How can I change the pixel height and width of a photo in iPhoto without changing the dpi

I want to change the dimensions of a photo. Current dimensions are 480 pixels on each side. I want to make a copy that is 100 pixels on each side, but I want the dpi to stay the same. In iPhoto I tried exporting the copy using the new dimensions, but the result was a blurred image. Is there another way to do this?

As to DPI - digital photos have no DPI since DPI is Dots Per Inch and digital photos have no inches hence no DPI - when you print a photo then DPI is a mathematical calculation - dots divided by inches - it is not a setting
Print a 480 pixel photos as a 1" square and the print it 480 DPI (480 / 1 = 480) and print the 100 pixel image as a 1" square it will be 100 DPI (100 / 1 = 100) - print a 480 pixel photo as a 4.8 inch square and it is 100 dpi (480 / 4.8 = 100) - just a calculation - not a setting

How can I view an AI file created on a MAC on a PC without corrupting the original fonts? An AI file was created with an image and text on a MAC. When the AI file was opened on a PC, the text fonts were not the same as originally created. Also, the same AI file was saved to PDF on the MAC. When the AI file was opened on a PC, there wasn't anything visible. Anyone have any ideas?

Are you using the save version of Illustrator on both Mac and PC? If so, and you have the same fonts installed on both machines you should be able to open it without any problems. You may need to tell it which fonts to assign, they are not always named the same. If you don't need to edit the text, you could convert the text to outline and eliminate the need for fonts.

Sorry, you question doesn't make sense. If you're trying to import photos, in your camera roll, to iPhoto, iPhoto doesn't import them twice.

Can I turn off the setting that displays the height and width in a little black box when using the marquee tool?

When using the marquee selection tool, a little black box pops up next to the curser and displays in real time, the height and width of the selection. The same annoying box also appears when dragging an item with the move tool, displaying the numerical location of the cursor. Is there anyway to turn off the display of that little black box? It is driving me bonkers.

Another way. You can use a USB flash drive & the camera connection kit.
Plug the USB flash drive into your computer & create a new folder titled DCIM. Then put your movie/photo files into the folder. The files must have a filename with exactly 8 characters long (no spaces) plus the file extension (i.e., my-movie.mov; DSCN0164.jpg).
Now plug the flash drive into the iPad using the camera connection kit. Open the Photos app, the movie/photo files should appear & you can import. (You can not export using the camera connection kit.)

How can someone put their number under someone else's name in an iphone without touching the phone

Ok, so last week on saturday my wife called and asked me why I facetimed her. Well I never facetimed her and didn't have an accidental call to her at all. I didn't think anything of it. Well later that day she called me again very upset saying there someone facetiming me from your number and it was someone elses picture on the other end. So we called sprint and they reser our network setting and said call apple support. Called apple support they said change all passwords and sign up for that duel security option. Well no one asked us to have her look in her phone and see if there's another number in her phone under my contact info. So I asked her to look and what do you know there's another number under my contact in my wife's phone. Now theres no way she accidentally added in a number to my contact. We know the face and name of the Asian Indian man who called us because sprint told us his name and we've seen his face because he facetimed and my wife saw his face. We don't known him at all. The weird part is that the number hes calling from is the same area code that we live in. So that makes it extra creepy. We figured he hacked in some how and was sitting somewhere in Asia.... I hope this all makes some since to someone who can tell us how my wife's iPhone 5s contact list was changed by a man who is phone stalking her???

It can't be tracked by serial number, if can only potentially be tracked via Find My iPad - if that has been disabled, as you say in your post, then you won't be able to try and locate it.

You should also change your email account passwords, and any passwords that you'd stored on websites/emails/notes etc.

When I try to sync new music I have to my ipod itunes tells me it will erase all existing content on my ipod and replace it with the new content. My question is: How can I add my new music without loosing my old music?

How can I back up my iPhone and iPod to a new iCloud account without losing any data?

Before Mountain Lion comes out I want to create a new iCloud account because I don't want to use the @me.com email that I created with my current iCloud account. I want to create an entirely new account with a new @me.com email address. I use iCloud to back up my iPhone, iPod and am signed into it on my mac. Basically I want to back up my iPhone and iPod to a new iCloud account and not lose any data. Is there any way to do this?

Before you connect to a new PC, make sure that autosync is disabled in Edit/Preferences/Devices, otherwise your phone will be wiped during the following sync.
Then back up manually:
Disable autosync in iTunes, connect your phone to the new computer and right click on it in the device list and choose backup. iTunes will backup your phone without syncing.
Transfer the purchases the same way, choosing "transfer purchases" this time.
When you connect your phone for the first time, all media content will be erased. But you can restore your settings and app data from your manual backup afterwards.
Don't forget to set up at least one contact and event on your new computer to be able to merge calendars and contacts when you sync the phone for the first time.

How can I save JTable column order and widths?

I'm trying to find a way to save the current column order and widths in a JTable, so that the next time the same user runs the app I can use these same settings. Ideally I'd like to save this locally on the user's PC. I think it could probably be done with serialization, but hopefully there's a simple solution. Anyone else already tackled this?

The JTableHeader class can give you all the information you through the various TableColumns.
I simply save all this information to a properties file which looks somthing like this
# Column Information
total=3
column0=Names,120
column1=Dates,140
column2=Status,110This can then be read back using a java.util..Properties object. With this information you'll need to manually set the properties of each TableColumn and use the column model to move the columns to the right position ie
cmodel.moveColumn(0,2); // move column 0 to positon 2This requires a little bit more coding to properly do the comparism of the column names with those in the properties object.
Tip: it is always easier to use the above format, ie column0, column1, column2, etc, so that you can easily use a loop to access the information form the properties object ie
