How can I automatically have my iWeb photo albums updated?

I have several iPhoto albums that I've published on my iWeb site. However, I can't seem to figure out if it is possible to have the albums on the iWeb site be automatically updated when I add or delete photos from the corresponding iPhoto album?
Is this possible to do?

Going along with what Alancito suggested you can then embed an iPhoto MMe gallery into a Web page as shown in this demo page:MobileMe Galleries and Quicktime Movies. I've linked to the mosaic mode of the gallery but you can use any of the modes you'd like.
Then any changes in iPhoto to the gallery will be reflected automatically in your iWeb page. This method also lets you isolate the gallery from the your other MMe galleries if you'd like.

In iWeb albums there seems to be a maximum of 500 photos or 5 pages. Can you add more than 500 photos to the same album? How?

are you using an application server or the local OC4J container?
In both cases the height and width of your applet can be set in the formsweb.cfg file.
you can find this file under <oracle_home>/forms/server directory
search in the file for with and height
you can put a fixed size in pixels or in percentage of your screen resolution

How can I automatically have a new tab always be a copy of the current active tab?

The add-on extension "NewTabURL" (by "sogame") provided the option I want and used for a number of years. But it stopped working when Firefox was updated to version 16.0. When I click for a new tab, all I get is a completely blank tab. How can I automatically have the new tab always be a copy of the current active tab?
Can the extension "NewTabURL" be revised to work in version 16 and/or version 17? If not, how else can I get the new tab functionality that I desire? I can't seem to find any other extension that provides that functionality.

My trackball has 4 buttons and a scroll wheel. Each of the 4 buttons is programmable. The 4 buttons are normally pre-programmed for single-click, double-click, drag and right-click by simply pressing on them
Each of the 4 buttons may be programmed to also have other functions. For example, I programmed "control/single-click" to produce a middle click. I could also have used "shift/single-click" or "alt/single-click" to produce the middle-click. Or I could have similarly programmed double-click or drag or right-click. The Kensington Expert Mouse is quite versatile ... once you get the hang of programming it.
I have had it for about 4 years and I had never had the need to program one of them until you told me about using a middle-click.

I know i can backup to the cloud over wifi but how can i do things like delete photo albums instead of having to manually delete pictures one by one on the Ipad. Is there any way also to add my pictures to the ipad other than through email. i am assuming that i can't just install itunes on the laptop and sync to that. I have been told that i always have to sync to my original synced home computer for that.

Yes and it's very easy to do once you know what to do.
Place all of the photo albums that you want to transfer to the iPad into one main photos album on your PC. When your iPad is connected to your computer's iTunes and after you have selected the iPad under Devices, click on the Photos tab and in the Sync Photos from heading - select that main photos album that you place all of your other photos folders into - select each album that you want to sync - and then click on Apply in the lower right corner to sync the photos to the iPad.

My son posted an album on Facebook; he took the pictures with a regular camera. I shared the album and it immediately showed up on my All-in-One computer and on my Droid phone on my Facebook timeline. It has never appeared on the iPad, so all my friends with iPads are not seeing this photo album. Do yoiu have any idea why?

I have discovered the same problem. The timeline or group that the album is loaded directly to one can see the album and photos. However my habit has been to us my group as archive and then share the album with other groups saving me uploading several times. If I look at on my desktop I and others like you see the shared album and friends with droid FB apo also see but ones with iOS FB app do not see the shared album be it on a friend/family member timeline another group. I do not think this used to be, if almost seems that recent updates of the applicaion for iOS led to this problem but I am not certain. This is a big issue as I do not have time to upload and describe the same photos on the two to three other groups I share with. I share your frustration, and there seem to be other things I do not see maybe it is all the shared photos/albums vs ones put on a timeline or group. Not acceptable...

i have thousand photos prefer to combine them in a group of 3 photos into one combined photo in an automated process...
3 photos should line up accordingly one after one ... crop the combined photo to the max size possible ... set the image size of combined photo to 2000 by 1300 pixels ... save the combined photo...
start with the next 3 photos in the folder...
is this possible to automate with photoshop cc?...

When typing in a number, how can I automatically have it insert a / (slash)?

