How can I assign an icon to a folder using Powershell?

I'm trying to make a script that goes through a folder recursively, checks for every folder if it's name is "template", and if so it changes the icon of that folder to an icon
I chose.
I searched for an answer here, and I've only managed to find a way to assign an icon to a shortcut, but not to an existing file.

How can I seperate one string into multiple strings using PowerShell?

New to PowerShell...how can I read/separate parts of a file name? For instance if I have a file name like "part1_part2_part3_part4.xls", how to separate this file name to four different parts? So I basically want to go from that file name,
to four different strings like part1, part2, part3, and part4...as four separate strings. How can I get this done in PowerShell?

How can I hide "Taxonomy Catch All Column" without using PowerShell?

After having moved some files around, I find that my view and edit properties forms include the field "Taxonomy Catch All Column" and the field IDs which are just going to be confusing gobbledegook to my end users.
I can't seem to find a way to get rid of it. I can't delete it and I can't see where to hide it. Searches only seem to turn up PowerShell script solutions, and I can't use PowerShell.
It's SharePoint 2010 Server, I'm a site admin and I can use SharePoint Designer, but not powershell, no server access, no central admin access.
Can anyone help please?

For your issue, it seems to be related to use Content & Structure.
If you choose to move content that contains managed metadata columns (or presumably enterprise keywords), the Taxonomy Catch All column shows up after you use the "Content and structure" tool. It shows up as a column in the library and is visible
in "Edit Properties" on every document.
Why are you can’t use power shell? It is convenient to solve your problem with power shell.

How Can I Assign an Icon to a Stack Folder

A previous helpful answer explained to me how to drag a stack folder to the dock. The problem now is the icon. When I dragged the Applications folder from the finder to the dock, the icon changed from the distintive 'A' to a folder-type icon with an A poking out of the top.
Can anybody explain how to customize the icon or, better still, get the 'A' icon back?

I am trying to get the Icons in my report output using ALVs.
i am adding the following line
 line_fieldcat-icon = 'ICON_GREEN_LIGHT'. in my field catalog for getting the respective Icon in the list. but the Icon is not getting displayed?
May i know whether the above specified line is correct or not? if not, how can i get the Icons in my output using ALVs?

add code as per steps below in your ALV report :
FIRST :
INCLUDE ICONs.
Second : in your internal table add :
icon type icon-id,
Third :
add this value in icon field for green light.
itab-icon = '@08@'.
append itab.
Fourth : display
is_fieldcat-tabname = 'IT_FINAL'.
is_fieldcat-fieldname = 'ICON'.
is_fieldcat-col_pos = '1'.
is_fieldcat-outputlen = '12'.
is_fieldcat-seltext_l = 'ICON'.
APPEND is_fieldcat TO it_fieldcat.
CLEAR is_fieldcat.

I am trying to create library class which will be accessed and used by different applications (with different image files to be assigned). So, what image file to call should be determined by and in the Main class.

Your problem is one of timing. Consider this simple example.

How can I assign a period (instead of B) in Keynote for blank screen so I can use a Logitech R800 presenter? An option in next version?

I have recently bought a Logitech R800 presenter which works very well with Keynote on a MacBook Pro. The start/stop presentation key does not work but that can be easily fixed by assigning F5 to "Start presentation" for Keynote in the keyboard system preferences. The remaining issue is that the blank screen button sends a period (".") which works as a prompt for a blank screen in PowerPoint, but in Keynote it causes the slideshow to end. Keynote uses the letter "B" for blank screen.
How can I assign a period (instead of B) in Keynote for blank screen? Some sort of work around would be very useful as I often use blank screen in my presentations and much prefer Keynote to PowerPoint.
Perhaps it will be an option in next version of Keynote?

As far as I know you can not change these keystrokes without changing the Program files. I am sure it is possible there, but I have no idea where to even start to tell you where to find it.
Your best bet it to go to the Keynote Menu>Provide Keynote Feedback and let Apple know you would like the option to change them.
