Yes, you can add your own videos to iTunes, then sync them to your nano, subject to supported max resolution limit and file type. The specs for the 7th gen nano says (I don't know which nano model you have), Video Format Support

(earlier nanos have lower max resolution limits)
So, "HD" video is too high resolution, so iTunes will not sync such videos to the iPod (although they play in iTunes). If you are asking how to set up iTunes to sync videos in general (regardless of source), please post back.

I can't get my movies and tv shows on iPad now that I have added iCloud. The problem is that my iTunes account has different name and password from my mobile me account. Can I change my iTunes account name and password so that they will transfer to my iPad with the mobile me / iCloud account? I need to figure out how to make the two accounts one or iCloud has to be able to accept my iTunes account with years of music and movies.

I got the "wrong answer", so the next time I asked for an email authentication. I am still waiting. I don't know what the usual time for waiting normally is. I am still waiting for an email reply from three days ago. I'm not going to hold my breath. My ipad is out of warranty but I may have to beg for help from support? I'll wait awhile longer. I have a mac and wireless internet.Because you've got music and movies streaming to your Apple TV, I know you've authorized Home Sharing under the file menu of iTunes. But under that same iTunes file menu you must also go to the "Home Sharing" pull-down and select "Choose Photos to Share With Apple TV". You can select All photos, or just specific albums. Maybe worth saying again that this is done from iTunes and not iPhoto.
If you've already done this and still no photos on AppleTV, check to see that your photo file names (previously imported into iPhoto) have valid suffixes (such as photo.jpg). Without that valid suffix, iPhoto on your Mac will show the photo just fine (courtesy of the hidden Type Code embedded in the photo file), but AppleTV will not.

I am considering the purchase of an iMac or Macbook and want to know whether I can import my iTunes library of +400 albums from my Windows PC over my Home Network? 300 of these albums have been imported from CD's, so would not want to have to do that again.
Just copy the entire /Musci/iTunes/ folder from old computer to /Music/ on new computer.
The libraries will be identical (date added, ratings, artwork, etc.).

The Newsstand app acts different from other app. Each magazine is a separate app therefore they are deleted individually as if they are apps. You can't delete Newsstand. One last step, after you tap the tiny x, tap the home button to stop the wiggling.

In what country? Virgin is a supported GSM carrier in Canada. In the US, they are a CDMA carrier. In the UK, they are unsupported. They may have Nano-SIMs there, but you'll have to ask them.

I tried authorizing movies and TV shows on my new iMac that I have authorized on one or two computers/devices total, but when I click to authorize, it says that they've already been authorized on 5 computers. It's quite a bother, and I can't even find how to contact Apple directly to be able to complain to them about their problem. What should I do?
It is possible to have mistakenly authorized a computer more than once. To fix that:
Open iTunes.
From the Store menu, choose "Deauthorize This Computer…"
Enter your account name and password.
Click OK. A message appears reading "This computer has been successfully deauthorized."
Click OK.
Repeat steps 2 through 5 above. If you see the same message reading: "This computer has been successfully deauthorized," then your computer was using multiple authorizations.
Repeat steps 2 through 5 above until you see a message reading "This computer was not authorized. To authorize this computer, play a song or video you have purchased using this account."
If that does not fix it for you, you can "deauthorize all" your computers. This will solve your problem, but you may only do this once per year.

ITunes can't distinguish between movies and TV shows
Hi,
How old is iTunes now? How many updates have we been fed with all kinds of new 'features' that are either not that useful or already duplicate functions? Why can iTunes STILL not catalog files correctly?
I have movies and TV shows all mixed together, some are duplicated and some are just named 'comedy' or some other useless title. I got so fed up with it I spent a rainy day painstakingly renaming and sorting all these files. This was followed by the inevitable long drawn out and slow process of resynching Apple TV, resynching iPhones and basically playing every file labelled 'untitled' or 'unknown' and then identifying and renaming it.
So I was well-pleased when the latest version of iTunes decided it didn't like my new filing system and has messed it all up again. I now have duplicate files, files incorrectly filed, broken links and right now over 400 'missing' files according to iTunes.
They're not 'missing'. They're on the same hard drive in the same folders and in the same place they've always been. They've not been renamed, reordered or in anyway changed, yet the wonderful iTunes has decreed things ain't what they should be and changed it all for me.
I'm not happy. By all means change my files, but not to create the mess you've now left me to sort out.
What is it with Apple these days? why can't they just leave something that works to function properly. I can find my own 'album cover art', I don't need iTunes to paste the wrong art on the wrong album and mix up all my genres, shows and movies.
If you want to help, fix that mother of a problem before making it look pretty.

Anyone out there who can help me permantly delete movies and TV Shows from my iCloud that I moved to the Cloud from my iPad Air to the Cloud?
You can't delete them from iCloud because they aren't stored in your personal account (and don't use any of your storage). You are only seeing download links so they can be redownloaded from the iTunes store. You can't delete anything from this list of previously purchased media, but if you don't want to see them on your device you can hide them in iTunes on your computer as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4919. After hiding them, you won't see them on your device unless you unhide them again.

i have tryed to use a cd and do it as data but didnt fit. i tryed to use a dvd like HP lightscribe and that did work it said it wasnt blank. i looked it up and it said buy one from apple products but it didnt have any. does any one know where to buy a cd that can only be read on a computer and not on a dvd player???
You're talking about the shows you've purchased from iTunes, correct? Yes, these will mostly be bigger than will fit on a CD (720mb at the most, and most shows will run 1gb or larger) but if you have the ability to write to a DVD that's the best bet anyway.
If you do have a DVD writer in your machine you can buy blanks nearly anywhere -- these blanks can be used for data or for playing in a DVD player. There is no difference between the two. Cheapest place in the US is most likely CostCo or some such. Office Depot/Office Max, Radio Shack, Best Buy, Circuit City, they will all carry DVD blanks. You will want either DVD-R or DVD+R but I'd recommend DVD-R as that's a slightly more reliable data format. Buy the cheapest you can find, as nowadays quality control is very high on all major brands.
And backup is a very good idea -- you're doing the absolute right thing here! -
Cannot download music from I-Tunes Store (Error -50)
New to using I-Tunes Store.
When I try to purchase songs and subsequently when they try to down load, unknown error -50 turns up.
Have download new version of I-Tunes and disabled Norton Online with no success.
I am currently with Netzero and have asked if there is anything on their end causing the problem.
Any advice would be appreciated.

You should go onto the Tmobile web site and look around. Very soon a pop up window will ask you if you want to chat. You can try asking for someone who knows Spanish (if you prefer), they might have someone available who can chat with you in Spanish.
I give this suggestion because I remember on the Tmobile website, you can order on line, but they let you choose to pay only a little money up front, then pay off the rest over 24 months, or you can choose to pay for it in full. However, their ordering process does not say whether the paid for in full phone is going to be unlocked or not.
It may not be, You may have to make a request and say that since you have paid in full please unlock. I am not so sure that a paid for in full phone is automatically sold in unlocked state.
This is why I suggest you talk to Tmobile to get a definite answer.
Unless someone else on this forum knows for sure? Hope someone else jumps in to answer. But the best way is to ask for yourself directly from Tmobile.
