I was just wondering. Can I add a simple MP4 video to the iTunes library and sync it to iPod Nano? If not, what is the best video converter I can use and how to add it in iTunes library? Thanks in advance.

If the iPod nano is a third through fifth generation model, yes. Otherwise, no. Adding it to the iTunes library is a separate process which doesn't involve the iPod; if a converter is needed, use MPEG Streamclip.

Yes, you can add your own videos to iTunes, then sync them to your nano, subject to supported max resolution limit and file type. The specs for the 7th gen nano says (I don't know which nano model you have), Video Format Support

So, "HD" video is too high resolution, so iTunes will not sync such videos to the iPod (although they play in iTunes). If you are asking how to set up iTunes to sync videos in general (regardless of source), please post back.

This indicates that one or more of your parameters is not correct. Since your movie is MPEG4, you did not use the built-in QT Pro "Movie to iPod (320x240)" preset. Recommend you use this setting initially until you learn correct parameters allowed for sync of iPod compatible files.
If you want to use the MPEG4 file format and wish to skip experimenting on your own and/or looking up specific settings to use (as well as those you need to turn off), suggest you download Digigami's "MoviesForYourPod" application. This application will use your QT tools but has more presets than the High Quality, 2-Pass (slow) preset found in QT Pro's export.
ADDITIONAL NOTES: Neither this application nor QT Pro itself can convert muxed MPEG movies which have no audio when converted. Many AVI formats cannot be converted without a component from DivX or 3ivX.

When I am viewing a shared photostream that I subscribe to I am able to select photos and add them to my camera roll (essentially saving someone's shared photos to my device). Now that you can add videos to shared photostreams with ios 7 I was hoping to be able to do the same with videos. However, when I view a shared vieo and attempt to save it to my camera roll it is not an option. Any ideas on how to do this?

To save photos/video from the photo stream to your camera roll, select it, click the share button, and select "save to camera roll". It will remain in the photo stream as well, until you delete it.

There are, but not with a DVD written as a movie disk. It must be closed when completed, or it doesn't work.
Apple's built in Burn utility also automatically closes any data CD, DVD or Blu-ray disk you burn. Doesn't matter how much space is unused, you can't use it. You'd have to use a more advanced disk creation app, such as Toast Titanium. I then have the option of choosing to write the data as a session:
I can keep doing this until the disk is full. If I've written five sessions to the disk, when I put it in the drive, five CD/DVD icons will appear on the desktop since the OS will treat each session as if they are separate physical disks. At any point you choose Write Disk when writing a group of data, that means you're closing the disk, and again can't add anything after that. So if I had written two sessions, and the third was Write Disk, it's over. I can't put anything else on that disk.

Even though David's answer is for Final Cut Express, the same answer should apply for FCP X only you would need to place the "track" ... let's say clip ... above the clip it is to overlay. Thus it can either be a storyline or a connected clip but it should reside above the primary storyline assumming that is where the video is you want your logo to overlay. As David points out, the type of graphic file should be one that allows the transparent background feature such as a PNG or PSD, etc. Of course, if your logo has a solid box background, you may be able to simply scale it down and position it to the right place and overlay it over your other video clip using the method described above. On the computer in iTunes log into her Apple ID and then see if recent purchases are shown by clicking on her name in iTunes, entering her password and then selecting the option. If there is nothing there then she bought that music with a different Apple ID.
You can use TouchCopy to move all the songs on the iPod to the computer. Then try to play one of the purchase songs and it should show the account used to purchase it and ask for the password.

I am simply wanting to “overlay” a new visual element without disturbing the underlying audio.
A classical way to do a Premiere Elements Overlay is to hold down the Ctrl key of the computer main keyboard and drag the new clip over the area of the one you want to replace on the Timeline. That should not do anything but replace one portion of the video on the Timeline. No change in duration video or audio track if you are dealing with video linked to audio.
If you hold down the Alt key of the computer main keyboard, I am envising a scenario where you want to add to (not replace) some Timeline content.
A just in case note, if you have video on Video 1 and 2 and the video in 2 does not have transparent areas in it, then all you will see is the Video 2 content. I believe that Hunt eluded to that concept as a possible technique for what you might be doing.

If so, then you will probably looking at a hardware mixing console/switcher, with character generation capabilities.
