How can I adjust the volume while using FaceTime?

For example while I'm watching somethin on safari and talking to my friend on facetime at the same time, i want the facetime volume lower than others.
Is it possible?

Doesn't simply adjusting your system volume work? (System Preferences/Sound/Output - I always leave "show volume in menu bar" checked so I don't have to go into System Preferences to make volume adjustments)

Can't adjust the volume while using DJ controller

I've got a DJ controller. I just hopped from Windows to MAC (Pro Retina 13). I basically use Traktor DJ whenever I mix. Normally when I'd quit the program for DJing, the controller kept working - so I could play music via youtube through my speakers.
And just control the volume overall with the volume keys. Now that I'm on MAC, the DJ program works fine and I can control the master with a knob, but as soon as I quit the DJ program - It plays music through youtube and iTunes just fine, the only thing is it won't allow me to adjust the volume in any way.
The controller is mapped to a program, I can't use a master knob to adjust the volume out of the program...
Whenever I try to adjust the volume with the F11 and F12 keys it just shows an O with a slash through it.
I really want to control my volume through my mixer, please help!!!

In the Burn Disc dialog, there is an option to use Sound Check for that particular burn. This is supposed to normalize the volume across the tracks on an audio CD. It is entirely separate from Sound Check for iTunes playback.
Some people feel that Sound Check for Burning is not very effective. If you are not happy with the results, you may want to normalize the tracks first with a 3rd party program such as iVolume.

Hi. My ipad has no sound - especially when playing music. The volume button is just broken (not the one on the side but on the music app itself) - I can't adjust the volume, the round thing to adjust it is just gone, and it's just gray and no sound at all. I have an HP Officejet 4500 all-in-one printer and a new HP pavilion Slimline computer. Since I changed to this computer, my printouts have very small font size making them hard to read. How can I adjust the font size of the printout? Is it a computer or printer function? I appreciate the help.

I, too, am frustrated. This seems like something that would easily be handled within the application software. However, none of the fixes I've been offered have been very helpful. My cousin sugested using Control C and Control V to move the text to WORD. Once in WORD, you can manipulate the text on a WORD page...sometimes. I've had good and bad luck with this method. I don't know any way you can interrogate iDVD to reveal settings to the extent that you can in a Compressor project. What you could do is open up the show's VOB in MPEG STreamclip, go to File and Reveal Stream Information; that will at least give you some rudimentary info like average bit rate. Perhaps someone, with more iDVD experience, can chime in here.
The broader question is why use Compressor at all if your current workflow is doing the job to your satisfaction?
The value of Compressor is that it gives you control over the many parameters that affect size quality. and playability. The Compressor presets can give you a starting point for DVD delivery, Web, etc. From those presets, people typically experiment by adjusting the parameters until they get the desired results for their specific show. It's a little bit science and a little bit art. After experimenting, you may be able to get slightly better quality for the project you've successfully burned in iDVD by using Compressor and something likeToast…or maybe not.

Did you try that while on a phone call? Also there are different volumes for different devices. If you have your earbuds in and set a volume that will change the volume for when your earbuds are in. If you have a bluetooth headset you can set a volume for that.

True, the viewed camera image is always 4:3 with your old iMovie 6 HD, but experiment a bit.
Some of the iMovie 6 video formats you can select when you create your iSight clips in the separate iSight project can create a 16:9 frame. That frame will contain your 4:3 iSight image but be filled out to 16:9 with symmetrical black bars on the left and right sides of the image. These clips will be importable into your widescreen project. Although the portions recorded on your iSight will contain the black bars that keep the 16:9 aspect ratio you need, you should be able to include both the iSight captured video and your other video clips in the same 16:9 final product.
If you have a 16:9 digital cameras that can record the clips, use that to get the format you need and better image quality than iSight can provide.
However, if you really need to record 16:9 iSight video, and if your Mac has QuickTime Player (version 10.x), try using QTX. After you open a "New Movie Recording" window, QTX can change camera recording aspect ratios by using its Preference controls as shown in this image of the :
If you really need to use an iSight to capture widescreen video that is not block-filled, another option would be to use a later iMovie version that can record widescreen views of your inbuilt camera. I use iMovie '11 to do this, but, if you don't already have later versions, be sure to check System Requirements for later iMovies before you buy to see if they can work with your Mac OS version.

From your question, I assume you know how to do it for all persons :
Menu : Enhance/Adjust color/adjust color for skin tones
So what you have to do is to do the color correction on a layer copy. Concentrate on the person to enhance and ignore the rest of the picture.
When you are satisfied, add a mask to the layer copy and fill it with black.
Set your foreground color to white
In the layer palette, click on the mask icon on the right of the layer icon.
Then use a brush to paint white on the skin of the person to reveal the correction.

Think of the Data Pump Export/Import tools as taking a "picture" or "snapshot."
When you use these utilities it exports the data as it appears (by default) while it's doing the export operation. There is no way to export a delta in comparison to a previous export.
The FLASHBACK_TIME parameter allows you to get a consistent export as of a particular point in time.
I recommend you go to http://tahiti.oracle.com. Click on your version and go to the Utilities Guide. This is where all the information on Data Pump is located and should answer a lot of your questions.

No you can not - neither iPhoto nor Aperture has any cross platform capability
You can share photos with the PC using MyPhotoStream or Shared PhotoStreames
You can not share the iPhoto library
And you can not put the iPHoto library on a NAS - it MUST always be on a volume formatted Mac OS extended (journaled) and mube on a fast wired local connection - it can not be on a Network
There are Digital Asset Managers that can do what you want - iPhoto and Aperture can not

Thank you for the quick response. I opened both the TIFF and the EPS in Illustrator. I used the Eyedropper tool to get the CMYK values of the color of the text part in the TIFF, then I went back to the EPS and selected the text and input the CMYK values in the color tab. I know it's not precise, but it's close enough. Could I have done this better?
Yes, I have access to Photoshop but I haven't tried using it with vector files. I am really new to graphic design and I need all the help I can get. Thank you!
