In i tunes, how can I assemble or group existing "songs" to form an album?
You can make a playlist.
You can click on the song or highlight the group and click File>Get Info and give them all the same album name.

How can I select more than one song from the search results?
I want to create playlists based on certain words in the song title. For example, I may want to create a playlist of all my songs with LOVE in the title.
Doing the search is easy, but I can't select more than one song at a time. Is there any way in iTunes 12 for Windows to do this? I found an answer in iTunes for Mac, and it basically says to "un-check "Search Entire Library." " but I don't see that option in iTunes for Windows.

I hope some Windows user can help me out.Found the "Search Entire Library" option - click on the small (VERY small for my eyesight) down arrow next to the magnifying glass. Also need to select "Filter by: Songs", and then the songs in the main window show the results.
I'm going to leave this up on the board because 1) in case someone else has this question, and 2) I don't know how to delete it anyway. -
I have limited space on my new ipad. How can I limit the number of songs from my itunes on my imac from going to my ipad when I connect the two?
you can do this by keeping the external hard drive connected and doing the following
-hold shift key down on computer while opening iTunes and a prompt will appear to choose a library
-select choose library, iTunes should bring up your explorer windows where you can search for the external HD
-after you find the external HD find the iTunes folder you just copied to it
-after opening the iTunes folder look for the file that says iTunes library.itl or if you can't see that extenstion just look for a document looking thing in the iTunes folder that shows up as a database file
-double click the database file and boom iTunes should load your library without having to copy it to the computer
PS: do make sure that if you are going to do it this way, make sure that the external HD is connected at all times, because if you don't then you will get exclamation marks next to your iTunes songs
double PS: if you are unsure how to find out if the iTunes library file is a database file just right click it and choose properties and under the type it should say database file

but you could try one if these 2 things:
-under a new contact in name type the names of the people. Next, I'm not sure if this will work, but for phone just put a different hone down.

You must create the ringtones. google will find several free ways to do this.
It will then appear in the "Ringtones" section of your itunes "Library".
Then you select it to sync under the ringtones tab. -

Olga, this is not a default feature in iPhone. You need a 3rd party application. I have created a free one, Easy Group, for group texting and group emailing.

As long as they are in a continuous range, select the first, then hold SHIFT and click on the last. All in between will be selected. You can also use CTRL-click to add or remove individual songs from the selection. When you are ready you can delete the selection.
You might find iTunes Folder Watch useful if your missing files are scattered randomly through the library.

For blocks of items - click on first, shift click on last.
For selecting multiple items at random - click on first command click on others.
