i accidentally put in the wrong email account that does not exist and i already activated my itune card
how do i change the apple id when it said to verify it first FROM the non-existing account? does that mean you cant change it AT ALL or is there a solution?!

I set up an Apple ID years ago with a hotmail email account. I also deleted that hotmail email account years ago. I now have a gmail email. I cannot back up anything to icloud because of my apple id that is connected to the hotmail email account that does not exist anymore. To change my ID, apple sends a verification email to my old hotmail account which i cannot access, and it also says my gmail account is my rescue account, so I wouldn't be able to change it to my gmail account anyway. Any ideas? I'd like my ID to be associated with my one and only current gmail email account. I have a lot of songs that I've spent a lot of money on over the years that I don't want to lose.

I've spent over 3 hours on the phone/chatting to online support and none of it seemed to help as it all revolved around resetting emails etc but can't do any of it without my access to my old email. Now my phone won't take cloud because they advised to set up new apple ID and use that, but can't sign out of old one completely. Also doesn't help because my phone and laptop are set up on the old one. Thanks for the help.

That's the ID that was used for the purchase. ALL purchases are permanently associated with whatever Apple ID was used to originally obtain them. Apps can not be updated without knowledge of that ID and, more importantly, its password. Apple IDs can not be merged and purchases can not be transferred from one ID to another.

You may change your Apple ID to any email address that is not already used as another Apple ID, or that is not already associated with another Apple ID.
In other words, if I have an Apple ID [email protected], and have alternate email addresses of [email protected] and [email protected], none of them may be used by me or anyone else for an Apple ID, Rescue Email, alternate email, or anything Apple-related.

I was able to change my Apple ID on all apps except iCloud. I don't have the original email account I used when setting up my iPhone with the old Apple ID and I have no clue what the password was. It appears I first need to turn off "Find my iPhone" which requires the old Apple ID, then I can delete the iCloud account. Sync with iTunes so you have a backup. Tap Settings > General > Reset > Erase all content and settings. Restore the unit as New. Reconfigure for your new ID and password. Restore your apps, etc. from backup.

I just did follow Varjak's instruction, but it refused. I was asked to enter my Apple ID's email address which unfortunately is the same as my Apple ID. I created two different passwords for each Apple ID n primary email address when I set up my I tune account in the first place, however.
I do remember my Apple ID password because I have used it every time I installed new apps, but I completely forgot my password for the primary email address because I've never used it at all! I have another email address which I actively use it for all my email. I want to change my primary email address which happened to be my Apple ID as well to the one I actively use.
Because of the explained problem, I can't log in to Icloud as I have been asked to verify by following the instruction sent to my primary email address.
I would really appreciate it if any one can help me solve this problem.

Correct, the second disc contains the iLife suite. You can customize which components of iLife are installed (iMovie, iPhoto, iDVD, Garageband, iWeb) outside of when you install the OS.
If you erase the HD it's all or nothing, it'd be a full wipe of all data, applications, and system files.

Yes, back on 2007 I chose xdcdx.

I login to Apple Support Communities (which I had not logged in to since 2007) and to my surprise I see this nickname that I almost didn't remember using here.
For me, it's irrational that I am able to change the main email address of my Apple ID (is there any piece of information more important than that?), but not this little username on this subpar forum system (subpar because of the web design/engineering, I don't mean to offend all the people here which are always quite helpful).
I upgrade to iCloud, and my email address gets hardcoded to my Apple ID. That's good, because I want this email address. In that case, they make sure to warn you that you had to chose an email address as an Apple ID for iCloud. That was not the case in this forums.

At least you do not seem to disagree with me that these forum are subpar compared to the usual Apple perfectionism level (see iCloud nice web user interface, for another fine example). This thing still looks like a forum from 2007.
