How can I cancel a runing program by software?

Hi,
i have to stop a LabView-DAQ-program from running on a w2k PC by software.
I'm looking for a program, which can stop the DAQ-program from execution
if the UPS signals a system shutdown (power failure).
The UPS software can execute any program or .cmd-file before it shuts
off system power.
Any ideas?

Hi,
this sounds like a simple question but
I can no close a running labview program.
I open the vi file, and Labview starts immediately
the running program of my labview development.
Unfortunately the window is not resizeable and my cancel
button is not shown (it is in a different part of
the window to where I can not move).
So how can I stop it?

If Dan's suggestions for stopping it don't work, you might try other
ways of opening it so that it doesn't start running. The VI is set to
run when opened, but if you use the palette's VI... button to drop the
subVI on a scratch VI, then double click it, it will not run. Another
trick is to open and set a breakpoint on a subVI of the VI.

How can I cancel "Ad-ons" program.

I was trying to search for a company, and when I clicked on the company website, I received a message that I had to download "Add-Ons" program in order to go any further. I clicked on it because I was unable to get to the website I needed without clicking on the add-ons. I do not want the ad ons program. How can I opt out of that particular program. I want the original Firefox search engine that I had been using.

How can i cancel a strange mail that arrived to me? It is empty without object. The mail program doesn't permit mebto cancel and to move it.

Just in case the email is bona fide but there has been a malfunction it is worth doing a Reset first. [Hold the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons down together for 10 seconds or so (until the Apple logo appears) and then release. The screen will go blank and then power ON again in the normal way.] It is app and data safe!
If there is no change then just try to delete it. The reset should enable this to be done.

If you have problems with updating then easiest is to download the full version and uninstall the currently installed version and remove the Firefox program folder to do a clean install of the new version.
* Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.
* Firefox 4.0.x: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all.html
* Firefox 3.6.x: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html
* Uninstall your current Firefox version and remove the Firefox program folder before installing that copy of the Firefox installer.
* Do not remove personal data if you uninstall the current version.
* It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
Your bookmarks and other profile data are stored elsewhere in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Firefox Profile Folder] and won't be affected by a reinstall, but make sure that you do not select to remove personal data if you uninstall Firefox.

Ok, finally I figure it out!!
You need to give computer access to the password of Yahoo.com
You go to the application "Key Chain" that is included in your MacBook Pro.
Then you go to the first tab that should say something with "Login/Session" and you should see all your saved passwords.
Scroll down to the saved password of "Yahoo: your-username @ ...
Click on it, you should see a window opening
Go to the tab "Access Control"
Then click on "Allow all applications to connect .. ", NOT the option "Ask every time for allowance" or you can also just add the program "MAIL" with the "+" icon !!
There you go, now you should not have to worry again !!!!!!

You need to transfer your domain.sites file from your MacBook to your iMac. This is the file where iWeb stores all info and can be found under User/Library/Application Support/iWeb/domain.sites.
Transfer this file from your MacBook to the same place on your iMac and double click the domain.sites file and iWeb will open it on your iMac and you can update your site from there too.

You can de-authorize individual computers, but only by using those computers. The only other option is to "de-authorize all" from your iTunes account.
1. Open iTunes on a computer
2. From the Store menu, select "View my Account..."
3. Sign in with your Apple ID and password.
4. Under "Computer Authorizations" select "De-authorize All".
5. Authorize each computer you still have, as you may require.
You may only do this once per year.
After you "de-authorize all" your authorized computers, re-authorize each one as required.
If you have de-authorized all computers and need to do it again, but your year has not elapsed, then contact: Apple - Support - iTunes - Contact Us.

Click "Account" under Quick Links at the top right of the iTunes store. Next to payment information click "Edit" and then select "None" under payment method.
