How can I change the view of Download Folder in Dock

I used to have my Download Folder in my Dock show up as a vertical string of icons with the latest at the bottom, when I clicked on the Folder. I recently had to drag the Downloads Folder back into the Dock after it had disappeared from there.  After doing that I now notice when I click on the Downloads icon in the Dock, it now shows up as a page full of icons.  I prefer the original vertical listing.  How can I change it back?
Hope someone can help on this one.  Thanks.

That's not an option. Under Display As, you have the view options for Downloads

How can I change the default start up folder to be d:\work\ ?
It seems to be going to one default folder every time I open that I didn't suggest.
    I'm using Bridge CS4
    Thanks ahead

If the program does not open the last folder you visited you most likely have the option enabled to autoload Bridge on Startup.  Either disable that option  in PS or shut Bridge down before you shut off the computer.

If you always want it to start on a specific folder you can leave it on autoload, go to folder you want it to start on then exit Bridge.  It should load this each time in future.  Many of us discourage the autoload option as it can lead to other problems as well.

  • When I do a search for a particular song in the iTunes store, how can I change the view for the results?

I have the latest version of iTunes.  Today I did a search for a particular song.  In the past, I used to get a list of the song and the various artists who recorded it, and I could click the little arrow and play a preview of that song before I decided to buy it.  Today the results didn't display that way - instead, I got a page with probably 50 or 100 songs all spread out across the page, and the "writing" was all overlayed so you couldn't quite tell what you're supposed to see!  I want to go back to the "list" view but couldn't find anywhere to change the view preference.  Any idea how?

Do a malware check with some malware scan programs.<br />
You need to scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.<br />
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of the database before doing a scan.<br />

  • How can I change the view of an image

Hi!! I want to ask if anybody know how to open a document from a content area not with the explorer, but with another image viewer.
    Thanks in advance!!

    dpi,
If you are talking about a raster image placed in Illy, you can only change the size to get the desired PPI/DPI.
If you are talking about raster effects or a raster image created in Illy, you may set the desired resolution of raster effects, or the desired resolution or total pixel x pixel size of the exported/saved image.
If you are talking about pure vector artwork, the resolution depends on your printer (driver) (settings), as Doug said.

  • How can I change the view from 2 Pages to one page?

I accidentally hit something and now my document is displaying 2 pages. This is distracting and I want to go back to seeing one page at a time.

Change the view down the bottom left corner of the window where it shows the percentage.

  • How can I change the color of a folder icon and also the color of the text

I am using Yosemite.  Is there any way to change the color of a folder icon and also the color of the text?

You can't. You can't individually set the properties of just one array element.

  • How can I change the view of my emails in web browser?

This is going to sound really petty.
I recently was forced to change everything to iCloud, it's pretty useless. My MobileME account is hooked up fine (not tried the iPad yet, heaven forbid) but when viewing the emails in the browser I cant change the way they're viewed. With MobileME I had all the emails along the top, with a line of text. Now they're stuck on the hideous chunky side view, where I can only get about 5 emails on my screen at once.
I'd really REALLY be annoyed if I cant change this, as it was fine before and I cant find the same button.
    Ugh.

The only things you can change in iCloud.com mail is the width of the message column and hide the filing system.

  • How can I change the view size to make it my default?

the view size is way too small with pages that I open on Firefox. I want to change the size and I want to make it my default so I don't have to click on zoom in everytime I open Firefox. Where can I change this? I have Windows Vista.

You can use an extension to set a default font size and page zoom on web pages.

  • How can I change the view of mails list

In the list of received messages has only one way of displaying information - detail.
With this method of displaying the message list displays all the information in one line, and is divided into columns.
This is useful when very wide monitor.
In my case the laptop screen is not very large and much of the information is hidden (requires horizontal scrolling list).
Windows Explorer, can display list of files in the view "Content", when the information about the file appears on multiple lines. This method allows to save space horizontally.
Is there a way to customize the display list in Thonderbird like that?

See the View > Layout menu.
If it does not look right, please restart Thunderbird after choosing a different option.

  • How can I change the level of a folder (elevate it) ?

Somehow when I imported my photos I made several folders subfolders of a parent folder when they should have been at the same level.  How can I go about elevating the level of these subfolders so all of the folders are at the same level?

    Go to library/ folders.
If you don't see the parent of your parent folder:
Rightclick your parent folder and click show Parent.
Now drag your subfolders to that folder. (Parent of parent)
Afterwards you can hide that folder again, by rightclicking Hide this Parent.

  • Mail: How can I change the view on incoming messages?

For some reason I can't read right across the page on incoming messages. Only way to do this is by dragging the whole window across.
I've tried changing view/textsize but no joy. People tell me that they can't read right across on messages I send them.......... Can anyone help please?
    Problem has only just started......

The other option is that the incoming mail maybe in a format that doesn't match how your Mail account is set up. Does this only happen with email from certain sources, as happened to me?
The way to crack it is to select the message by highlighting it in the Inbox list, then go to Format and if it's available, select 'Make Plain Text'. There may also be an option to 'Make Rich Text'. Either way, it should tell Mail to read the text in a different way and so wrap it to the frame size of the message window rather than having the line disappear into the distance. If this fails you may have to open the message by double clicking on it and trying the same thing again.

  • How can I change the view in Show Page Source from one long line to a more readable view

When using Develop --> Show Page Source in Safari 6.0.1 I get a view of the html that is just one long line. I can scroll along to the right but it is not very easy to use.
It seems to me that when I first used this feature I had a formatted view, that is the text was broken into separate lines and was easier to read.
But I think I clicked on something and it change to one line. I can't find a way to change it back.
Is anyone familiar with this? Or can point me to more information about Show Page Source formatting?
    Thanks.

    Oh, I see the problem.
The one long line view only occurs when I'm viewing a page locally on my own computer. (When I choose Show Page Source for any page on the internet the display is formatted normally.)
So obviously if I want to see the code in my own files I can just go open them in the text editor. I used to use View Page Source (previous version of Safari) as a shortcut for a quick peek. If there is a solution to this formatting thing for local files I'd love to know it, otherwise I'll just put it on the you-can't-do-that-anymore list.

  • How can I change the viewer settings when I publish an Aperture gallery to my iCloud Photostream ?.

I used to rely on MobileMe to share photo galleries with clients and it worked great, but now with the iCloud, I can create a public album on my iCloud - PhotoStream (that does not need an Apple ID to access) but it seems to be limited to just an asymetrical mosaic viewer interface that does not offer any titles or original exposure titles. One,- it looks more like an artsy vacation photo gallery than something a client could easily compare similar photos and Two , there are no identifiers that the client could use to relate his or her photo choice. It would also be helpful to add notes which I beleive is only possible on a non-public album. I would appreciate any tips,  thank you

    Don't know about Aperture, but...
If you're adding the photos from iPhoto on your Mac put the photos in an album and arrange them in the order you want. Use the Photos ➙ Batch Change ➙ Set: Date menu option to give all of the photos the same date but with a 1 minute interval.
Add them to the Photo Stream and they should remain in the order you want.

  • How can I change the background of a running webpage on my own. Example Facebook I want to change its backround color from white to black just in my view not for all

How can I change the background of a running webpage on my own. Example Facebook I want to change its background color from white to black just in my view, not for all. Cause I really hate some site with white background because as I read for an hour it aches my eyes but not on those with darker background color.

You can use the NoSquint extension to set font sizes (text/page zoom) and text colors on web pages.
