How can I change the report query source on the fly

I am new to Bi Publisher,
I have a user that wants to select certain columns in the table then have bi publisher make a pdf on just those columns
without making different reports for each of there choices, how can i make the report variable?

Hi Doug,
You can also use lexical parameters to determine the columns in a Data Template (or Oracle Report)... taking it to the extreme the major components of a BI Publisher data template could be dynamic.... something like:
select &select_clause
from &from_clause
where &where_clause

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
* Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

You can use Explain Plan for checking that your query is using proper index or not. First you need to check that Plan_table is installed in your database or not. If it is not there THEN THE SCRIPT WILL BE LIKE THIS:

How Can I change a report with base in another in the same dashboard?

I need to publish two reports in a dashboard, the first report is a list of values and the second report is a chart. When I click in a value of the first report, the second report must change with the value selected from the first report.
I first created the first report, and I changed the column properties in the data format, I selected treat text as: "Custom Text Format", the Custom Text Format is:

The second Report has the next filter: FIELD is equal to / is in @{NQ_SESSION.@}
With this the first and second reports works well, however, when I include the two reports in dashboard, the second report is updated in another window not in the same section.
How Can I change the second report in the same page or section where this the first report?

I am not sure whether this would work but worth a try. Create a third report which would call the 2nd report using iframe and GO URL. Name the iframe of the narrative view. And use the java script to update the iframe using objWin = window.open(<ur go url>, “biee”,”height=480,width=240,scrollbars=yes,resizeable=yes”);. I had used a similar method to integrate biee with mapviewer. If you wish to change your profile photo, follow the instructions listed below:
Hover your mouse over 'More' in the top Nav bar and select Photos.
To use one of your previously uploaded photos as your profile photo, place the cursor over the photo you wish to use, and click the small green “#1” box when it appears
If you wish to use a new image as your profile photo, upload the image to your photo gallery, and then click the small green “#1” box on the photo
If you are viewing one of your photos individually, you can also set it as your profile photo by hovering over it and clicking the same green "#1" button. You may also edit the caption and comment on your photo in this view
You can also change your profile photo by doing the following:

HELP! I was fooling around with my profile pic and selected and saved a cropped thumbnail. I hate it, and I haven't been able to figure out how to return my thumbnail to just a mini-version of my full profile pic. How can I change Siri's time to match the system time?

I'm trying to set an appointment with Siri for 10:00am tomorrow. She completes the task telling me "here is your appointment for 10:00am tomorrow", but the phone is showing that it is setting it for 2:00am. The time difference is exactly 8 hours. How can I change this so that they match?

Doesn't work for me. Tried all time zone settings (both in Date/Time and Calendar) to turn on and off, to set timezone 1 hour less - no result. Everytime I have appointment set 1 hour later than Siri recognizes.
I live in Moscow, Russia, and maybe the problem is that starting this year Russia doesn't switch to winter or summer time.

This line will be processed by the JSP/Servlet engine, and you won't see it in your output. If JSP ever supported a language other than Java, this would be where you would change it.

The JSP/Servlet engine will not process this script block at all (unless you include JSP <% %> tags somewhere in there, in which case they will be processed before the response is sent back to the web browser). This script block is where JavaScript goes. This code will be executed on the client's browser.
This is about as clear as I can make things given how muddled your question is. Please ensure you understand the basic differences between JSP, Java, JavaScript, HTML, Servlet engine, web browser before proceeding. Understand what code executes where, and in what order.

Our department (marketing) wanted to control the input of the iPads. We found out it was useless because our salesteam wanted to personalize the ipad (think about projectspecific items etc.) It is impossible for 1 person to control 10 iPads and deliver input for each different iPad. So we decided that each office can have its own account. But these ipads are already connected to 1 computer (i know you can connect them to a max. of 5 computers, but that is not enough in this case..) They can make there own account with their personal creditcard or that of the office. How can i disconnect the iPads en still remain the files on the iPads?

Whatt ype of "files" are you concerned about? Are they purchases from the AppStore or music, video etc, or something else? If you are concerned about Apps, one method of centrally distributing apps is to purchase apps with a corporate credit card, and then "gift" them to the various employees. The "gifted" app is sent to the email address you specify and can actually be forwarded, prior to install to another user for their use...

You will need to remove it as your rescue email : log into your account via the 'manage your apple id' button on http://appleid.apple.com, select the 'Password And Security' section on your account's screen, and answer the two security questions that show - you should then be taken to another screen where you can change or remove your rescue email address.
Then try logging out of your account and then log back in and see if you can then use it as your primary email address.

I have already registered on iTunes but my bank account and email address are different now so I am trying to change this in order to buy an iBook. I am fast running out of patience as the iTunes 'change your account' details section says it's being updated and "sorry for the inconvenience" !
