I try to sync it says it will delete the photos on my Ipad unless they were taken with the Ipad.  How can I just add what is on my Mac to my Ipad without deleting what is on my Ipad?

"OK, so how do I transfer images to my computer? "
This has been answered.  The sync is one way - computer to ipad.  You can e-mail them to yourself.
" Whenever I connect the iPad to my Mac I get a message telling me that all the photos on the iPad will be replaced. Why?"
This is the design of the product.  It will sycn with one computer.  Sycning to anotehr will erase hte current content.  The ipad simply mirrors the selected content of the computer to which it is synced.
"When I connect my mp3 player to my PC, at home, I can find the player in Explorer and edit the contents, move or delete files, add files from my computer etc. All under my controll, simple and easy."
OK.  This is not the case with the  ipad.  It is not designed as a storage device.

  • How can I move photos from other albums into the camera roll

I have synced photos from my computer onto the iPad. There placed in a different album. How can I move them into the camera roll?

You could do it by setting up a Shared Photo Stream. Select the photos in the Photo app then tap the Shared button selecting Photo Stream. Just don't enter any email address and it will appear on your other devices. Only photos can be added and not albums so you will have to re-organize then on the iPhone.
I would recommend getting the photos to the computer as well though. Create a photo library on the computer and sync then over to the iphone with iTunes. The photo library on the computer can be added to a more reliable backup.

  • How can I remove photos from an album on my iPhone?

    Hey
I am trying to remove photos on my iphone from an album from but when I remove the photos from the camera roll album they got removed in all the others albums so is htere any way to remove the pics from an album only and not from all the albums?
    Thanks

No. Albums you create on your phone merely contain pointers to the actual photos in your camera roll, not copies of the photos. If you just want the photos in albums, import the photos from your camera roll, delete them from your camera roll, then sync the albums back to your phone.

  • Can I add photos from camera roll to photostream to sync to iMac?

Trying to think of the easiest way to get some pics from my iPhone 5 to my iMac, and also to get them off my iPhone to free up some iCloud storage space.
Is it possible to add some of my pics to a photostream and then on my iMac get them out of the photostream (will they be full resolution with GPS location data etc?), to copy to my iMac and add them to iPhoto eventually?
Is there a step by step how or any help
    Cheers

You said: "... get them off my iPhone to free up some iCloud storage space."  I don't understand the connection between your iPhone and iCloud storage space.  So I won't address that.
Anyway, assuming your iMac has a current version of iPhoto right now, you could simply plug your iPhone into your iMac, open iPhoto, and import the iPhone's photos from the Camera Roll (which is where I assume you are trying to get the photos from).  Then you could use either iPhoto or the iPhone directly to delete the photos from the iPhone's Camera Roll.
And yes, they will be full resolution with GPS info.

  • If my iphone is stolen how can i retrieve photos from stolen device via photostream or icloud

My iphone was stolen 1 month ago.  I have set up an ´erase content´ and icloud block via the find my iphone app.  Will I be able to retrieve photos from taken on my stolen iphone via photostream or an icloud restore/back up some how?
Someone has contacted saying they bought my stolen iphone (in peru) and are asking that I unblock my phone.  I have since recieved a new iphone via insurance but would like to now if there is a way to access my photos taken on the stolen device.  Because I have a macbook that is also logged into my icloud account, will i somehow be able to access my old photos from my macbook?

The erase should take place the next time the phone is on and connected to a data network (via wi-fi or cellular). There is no need for them to enter your password. More details: iCloud: Erase your device
They don't have to enter your Apple ID password for that to happen. Do NOT give them your password, now or ever. They do not need to enter anything for the erase to take place. It just needs to connect to a data network (and that may not be possible if the phone is outside of your cellular carrier's area and if it cannot connect to wi-fi).
Do NOT remove the device from your account. The quote below is from If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch is lost or stolen
What if your iOS device is off or offline?
If your missing device is off or offline, you can still put it in Lost Mode, lock it, or remotely erase it. The next time your device is online, these actions will take effect. If you remove the device from your account while it's offline, any pending actions for the device will be cancelled.
There isn't anything else you can do at this point to make the phone erase -- you have done what you can do. If the phone did not have a passcode, they have likely already had access to your data if the phone is in a foreign country since it wouldn't be online (connected to wi-fi or cellular) unless they intentionally did that.

  • How can I add photos from iMessages to my albums?

    Hello Everyone!
Well my friends have been sending me pictures through iMessages but I can't watch them in my camera roll or even other albums.
This is a big problem because sometimes I want to set one of them as picture profile on what's app or other but I can't get any of them :S
    Thank you for your answers!!

If you open the photo in an iMessage, you should be able to see a small box with an arrow pointing up in the left lower corner of the screen. Tap on that and it should give you the option to save the image. From there, it will be saved in your Camera Roll.

  • HT1848 How can I add photos to the iPad while not deleting any currently on it? I have some photos from my brother's camera that I can't get again.  How could save them onto my iMac?

I have uploaded photos from my brother's camera while on vacation to my iPad (1).  Now that I wish to add even more photos to the iPad,  iTunes say that it will replace all the photos once I sync again to add from an album on the iMac.
    WHOA.
I'd like to upload the photos to the iMac! HOw can I do that?
How can I add photos from albums on the iMac and not lose the ones I currently have stored onthe iPad.
I cannot find this task addressed in any Help reference.
I do not understand why I cannot make a simple file transfer back and forth.
    Many thanks!

Another way. You can use a USB flash drive & the camera connection kit.
Plug the USB flash drive into your computer & create a new folder titled DCIM. Then put your movie/photo files into the folder. The files must have a filename with exactly 8 characters long (no spaces) plus the file extension (i.e., my-movie.mov; DSCN0164.jpg).
Now plug the flash drive into the iPad using the camera connection kit. Open the Photos app, the movie/photo files should appear & you can import. (You can not export using the camera connection kit.)

  • How can I copy photos from the camera roll to an album in ipad?

How can I copy photos from the camera roll to an already existing album in ipad?

If you are in thumbnail view in the Camera Roll, tap the Edit button in the upper right corner. Tap the photos that you want to add to the existing album. Tap - Add To - in the upper right corner and then tap - Existing Album.
You can only add camera roll photos to albums that you have created on the iPad. You cannot add them to albums that you synced from iTunes.

  • How can I sync photos from my computer to iPad2?  When I try, it asks the photos will replace the three apps I created

How can I sync photos from my computer to iPad2?  When I try, it asks the photos replacing three apps I created.

    You're welcome.
However, can you then organise your photos in i Pad into different categories so that it is easier to access? If that can be done , then can we keep them separately in i Pad so that it can not be deleted when we Sync next time around?
Already answered with my previous post, which is not by category but by photo albums or folders or photos.
Create a parent folder on your computer to store the folders of photos that you want transferred to your iPad only. Select the parent folder under the Photos tab for iPad sync preferences with iTunes followed by a sync.
To add another folder of photos to your iPad, place the folder of photos in the selected parent folder followed by a sync.
The named folder of photos in the parent folder will be transferred to your iPad as seperate albums or folders of photos.
When adding a new folder of photos to the selected parent folder to be transferred to your iPad followed by a sync, the existing folders of photos in the parent folder that are already available on your iPad will not be touched or removed with the next sync to transfer the new folder of photos to your iPad.
