I tried powering down and re-starting the iPhone (as suggested at http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1275). This seems to have cleared the "...not connected to the Internet" problem, and iOS 6.1 is now in the process of downloading.

There's no FAST way I know of, which is what I think you mean.
Only the painful SLOW way of one-by-one.
You could make a new playlist from the main library after you've set the columns up as you like.
Go to an existing playlist that doesn't have the columns you want, and select all.
RIght-click > Add to Playlist and send them to the new playlist.
That's still one-by-one and only works with static playlists, not smart ones.

I want to scale a signal, and I am using the vi express "Scaling and Mapping". But!!!!I want to control the differents "options" that I can choose, linear scale, slope...How can I do it? I don´t know if it is possible in a vi Express. I know that I can change the properties of controls and indicators using properties nodes, but I thing that it doesn´t work in this case, but I am not sure!!!!

First thing to do is to convert the express VI to a standard subVI by right clicking on it and selecting Open Front Panel. Then, select which front panel controls that you want and add them to the connector pane.

How can i change sort options for a playlist in ios8? I would like to sort by album, or album artist like I can in iTunes for OSX.

So here's an example of why I would like to figure this out. I have a playlist on my iPhone that contains only new music. I would like to be able to sort this playlist by artist, so that when i click on the playlist, I can quickly find the album I have added to the playlist and play it. Currently, I can only see a long list of tracks. How do you sort playlists?

I just found the solution to this myself.
In a very un-Apple way, this is an undocumented feature only accessible by right- (or control-) clicking.
1. Change one track to your desired sort settings (for instance, set the Sort Artist to Yankovic, Weird Al.
2. Right-click on that track. In the contextual menu that appears, there is a new submenu called "Apply Sort Field." If you choose "Same Artist," it will apply your new sorting information to all your other tracks by "Weird Al" Yankovic (or, if you are not a huge nerd, any other artist you substitute).

How can I change boot resolution?

hi guys, i plugged in my macbook pro retina into a projecter and put it on a low-res for the 'external display' in system prefs. now every time i boot up, the white screen with the apple logo comes up in that same low, 4:3 ratio resolution i set when i connected the external display/projector, even when not connected to a display/projector. After the boot screen finishes, the screen flickers to blue and then back to my user login screen in full resolution (normal).

Can you guys please confirm that the same flickering happens if/when you set your resolution to hi-res instead of recommended for retina?

I don't seem to be able to activate the Never Remember History in Privacy. It is set to Use Custom Settings, I change it to Never Remember History but whenever I open up options, it has reverted to Never remember history. How can I change it? Thank you

At the moment my privacy settings are Use Custom Settings in Private Browsing mode with no third party cookies. Recently however when I log out of hotmail the msn homepage comes up. So I decided to change to never remember history settings. However, whenever I change it, it always reverts back to Use Custom Settings. Why and how can I change it?

Firefox shows the "Use custom settings for history" setting as an indication that at least one of the history and cookie settings is not the default to make you aware that changes were made.
If all History settings are default then the custom settings are hidden and you see "Firefox will: (Never) Remember History".
You enter Private Browsing mode if you select:
* Tools > Options > Privacy > History: Firefox will: "Never Remember History"
*Tools > Options > Privacy > Firefox will: "Use custom settings for history" > [X] "Always use private browsing mode"

How can I change the letter assignments designated to the options that appear in the right-click drop-down menu?
I frequently save specific items and inspect elements in webpages, however currently the key assignment for 'View Page Info' is the letter ' i ', which inconveniently is located out of the reach of my left hand.
Rather than forcing ambidextrous mouse usage to allow my right-hand to rest on the keyboard, if I could be pointed in the right direction for customizing these assignments I would greatly appreciate it. I have been able to disable some of the menu items I don't use with firebug but didn't see/didn't know how to go about customizing this option in about:config or deeper in the program files.
Thanks ahead of time, I'm sure this will be a quick and hopefully easy file/preference name assignment I just need to add, I just couldn't find any forums that had already addressed the request.

While that add-on is pretty useful and handy for customizing the keyboard shortcuts for items housed in the Menu Bar, it does not provide the resource to change the key combinations assigned to items in the context-click menu

You may want to keep Reader. You may want to select Acrobat as your default, but be able to click on a PDF (or PDF link) to open in Reader when needed. There are likely some PDFs that will not open correctly in AA 7 because of new features folks add. Just because it opens in Reader XI does not mean it is in the new format, but just that is the default opening you have. To tell the type of file, you have to open the PDF and check the properties (ctrl-D) and check Description>PDF version.

OK, I think what you are curious about is this:
Open a Finder window and put the window into List view. Now go to View->Show View Options, and you get a little window with various choices, including this list of the kinds of columns you can have in the original window:
I had never paid much attention to the list, but AFAIK the "Last Opened" option is ONLY available when you have a Search window open:
And lots of the other options are then unavailable.

Go to System Preferences / Accounts - Login Items.
In order to make changes, click the lock icon bottom left corner of the pane. You may be prompted for your admin password.

There isn't a feature in Adobe Send for setting and end-date for a file's availability. At any time, you can Unshare the file, however.

If you are using Touch ID "Immedeatly" is the only option for requiring a passcode.
