How can i block my iopd from downloading any internet browser from the app store
I would like to make my ipod touch unable to download any kind of internet browser from the app store, while still keeping internet access avalable for apps
There is no way to select just a genre of apps like that. You can use restriction settings to disable the ability to install apps, and you can disable Safari - that way no active web browser and no ability to download and install any apps. Apps already installed that use data access will still run just fine.

I meant to pose this as a question.
It's OK that you didn't pose it as a question because the answer is very plain and simple. You can't go back to where you were in the App Store. That's just the way it works unfortunately. you can be twenty screens in to your current browsing experience, and more often than not, you will go all the way to the beginning once you quit looking at the one app that were investigating.

I can log in on my apple account via internet but not the App Store or iTunes Store?
I cannot log into either the App Store or iTunes Store, however I can log into the apple website and get on my account there. I've tried to change password several times but nothing. HELP!!

Safari works just fine - proof of internet connection
Mail works just fine.
I go to "Settings" > iTunes & App Store try to login and all I get is a spinning wheel in the upper left corner of the screen.

How can I see a flat list of everything I purchased on the app store, ever?
I am trying to remember an app I bought and deleted ages ago. I tried connecting my iPhone to iTunes and looked under apps, where you can see your history but I must have cleaned that up at some point. Under the store, purchase history, there is a tool to review purchases there. It's possibly the worst thing apple has ever done. I cannot export that data as a list or scroll through the whole thing.
The problem is that I am sure I would remember it when I saw it, but I can't until I see it.
Basically, a chicken and the egg problem.If you purchased this under a different apple ID then it wouldn't be listed under your current Apple ID... if you have only ever had 1 apple ID then it would be there but if you;'ve purchased quite a bit then it would be hard to find!
How is that the worst thing Apple has ever done? It's your purchase history! You can go on the computer and itunes and log in with your apple ID and view them there! You can't expect Apple to do everything for you! LOL -

What I need to know is "how" I can separate or rather create another Apple ID for my son-who is currently using "my Apple ID?" If there is a way to let him keep "all" his info on his phone (eg-contacts, music, app's, etc.) without doing a "reset?') Somehow I need to go into his phone's setting-create a new Apple ID and possibly a new password so he can still use our combined iCloud & Itunes account?
Also then letting me take back my Apple ID & password, but again allowing us (my son and I) to use the same iCloud & Itunes account? Does that make more sense??? Buy all three from the M.A.S. and it is all yours, cheaper and installable on all Macs that share the same Apple I.D.. However I have heard, but can't confirm, that that doesn't quite have everything the DVD version had.

Thanks for ur answers !You are correct. There is no other way to recover this material, and yes it would have been a good idea to backup the iPhone prior to the restore. Remember that a restore to a previous date deletes everything on the device and puts it back to the state of things on the date you choose. The texts and contacts would be gone. Did you possibly sync the contacts with a supported application on the computer? That is the only other way to recover contacts. They are designed to be synced with a supported application on the computer, or with a cloud service such as iCloud, Google or Yahoo.

I cannot down load Yosemite from the App Store. It keeps saying there is an error. I have Mavericks installed now. Can I download Yosemite anywhere else besides the App Store?
Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
Select
/var/log ▹ appstore.log
from the hierarchical list on the left. If you don't see that list, select
View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar.
Each message in the log begins with the date and time when it was entered. Select the messages from the last installation or update attempt, starting from the time when you initiated it. If you're not sure when that was, click the Clear Display button in the toolbar of the Console window and then try the installation again.
Copy the messages to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Paste into a reply to this message (command-V).
If there are runs of repeated messages, post only one example of each. Don’t post many repetitions of the same message.
☞ The log contains a vast amount of information, almost all of it useless for solving any particular problem. When posting a log extract, be selective. A few dozen lines are almost always more than enough.
Please don't indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.
Please don't post screenshots of log messages—post the text.

If the book is not in the Apple store, you will have to get it from another one, such as Amazon, Nook, Kobo, Google, Sony. Each of them has apps to read the books you get from them. -

I have a mac pro 1.1. the main hard drive failed. How do I reload OS X 10.7 back in my computer. the app store will not let me reinstall this os. My computer is not compatible OS x 10.8?
You need to first install the OS your Mac came on the bundled gray disks. Assuming it's Snow Leopard, you could then login into the App Store using your same Apple ID and password to download and install Lion.
If your Mac is a bit older and came with Leopard, 10.5.x, you can bypass that and install Snow Leopard from your retail disk. The only software you'd need to install separately from the gray disks would be the optional software, such as the iLife suite and other titles not included on the retail SL disk. -
Is there a way to get a version of the Garage Band app that runs on version 5.1.1? I have an iPad 1 and can't get any higher iOS. The App store is telling me that Garage Band only runs on iOS 7.
