How can I change permissions to access network drive

I change Cf user permission for I access and upload my network drive documents(for using a cffile action="upload"). I need to add permission on the network. How change my Cf access my authority.http://help.adobe.com/en_US/ColdFusion/9.0/Installing/WSf01dbd23413dda0e-2c56ae6b11fae6200 fe-8000.html
I couldn't not to it.This isn't enough information.Could you be helpfull?

The user associated with the service credentials needs to have permission to use the drive in question. You will also have to access the drive using its UNC - \\serverName\serverShareName\directory\...
By default, the CF service uses a local system account as its login credentials. You'll need to change this to an actual user account.

  • How can I change the BlackBerry Link Network Drive mapping from Z: to something else?

    Hello,
I generally have a mapping to my NFS server on Z:, and my iTunes library has a relative path to Z: for all of my music - the fact that Link is automatically picking Z: as my network sync target for my device does not work for me to sync music, or anything really. I can't figure out how to change this value to something else.
I found the registry key: \HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Research In Motion\Device Manager\Device Settings\<DEVICENAME>\VolumeMapping with a default blank REG_SZ - can I use this key at all to manually change drive mappings for my device? If so, what is the key/value pair I need and will this mess up any assumptions taken inside the Link software for synching?
... Also, I have a Feature Enhancement Request to go along with this issue: Add a "Change drive map letter" button beside the "Turn on wireless connections to my computer" button in Link, and add the same option in the context menu to the 'Device Manager' for the mapping (which currently just says 'Explore').
    Thanks for the help,
     - Jeff

I do not know a lot about this subject but since Device Manager is not a Device and the BlackBerry Phone is not recognized as a Device in Disk management unless Mass Storage is turned ON it looks as if by design you cannot change the Drive Letter.
Also if Mass Storage is turned On in the Phone Settings File Manager and BB link will not work but the BB Phone will then be recognized as a Device in Disk Management and the Drive Letter can be changed, this has no effect on the Drive Letters for Device Manager.
Normally to change the Drive Letter and Paths of a Device once the Device is plugged you would go to Administrative Tools, Computer Management, Disk Management, right click the Device and choose "Change Drive Letter and Paths"
Changing the Registry or Uninstalling Device Manager but keeping BB Link or looking for a Utility that can change the Drive Letter such as the one that many XP users had called TweakUI (only worked in XP) or changing the Drive Letter for your Network may be the only way.

How can you change your line access selection?  I have found where you can change your plan selection, but can you change the line access fee or is that a set amount?

        DIVAB71,
Great question. The line access fees for the account are a set amount and can not be changed unless you are going from a basic to a smartphone or vice versa. If you are wondering about adding the month to month discount if you are out of contract Ann154 has provided great information on how to access and add the feature.

  • I was using a neighbor's wifi temporarily.  Now that I have my permanent DSL connection, my wifi connects automatically to my neighbor's  wifi.  How can I change it to access my new DSL connection?

I was using a neighbor's wifi temporarily.  Now that I have my own wifi, my Macbook continues to hook up with my neighbor's.  How can I change it so that it automatically hooks up with my wifi?  I have no problem with the connection.  It is just a pain to continually change to my wifi.

You need to go into the Preferences for the your WiFi and remove your neighbors from the list or move it below yours so that it will connect to yours first.  System Preferences (Accessed through the Apple in the Upper Left Hand Corner) > Network.  Then click on WiFi in the list on the Left hand side of the window and then click on Advanced button in the lower right hand corner.  You will then get the list of all the wireless networks that have been joined and in the order they were joined from oldest to newest.  Find the one in the list and either drag it below your network, or click on it and then press the "-" button to remove it from the list totally and then from that point on it should start connecting to your WiFi first automatically.

  • How can i change a password for network users?

Good day. I have a problem with changing passwords on server Yosemite. As i understand there is no way to change password for the network users remotely. I mean, when for example someone will change his password and then will forgot it how can i change it? When i open a server manage program and go to the "Users" and than open a setting for the user - "Change Password..." is not clickable.

    Hi Dcp24,
If you are having issues resetting a user's account password on your server, you may find the information in the following article helpful (article is aimed at Mavericks, but the steps should be similar in Yosemite):

  • How do I change permissions to access a shared file?

