You can't. In some cases, a specific app may includes it own keyboard, but for general purposes the four row keyboard is all that is available. Access the additional keys using the buttons at the very bottom (far left and to the right of the space key. Other characters are available by tapping holding a specific key.

All app purchases are permanently tied to their Apple ID. You will have to delete and repurchase the apps with a new ID. I would recommend wiping that iPad and setting it up with another ID.

Welcome to the Apple community.
This feature has been introduced to make stolen phones useless to those that have stolen them.
However it can also arise when the user has changed their Apple ID details with Apple and not made the same changes to their iCloud account/Find My Phone on their device before upgrading to iOS 7, or if you restore from a previous back up made before you changed your details.
The only solution is to change your Apple ID back to its previous state with Apple at My Apple ID, verify the changes, enter the password as requested on your device and then turn off "find my phone".
You should then change your Apple ID back to its current state, verify it once again, delete the iCloud account from your device and then log back in using your current Apple ID. Finally, turn "find my phone" back on once again.

To change the ID for:
iMessage, go to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive, tap the ID sign out, sign back in using the other ID.
FaceTime, do the same thing in Settings>FaceTime.
iTunes, do this in Settings>iTunes & App Store.
iCloud, start by saving your photo stream photos to your camera roll by opening your My Photo Stream album, tap Select, tap all the photos you want to save, tap the share icon (box with upward pointing arrow), then tap Save to Camera Roll. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and provide the password when prompted, then sign back in with the ID you want to use. This will delete the account and iCloud data from your phone but not from iCloud. Provided you are signing back into the same account and not changing to a new account, your data will be synced back to your phone when you sign back in. However, if you are setting up a new account with a new ID, when you delete the account be sure to choose Keep on My iPad, then choose Merge when you sign into the new account to upload your data.

I posted this notice so that I could pass on this fantastic solution. I was almost driven crazy until I stumbled upon the answer. VarReal was the one who gave me the correct answer. I didn't have to erase thing. Here's how it's done for an iPad:
1. Go to Settings
2. Find the iTunes & App Store Icon and click on the icon
3. You should see your apple ID...click on the ID and a window will come up
4.The window should have a list......one option is to sign out...do so.
4. Now you have to sign in so that you can access your App or iTunes...fill in the new apple Id and password and sign in.
5. Yippie, you're done!!

I think this may be what you want. Open iTunes go to Store in the menu bar. At the bottom choose *View MY Account*. This will let you sign into your account and you can then pick *Edit Account Info* Make you change and save it. That should take care of it.

One of the ways this can happen is if the cells you are trying to format are the result of a formula or coming from elswhere in the table. For instance, if I have the formula SUM that is totaling a column formated "currency" I will not be able to change its format to "text".
What do you want to do? there may be another way to accomplish it.

After the update to itunes 10.5.1.42 all my lists on my ipad appear as icons instead of lists.
Specifically, I want to change my library back to a list, as well as my playlists. It's too tedious to scroll through pages and pages of icons to find the playlist I'm looking for when it's so much easier to find in the old alphabetized list format.
The ituens display on my computer is lists, same as before, but on the ipad they're now icons.
If there are preferences settings for this, I'm missing it...
