How can I automatically add exif data to a watermark?

As the subject suggests, I’m looking for a way to watermark photo and automagically include image attributes like aperture, shutter speed, etc., in addition to my nameplate.
Does such a plug-in or add-on exists?

Can you automatically embed Exif data in DNG files LR4

For years I have been using Bridge and ACR for my raw workflow. I use only DNG files and have the database turned off so the EXIF data is embedded right into the original DNG file. This means my files are 100% portable without and sidecar.
Can I work with lightroom 4 without having a database? OR can I assure that each DNG file has all it's setting automatically embedded as it does in Bridge?

In the catalog settings, metadata tab, there is an option to automatically write to XMP. That should do what you want. Since there is no sidecar file with the DNG file exif data will be written to the file.

How can I edit my EXIF Date info without changing Time info?

I recently went on a shoot with three cameras, one of which was set at the wrong date (sometime in 2012). I now want to correct all the date stamps on the photos taken by the camera with the bad date settings but am finding this next to impossible to do quickly - I have 416 incorrectly dated photos.
In iPhoto '06 you could go to Photos - Batch Change and a dialogue would pop up with separate Date and Time boxes; I am using iPhoto '08 which has merged these two fields into one, meaning I now lose the correct Time of Day EXIF metadata for each photo I try to change the incorrect Date EXIF metadata on.
I have googled for a separate app to do this, but none do this - they all seem to change everything in one go.
How can I fix my problem and change only the Date info while keeping the existing Time info in a Batch process?

Like I say it's a while since I used 08, but I can certainly roll back 365 or even 400 days on iPhoto 11, without changing the time using the adjust date and time command.
Aperture uses exactly the same mechanism.
It's even longer since I used iPhoto 6.

This shows exactly the same process as iPhoto 09, 11 and Aperture, and exactly what I can use to time shift a group of photographs.
I don't think that the 08 apps were "dumbed down" at all. If I recall correctly, iPhoto gained lossless editing at that point - a very significant enhancement, and no, I don't think there was any effort to push people to change to more expensive products. IIRC every version of iPhoto since then has been less expensive. Apple did do a major rewrite of iMovie at the point, but left iMovie6 available for free as a download for two years. iMovie 11, though a very different interface, has long since overtaken iMovie 6 in capability.

It is no possible.
An alternative is to create a Page file with password in Pages for Mac, and save it to iCloud, then open it on the iPad using the password in iCloud.

How can I automatically add 1 en-space after 2,000 bold lead-ins?

I have a long list (2000-3000 paragraphs) and each paragraph begins with a bold word. I want to change the normal space character following the bold lead-in to an en-space or maybe some other character without affecting all the other spaces in the document. Is there a way to do this automatically? I don't know how to do scripting or use scripts. Sometimes I've figured out ways to set up Find / Replace to do what I need, maybe with a few different steps, but I haven't been able to figure out a way to accomplish this. I run into similar problems frequently and would love to find ways to do this automatically.

^ is start of Paragraph. () defines a match subgroup, and \w+ means one or more "word characters" so ^(\w+) means find a word at the start of the paragraph. \s is any white space, including returns, so we're finding the first word and any whitespace that follows it.
The change is $1 which stnads for the found text in the first set or parentheses and ~> which is an en space, so we're replacing the first word and space with the first word and an en space.
You can google for a script called WhatTheGREP by jongware, too, that will translate any GREP string for you.

First, I still don't understand why anyone would want to search by file name if search by keyword was available.
Putting the file name into a keyword essentially defeats the purpose of keywords. If you have 1000 files in your Lightroom Library Module, then you have 1000 distinct keywords, and I can't see how that is useful to anyone.
But the bottom line is that I don't think Lightroom has the capability of putting file name into the keyword field.

The Finder reports File information. The date and time of the photo are in the Photo's Exif metadata. The Finder has no awareness of this. All photos apps on any system do.

Apple never included the auto-update feature for dates in Pages v5.2.2. You would have to single-click the date, and deliberately update it.
If you have Pages ’09 v4.3 in /Applications/iWork '09, then it will allow you to configure auto-update of the date field. Right-click on the date, set the format, and click the selection for automatically update on open.

It was easy to do prior to mavericks using system preferences (language and text), but now I can only submit a 2 letter word to replace, not a 1 letter word. I have tried using a space but it doesn't allow that. I would assume that most people would love to be able to type quickly without having to make uppercase I all the time (first world problem i know), so I can't understand why apple have removed this feature.

There is the shift key, or text replacement approach, providing you have enabled two things:
Edit > Substitution > √ Text Replacement
System Preferences > Keyboard > TextClick + to add a replacement

Now, when you type ii, you will see a pop-up offering I.

Oh dear god.
Parse the date using SimpleDateFormat. You can then use Calendar's setTime to set a Calendar instance to your date, and use add(Calendar.DAY_OF_MONTH, -1) to substract a day. getTime() will then provide a new Date. And yes, look it up in the API docs.

The add-on extension "NewTabURL" (by "sogame") provided the option I want and used for a number of years. But it stopped working when Firefox was updated to version 16.0. When I click for a new tab, all I get is a completely blank tab. How can I automatically have the new tab always be a copy of the current active tab?

My trackball has 4 buttons and a scroll wheel. Each of the 4 buttons is programmable. The 4 buttons are normally pre-programmed for single-click, double-click, drag and right-click by simply pressing on them
Each of the 4 buttons may be programmed to also have other functions. For example, I programmed "control/single-click" to produce a middle click. I could also have used "shift/single-click" or "alt/single-click" to produce the middle-click. Or I could have similarly programmed double-click or drag or right-click. The Kensington Expert Mouse is quite versatile ... once you get the hang of programming it.
I have had it for about 4 years and I had never had the need to program one of them until you told me about using a middle-click.
