How can I add photos from iMessages to my albums?
Hello Everyone!
Well my friends have been sending me pictures through iMessages but I can't watch them in my camera roll or even other albums.
This is a big problem because sometimes I want to set one of them as picture profile on what's app or other but I can't get any of them :S

If you open the photo in an iMessage, you should be able to see a small box with an arrow pointing up in the left lower corner of the screen. Tap on that and it should give you the option to save the image. From there, it will be saved in your Camera Roll.

It's easy to do in iPhoto11 (click on a photo in iphoto and select share in the bottom right corner, then select Photo Stream), I'm not sure you can do this on the iphone.

I have photos on my Ipad that I copied from my PC (that I am selling) & now want to add my photos from my Mac to keep them all in one place. When I try to sync it says it will delete the photos on my Ipad unless they were taken with the Ipad. How can I just add what is on my Mac to my Ipad without deleting what is on my Ipad?

This has been answered. The sync is one way - computer to ipad. You can e-mail them to yourself.

This is the design of the product. It will sycn with one computer. Sycning to anotehr will erase hte current content. The ipad simply mirrors the selected content of the computer to which it is synced.

OK. This is not the case with the ipad. It is not designed as a storage device. -

How can I add Photos from iPhoto Lib (6.0.6) to a film in iMovie (6.0.3)?
I looked in the manual and it tells me to simply open iphoto so i will see the photos of my library in order to import them into my movie. BUT: it doesn't work! I opened iPhoto, clicked on "Media" (German Version) but if I click on Photos I see nothing exept "Open iPhoto 2 or higher or Aperture 1.5 or higher in order to show pictures of your iPhoto Archive" Can you help me?? I have uploaded photos from my brother's camera while on vacation to my iPad (1). Now that I wish to add even more photos to the iPad, iTunes say that it will replace all the photos once I sync again to add from an album on the iMac.

Plug the USB flash drive into your computer & create a new folder titled DCIM. Then put your movie/photo files into the folder. The files must have a filename with exactly 8 characters long (no spaces) plus the file extension (i.e., my-movie.mov; DSCN0164.jpg).
Now plug the flash drive into the iPad using the camera connection kit. Open the Photos app, the movie/photo files should appear & you can import. (You can not export using the camera connection kit.)

How can I add photos in the Camera roll to My photo stream if they were taken prior to icloud being activated?
You have a couple of options:
Open the photos one at a time and take a screenshot. This will add a new low resolution copy of the photo to the camera roll, which will then upload to your photo stream;
Email the photos one at a time to yourself, then save the attached photos to your camera roll. This will add a copy of the photo at full resolution to your camera roll and upload to photo stream;
Use an app like PhotoSync, which will allow you to wirelessly transfer copies of all your old photos to your computer all at once. Then delete these photos from your camera roll and use PhotoSync to transfer them back from your computer to your camera roll. These will be the original resolution and will upload to your photo stream. (You need an app like this because iTunes will not transfer photos back to your camera roll, where they must be in order to add to your photo stream.) -

If you are in thumbnail view in the Camera Roll, tap the Edit button in the upper right corner. Tap the photos that you want to add to the existing album. Tap - Add To - in the upper right corner and then tap - Existing Album.
You can only add camera roll photos to albums that you have created on the iPad. You cannot add them to albums that you synced from iTunes. -

However, can you then organise your photos in i Pad into different categories so that it is easier to access? If that can be done , then can we keep them separately in i Pad so that it can not be deleted when we Sync next time around?
Already answered with my previous post, which is not by category but by photo albums or folders or photos.
Create a parent folder on your computer to store the folders of photos that you want transferred to your iPad only. Select the parent folder under the Photos tab for iPad sync preferences with iTunes followed by a sync.
To add another folder of photos to your iPad, place the folder of photos in the selected parent folder followed by a sync.
The named folder of photos in the parent folder will be transferred to your iPad as seperate albums or folders of photos.
When adding a new folder of photos to the selected parent folder to be transferred to your iPad followed by a sync, the existing folders of photos in the parent folder that are already available on your iPad will not be touched or removed with the next sync to transfer the new folder of photos to your iPad. -

Sorry but your iPhoto library is not on an iPad or iPod - you may have photos there (most likely low resolution copies) but not an iPhoto library - dying computers (along with software and human errors) are why you always must have a backup - now is the time to load it

How can I transfer photos from an IPhone 5 to an IPad 2 using a cable. I have tried using the lightning to firewire adapter with my current lead but this only seems to allow a download from the IPad to the IPhone and not the other way around.
The devices are not designed for transfer of that kind. Use Photo Stream as suggested by another poster, or transfer photos to your computer (a good idea anyway since they will be lost if your device needs to be reset), then use iTunes to sync them to the other devices.
