I am working as a Recruitment Consultant for a recruitment consultancy firm in Dubai. I have two years of experience in HR, I have a Bachelor Degree in Chemistry and currently pursuing MBA in HR. There is a big demand for SAP HR Consultants in the region. Please advise how can I build a career as a SAP HR Consultant. With my academic qualification and experience do I fit into the role of SAP HR Consultant?

Before taking training I would suggest you, go through the SAP library of BI and get an understanding of BI. When you have an rough idea, then go for training and it will be really useful. You will be able to ask lot of questions as you know already little bit otherwise you won't get time to go through the materials during training as it's so fast. Check the links:

How can I connect with SAP NetWeaver 7.01 SR1 SP3 ABAP Developer Edition

Hello together,
I downloaded and installed the SAP NetWeaver 7.01 SR1 SP3 ABAP Developer Edition on a virtual client.
I toke a long period to finish the installation.
Now some questions to use this system in the right way:
1.) How can I get a "developer license" which do not expire? Because the link http://www.sap.com/minisap seems to be not ok.
2.) How can I connect via network with the sap system? the application server is running on a vm client with a static ip i.e. 192.168.1.5. And my laptop gets a ip in the same range. I have installed the gui on my laptop and tried to connect with the system. But it does not work! I used as application server the ip of the virtual machine. I use the gui witch is installed on the same host like the application it works (with localhost as application server adress)
3.) Where can I download the newest version of the SAP Gui? I do not have a service marktplace account? Is it possible?
4.) I read in the documentation that it should be possible to reach the sap system also with web dynpro: http://localhost:8000/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/webgui?sap-client=000
But it does not work. I got an error message: Service cannot be reached
Note
The termination occurred in system NSP with error code 403 and for the reason Forbidden.
The selected virtual host was 0 .

I fixed in the meantime the second problem. It was a problem with my local firewall. But the other three points are still open.

i need a programme log on a SAP system and then execute a function from my windows desktop. however i need this function to be executed in front end because there are someting need to be poped up.
i am using Jco but it seems it only support executing a RFM in background mode?

thanks for your reply.
the situation is like that. my function is to call catt/ecatt which need sapgui popup sometimes..
i test the fuction inside R3 system which works fine however when i use JCO to call it from desktop error shows..
log infomation is useful however in this situation popup sapgui is very important.
the idea way is JCO call SAPGUI in destop and execute my fuction automatically:)

How can generated EWA for SAP Portal system

Hi Guru there,
Usually generate EWA should maintenan RFC, We have SAP Portal systems ( prod PP1 and test PT1 and dev PD1), but they are not appeared at saplogon and no general SAP interface, only operationing system level we can start/stop SAP system and database and from the operating system browser can see the portal work normal ( 50000 port) or not.
How can I generate EWA from solman?

How can I export the data that consultant have configured?

I have installed the same systems at two server machine. The consultant have configured something in one server and the developers have developed some projects at the same server, after that, I want to export the data that the consultants configured without the developed projects and import it to another server. How?

Certain objects can be put into an application designer project, and then exported to file or migrated to another environment. Examples include process scheduler server definitions, integration broken setup, security, and trees. Basically anything you can add through application designer using the Insert > Definitions into Project list. This is the better way but doesn't work for everything.
Do you know specifically what was configured and what you need to export? There's a DMS script that lives under PS_HOME/script called mvprdexp.dms that lists the core PeopleTools tables, which might be useful if you do have write your own DMS.

How can i exceed the sap screen in ALV report.

i need solution from you regarding to increase the SAP screen in ALV customised report.
now what we are getting the problem is:
we developed the report, in that lot of fields are there.
because of that the fields are going in second line.
but actually the max length is showing in SAP is :X_65_255.
Please give me the solution to increase the screen.

The standard screen which is displayed once u execute it not possible to change, but can follow one guide line.. by reducing the feild discrption( columns) on the report .
Eg : sold to part can be changed to SP or someother conversion which user understands. ( Before this user confirmation should be taken for this change)

How can we reset the SAP cache for users roaming profile in a d?

Our active directory is on windows server 2003.
SAP version 6.40
users work from different workstations in our company with their roaming profile.
printouts are defined by assigning a printer to the terminal (usually the closest terminal to theprinter)
we have some users who have logined to windows, are unable to print to the assigned printer, because the name of the terminal is stuck on another terminal they worked on before.
we think that the the cache in SAP does not update properly.
Where is the SAP cache, is it in the server, or the workstation, or the user profile?
Can anyone help?

all configurations of the printers are correct.
I will try and explain the problem differently:
In general If a user logs on to SAP, we will see in tc al08 the username and terminal the user is working from. (The terminal is the full computer name e.g. WS-KITCHEN).
When a user with the problem logs on to SAP, we will see in tc al08 the username and the name of a terminal he worked from in the past and not the work station he is at present. Therefore his printouts go to the printer that is allocated to the terminal that he worked on before and not the WS-KITCHEN he is working on now.

Thanks Ludek, I use this a sub to create a report document and report viewer in sap bussines one form.
Running this code shows the sap business one form with the report viewer but then closes SAP Business One Application.

How can we integrate SAP R/3 4.6C with SAP EP?

we are implementing PM (Plant Management) module of SAP R/3 4.6C and we have the necessity to create web services for some PM functionalities. Infact we need to integrate our SAP R/3 4.6C with other applications (non-SAP) through TIBCO (it's mandatory). So we think to use SAP XI. Moreover our users don't want to use SAP GUI for the accessing to the PM functionalities but they want an UI more friendly. So we think to use SAP EP. How can we integrate the SAP R/3 4.6C functionalities into the SAP EP?

Upgrading to ECC 66.0 wouldn't effect your Developments (since everything will be custom, and upgrades will not effect the custom applications) and Customizing (there will be enhancements based on which you do customizations and even that will not be effected with upgrade) unless you change the standard using Dev Key.