My computer has 2 accounts, mine and my wife. She has a folder with photos. When logged in as my wife, I duplicated that folder and moved the copy to the User>Shared folder. When I log in as myself and access the Shared folder I see the copied folder with the photos but I can't open the photos. Get Info shows that I don't have any permissions. How do I change that? Thanks for any help.
    Owen

Sometimes, if you highlight an item and use Get Info (or keyboard
command to generate same item) you can see what user permissions
on a file are; and as the author or superuser of a computer, you may
be able to unlock them or give them a different level of general access.
Since I don't save my images to a specific user account (though my
own computers have two accounts each) these do not have the same
permission issues when used between the accounts; and they are
saved to a file on the hard disk drive accessible to both users directly.
{This is what the Shared folder is supposed to do; but I don't use iPhoto
    and so this never comes up as a problem in sharing images or exporting.}
If a user or Admin creates a folder for images, and saves them to the
hard disk drive location, the other user can see and use them; but
when there are different user permissions involved, the files have to
be changed so other users can open them. There should be a way
to make the change on more than one item at a time.
Here is a link to another Apple Discussions thread with some information
which may be of use to you to more streamline the shared folder issue:
    Read/Write Permissions for all users...
    http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=7944908
Hopefully this helps; if not, consider each person contributing to folders
in a generic folder on the hard disk drive you create yourself; so it will
not be in a Users folder in the first place. You can connect to these by
putting an alias folder on each of the user's desktops or in their Dock.
{You could also work around the issue by making more work for yourself,
in that you can Archive images (save as .zip) images in a folder and
    under one user, those tend to not be user-protected from sharing.}
Another look at how to: "Share an iPhoto Library in Tiger using ACL's"

    Good luck & happy computing!

  • How do I change airport extreme's network drive permissions?

    Hello.
I want all Macs (3) in my house to have read/write access to the network drive connected via Airport Extreme.  Why is this difficult?
    Here are my current settings:
Here's what I want to change:
    What gives?

Unfortunately, Apple offers little in the way of setting permissions with AirPort Disks. You won't be able to set permissions individually for either directories or or files nor set them differently on separate partitions or separate disks.
One option, using the With Accounts option, is that you can specify individual user credentials with different access levels. These accounts would be distinct from OS X or Windows user accounts. However, to use this option, the HD would need to be formatted in HFS+.

  • I a owner and administrator. I can't change any file permissions. Help tells me to 'get info' on a file, them click on the lock icon to enter password. The lock icon is not present on any files I 'get info' on. How can I change permissions

I attached an external drive to my macbook pro for backup purposes. I found that the device is 'read only' for me. I read that I could change permissions by selecting 'get info' for a item and clicking the lock icon to submit my password. The lock icon is not displayed on any 'info' window for any file on my macbook, much less the attached drive. I am the only user and administrator as far as I know. What steps can I take to change permissions? Thanks. My 1st post.

How can I tell? The 'get info' window has no lock and under sharing and permissions, on says 'you can only read'. I did a get info on the Macintosh HD and it had a lock on it but said I could only read, for what that it worth.

  • How can I change permissions on my iPhone photos?

Whenever I download, or email, photos from my iPhone to my PC, the photos come in rotated. Whenever I try to edit photos taken with my iPhone, even something as simple as rotate or resize, I get errors telling me "You cannot rotate this image. The file may be in use or open in another program [it isn't] or the file or folder may be read-only." The folder is NOT Read Only but the all Microsoft permissions are greyed out and cannot be changed.
No matter what avenue I follow to change permissions, the files remained locked up tighter than Fort Knox and I can't do anything except get seriously frustrated.
What in blazes can I do to keep ownership of my own photos? They are completely useless in this form.
I'm running an iPhone 4S with OS 5.1, my laptop is running Win 7 Home Edition Service Pack 1.

Are you talking about your apple id or actually email address?
apple id - settings - app/itunes store - view id - log out and log in with new id.
    email addres - settings - mail/contact/calendar - add account.

  • Can't change permissions to external hard drive

Okay...so far switching to a mac from a PC has been extremely painful. I currently have an external harddrive that I only have read access to. When I go to File>Get Info I cannot change this to Write access. How can this be so hard.

Check the disk's format in the Get Info window; if this is listed as Windows NT Filesystem, you cannot write to it from Mac OS X. In this case, you will need to copy everything that you want to keep off of it and then use the Disk Utility in the /Applications/Utilities/ folder to erase the drive.

  • How do I change permissions on a USB drive?

    Hi
I have a thumb drive that is MS-DOS (FAT12).  It only gives me permission to read.
Is it possible to change the permission to read write?
I don't mind if I have to reformat the drive.
    AS

    For a Mac do this:
    Drive Preparation
    1. Open Disk Utility in your Utilities folder.
    2. After DU loads select your hard drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.
    3. Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions from the drop down menu to one. Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to GUID then click on the OK button. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Partition button and wait until the process has completed.
    4. Select the volume you just created (this is the sub-entry under the drive entry) from the left side list. Click on the Erase tab in the DU main window.
    5. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Security button, check the button for Zero Data and click on OK to return to the Erase window.
    6. Click on the Erase button. The format process can take up to several hours depending upon the drive size.
