How can I arrange my 'purchased' songs by date on my iPad?

On my Mac they can be arranged in many different ways, but on my new iPad Air2 they appear in random order and can't seemed to be changed.
Also, my iPad shows all of my songs purchased and other standard playlists but doesn't show my own personal playlists, can these be sent across the cloud to save room on the iPad?
Many thanks, Nick

They will only be where you put them.
You buy one download only.
It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer.  Use your backup copy to put everything on the new computer.
If for some reason you have failed to maintain a backup copy ( not good), then you can transfer itunes purchases from an ipod.  Without syncing:  File>Transfer Purchases

iCloud does not store messages for you to see/access at icloud.com.  It does back up messages so you can restore your iPhone if it ever needs to be reset to factory default.  A backup is an image of all your data on the iPhone, and if you delete some messages, then they won't be part of any further backups.
If two people use the same iCloud account, then their devices are kept in sync, just like a single user's multiple devices are kept in sync.  It's usually a good idea to have separate accounts for two people, since it's rarely the case that they want each phone to be an exact replica of the other.
Your iphone syncs contacts, events, camera roll, and many other things without the use of a computer.

It is probably not wise to leave your e-mail and phone number on a public forum.

  • How Can I Get My Purchased Songs Back?

Recently, my hard drive crashed. I did a data recovery and swapped out the hard drive for a new. After reloading all programs etc onto the new hard drive, i found that most of my iTunes were either missing or damaged. Many of them were from CDs, but a handful were purchased from the iTunes store.
Not only is my "purchased" folder not showing up, but I am missing a few of those songs. I thought all I would have to do is sign onto the iTunes store and they would appear, but it's apparently not that simple. How do I go about getting those files to show up in my library like they used to?

Apple has a strict download once policy so you can not redownload you purchased music.
It is often possible to recover files from a failed hard drive, but you might need professional help to do it.
If you have your iTunes data it should be easy to get it onto the new drive. You would need to say exactly what you managed to save, you need the iTunes folder and the iTunes Music folder.
If you have your Music on an iPod you can recover purchased music from it:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1848
There are many third party apps that allow you to recover everything from an iPod.
If none of these methods is available to you, the only hope is to explain the situation to Apple customer support and see if you can persuade them to make an exception and let you download again.

  • If i have songs on another computer, how can i get the purchased songs on my new computer

I had Itunes on a computer of mine that will not turn on now, is there a way to get those purchased songs on my new computer?

Copy them from your backup copy of your computer.
If you failed to backup for some reason, transfer them from an ipod: File>Transfer Purchases
If you are in the U,S use the newly released icloud.

  • How can a user transfer purchased apps, books, etc. from an iPad 2 to an iPad 3?

How can I transfer purchased items from an iPad 2 to an iPad 3?

Do you sync with iTunes at all? If you do - all of your purchased content should be in your iTunes library on your computer. When you get the new iPad and sync for the first time, iTunes will ask if you want to restore from the backup of the old iPad or set up as new. Restore from the newest backup and then sync with iTunes and the new iPad will have all of the content that the old one has on it.
You may want to sync the old iPad just before you sync the new one to make sure that the old iPad backs up. You can even do a manual backup by right clicking on the IPad name on the left side of iTunes and select - Backup.

  • How can i arrange deleted files by deletion date/time?

Ok, so i deleted a bunch of files (in an effort to get rid of some old left over files from unused apps).. Anyway, i deleted some files that need to get back.
I am not sure what their exact names or types are (they were in various folder and had different names) and i did not access them or modify them, but i do know the exact time and date i deleted them and i want to basically undo that action (i.e. i want to recover every file i deleted within a certain 5 minute time period).
I tried to find a way to arrange the files deleted by time of deletion and did not find out how -- can anyone tell me how this can be done please ??

    Hello,
Ever since I've upgraded from Snow Leopard to Maverick OS, whenever I rearrange the files as date created or date added, it organizes them into subfolders of today, yesterday, and past 7 days so on, and rearranged the files within the same date by name, which is very annoying. Is there a way to fix this?
When you have the finder window open in column view....
From the Finder Menu Bar, View > Show View Options >
    Arrange By: None
Sort by:Date Created (or Date Added)
Additionally, at the bottom, click, "Use as defaults"
Subquestion, not as important. Ever since the update I cannot go forward or backward on finder with three finger side swipe.
Not quite clear on this question, but I would double check System Preferences > Trackpad (or Mouse) as a preliminary step.

  • How can I get previously purchased songs to play once again on I Phone?

I have a good number of songs that show has having been purchased, but will no longer play in I Tunes on I Phone

    Try:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Unsync all music and resync
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:
    iOS: How to back up
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

  • How can I transfer my purchased songs onto a new itunes?!

    Hi,
So recently my laptop was wiped 'cos it had a load of issues and when it came back they'd put the songs back on itunes but all my playlists and settings had gone.
My phone is now reading the iTunes library as a new one, which is fine because I've got my playlists sorted and stuff so I was planning to just sync it again BUT I have a bunch of songs on my iPhone that I bought, that once I sync up to the 'new' library will disappear because they aren't on the library on my PC!!!
Is there any way I can move them over or save them or something? I really don't want them to go!

    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1848
Please note that this feature only works for items that were purchased on the iTunes Store. Any items imported from audio CDs or acquired from other sources will not copy from your device to the iTunes library.

  • I cannot purchase anything because I forgot the answers to my security questions. How can I continue to purchase songs with my account?

I tried buying a song off of iTunes and I have the right password, however it is asking for the answers to my security questions. I don't remember them and I was wondering if I was going to be able to continue and purchase the song

You need to contact Apple to get the questions reset. Click here, phone them, and ask for the Account Security team, or fill out and submit this form.

  • How can I arrange my magazines in the kiosk on my iPad?

On my iPad(2) I can place several apps in a folder.
I want to do the same with my magazines in the kiosk (I have a lot at this moment).
Or drag the magazines out of the kiosk next to the other apps (and then place in a special folder.

Chances are you don't. Or if you do it'll cost a ton. Check your plan see if it has international data roaming.
For many the most affordable option is to purchase a SIM card locally.

  • How can I arrange the Open window by Date Created?

You've already seen my question. The Open window does show Date Modified, but nothing I've tried will allow me to change it or to add Date Created as a column.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Ben

Right-Click on any column head and check off the columns you want included.
There are also many other arrangement options, just like in the Finder. The options discussed in this article also apply to Open and Save dialogs.

I have purchased songs from itunes on my ipad but now they are not there anymore. How can they get them back? Dont come up in songs not on this ipad and in itunes it asks to buy again

If you are now in the US then you can only use the US store, so you should update the address on your account
Changing country : Change the country of your iTunes Store, App Store, iBooks Store, and Mac App Store account.
Had you copied the songs over to your computer's iTunes library, do they show in the Music section on it ? You can copy purchases that you still have on your iPad over to your computer's iTunes library via the File > Devices > Transfer Purchases menu option

  • I am recently switched from a pc to laptop and in the move I can't find my "purchased" songs in my library any more. How do I get my purchased songs back into my lnew laptop Itunes library?

I recently switched from a pc to a laptop and am in process of moving my Itunes library to my laptop.I cant find my "purchased"songs .How do I recover my purchased songs and get them into my new laptop library? There is a record of my purchase in the Itunes store.

"Where do I find my hundreds of dollars of downloads I have done since 2005?"
They will only be where you put them  If you are doing the very basics, then they will be on your computer and they will be in your backup copy of your computer.
The itunes store is not global at all, never has been. You cannot redownload your content from another country.  You can only use the countrys itunes store for the country that you are physically located.