I've been trying to figure out how to automatcially insert a forward slash (/) after I have entered a 6-digit number. I'd like to have the slash inserted after the 3 number from the left? For example; if after entering 123456 the expected outcome would be 123/456. Any help would be great appreciated. I'd like to give away some points if anyone has the correct answer!!!

Thanks for the quick reply. Basically, what I need is to be able to enter a fixed 6-digit number between 0-9 and then a slash would automatically be inserted. It would only be numerical and no letters or special characters. To quickly fill you in on what I"m trying to attain, I have created a form with text fields and on one of the fields there is one called, "work location". Here the room and cubicle location would be entered. Each other these locations is designated a 3-digit. For example: 123 would be the room number and the 456 would be the 3-digit cubicle location. So, instead of enter the first three numbers than manually entering the rest of the numbers, I'd like to see if it's possible to just enter the 6 numbers instead than the forward slash would be inserted in its proper place. I hope I didn't confuse you. Once again any advice (or maybe a sample script) would be incredibly helpful,

If you set up a digital signature field, you can attach a script (e.g., doc.submitForm, doc.mailDoc) to the "Signed" event.

I think turning the RAID on and off periodically is a bad idea. But if you really really really want to do this ....
Connect the xserve raid to a 'metered power strip such as those provide by APC. you can telnet to the power strip via the network to power off individual port)
write a script (run on the xserve or powermac that the RAID is connected to (direct or via switch)
0) quit application (issue a quit command or if the application have a stop command (example databse can be stopped)
1) unmount volume (must)
2) issue a telnet command via expect script to control the power strip to power off the array.
If you have java cli access to the array (see alienraid.org).(I have not tried this before.)

If you prefer something more automated then there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod, this is just a selection. The transfer of purchased content to authorised computers has been introduced with iTunes 7, look under under File>"Transfer Purchases from iPod". A paragraph on it has been added to this article: How to use your iPod to move your music to a new computer
If your iPod is set to update automatically take care when connecting back to your computer and an empty iTunes. You will get a message that your iPod is linked to a different library and asking if you want to link to this one and replace all your songs etc, press "Cancel". Pressing "Erase and Sync" will irretrievably remove all songs from your iPod. Your iPod should appear in the iTunes source list from where you can change the update setting to manual and use your iPod without the risk of accidentally erasing it. Check the "manually manage music and videos" box in Summary then press the Apply button. Don't uncheck Sync Music it will be unchecked by default when you choose the manual setting: Managing content manually on iPod
Whichever of these retrieval methods you choose, keep your iPod in manual mode until you have reloaded your iTunes and you are happy with your playlists etc then it will be safe to return it auto-sync again. I would also advise that you get yourself an external hard drive and back your stuff up in case you have problems again. External drives are comparatively inexpensive these days and you can get loads of storage for a reasonable outlay.

With iPhoto every new photo was automatically imported and saved on my local disk (with "full resolution" that's what I only need). In the new photo app I have still my photo stream and when I move a photo (drag and drop from the photo stream) to a new album it indicates a (plus). My understanding is that the photo is now copied to my local disk. But when I deleted the photo in the photo stream it was also deleted in the album !?
If that is the case I can use the photo stream only until I reach the max of 1.000 photos, then I have to delete photos and I will have no copy left.
How can I "physically" copy a photo of the photo stream to my local disk? I just want to "transfer" all pictures taken with Ipads, Iphones to my central storage on the Mac. Please don't propose to connect it via iTunes (cable) to the Mac.
Any other suggestions?

The amazing device cannot do it because no amazing developer has written an app for it. There is some interest, others have asked, but i have a hunch that the market is fairly limited, and no developer has jumped at the chance just yet.
Any sort of tethered approach means try to feed the material to the pad thru the cck. Which means the app would have to use the allowed/existing cck pathway in a manner that does not violate the sandbox rules. That may be the problem.

You can use the Settings in the slideshow to Show Captions, either the Description filed be display, the Title field or both.
If you create the slideshow in iDVD from still photos from iPhoto you can add the Description and/or Title via the settings in iDVD.
Since iDVD adds both automatically the user must go thru the slideshow and remove those items not wanted.
