How can I charge the battery in my macbook pro on a plane

I am getting ready to take a flight to Australia. How what do i need to get to charge the battery on the plane?

You have to bring your charger with you and hope their is an electrical outlet that is compatible with your charger near the seat you are sitting in.  I do not know of any other way.

How can you recharge the battery on Macbook Pro 2011 with a usbcable?

    No, unfortunately.
You have to use the proper power adopter.
    Best.

  • How can I charge the battery on my US iPad and iPhone while in Europe?

I will be travelling to Ireland next month.  I would like to bring my iPad 2 and iPhone 5s, but am concerned about charging the battery in Europe due to the voltage difference.  Will the current charger work?  Do I need to use a voltage converter for these devices?

All Apple chargers work from 100-240VAC, 50-60Hz power. All you will need is a plug adapter for the country you are in.
You can use your iPad charger to charge your iPhone (also, it will charge it faster than the iPhone charger).
     Cheers, Tom
Have a great time on your trip.

If you have a newer MBP, you do NOT calibrate the battery:

Need to replace battery in my Macbook Pro. How do I do this?

I would take it to an authorized service place (unless you have a very old MBP with a user replaceable battery).

  • How can i buy new battery for my macBook pro in France

    Hello,
Please, someone can tell me how to find and buy new battery for my 2008 macBook pro in France ?
This one is very old, i already changed this battery one time, i think Apple store of town won't be ok to make the work cause i have made it myself one time before (it has fallen several times, almost broken, means impossible to shut the battery place but still working on). So i bought a battery to a third provider, wich doesn't work of course, try to ask to online assistance but i have to pay 30 € just to ask my question and i doesn't want...
SO WHAT IS THE SOLUTION TO CHANGE MY BATTERY ??? HELP !!!
I bought it in 2008. I don't know exactly the serie. Just know it's a 2,4 GHZ Intel Core 2 Duo.
The reference of battery is A1281 10,8V 50 Wh. Can't find it on the store. The only one i found was on a website who didn't tell it's was a fake...
    Lost 85 €

Here are the International Apple support telephone numbers:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/he57
I note Egypt is not listed.
Purchasing a battery from a third party vendor is a high risk proposition.  Many such batteries have been found to be substandard.
I suggest that you try and contact Apple and see if you can have one shipped to you.
    Ciao.

  • How can I remove the ifunbox from my MacBook Pro?

I accidentally downloaded and installed the ifunbox and now I can not remove it. How can I get rid of it? Thank you.

You may have already found your answers but if not, you simply use your finder. Select 'Applications' on the side. Then find the iFunbox icon and drag it to your trash bin. Give it a few seconds and then check your launchpad. I should be gone. I had the same problem and got very frustrated at the fact that I couldn't remove it through the launchpad, as I do other apps. Hope this helped, that is if you still needed it.

  • Can you change the battery in a macbook pro 17" yourself

I have a 17" macbook pro and it needs a new battery.  Can I just buy the battery and install it myself or do I need to buy it and let Apple people do it

  • How can i check the temperature of my macbook pro

Hi, my Macbook pro, purchased in November '13, seems to get quite warm when streaming videos or using skype. I understand that these are heavy on the VPU, but it seems to get a lot warmer than my other PC notebooks. The fan was audible for the first time ever today. Is there a trusted app that can be used to measure core temps?

    There are many.
iStatPro is a widget for the Dashboard.
Temperature Monitor is one such app.
    Google, try the app store.

  • How can I clean the keys on my Macbook Pro?

I got my macbook pro 7 months ago and the keys look terrible. I guess my fingers are naturally greasy, because the keys aren't as matte and rough as they were when I got the macbook; they're softer, have oil patches and are worn down. I've searched this topic everywhere but couldn't get a direct answer, and my keys need to be cleaned... Also, are they supposed to be worn down? My friend has had her macbook since last year and her keyboard is still matte and brand new, even though she doesn't clean it or use a keyboard cover. :T

I have cleaned my keys using two methods 1) with the microfiber cloth the mac came with.  I made sure the cloth wasn't very wet. 2) I used electronic wipes.  Both yielded excellent results.  Make sure your mac is turned off and the magsafe power adapter is unplugged.  I have had my current mac for 15 months and the keys do not appear to be worn at all, but I suppose it depends on how hard you type and how often.

  • How can I make the Finder on my MacBook Pro recognize my iPad as a device?

I need to transfer images from my iPad to my MacBook Pro while preserving "file created" date and time information.  Trying to do this using iPhoto has not been working for Vertical *****, since the program auto-rotates the images and marks them as created at the time they are imported.  I would prefer to copy the images directly from the iPad to the MacBook Pro, but the iPad is not recognized as a device by the laptop's Finder, even though iTunes and iPhoto detect it.  Any advice?

This is very frustrating...  I did not capitalize the first letter of "vertical" and did not use any inappropriate words.  This forum should provide a way to preview and edit posts.  I believe I conveyed my question adequately and appreciate any feedback despite any possible distractions...

  • How can I stop the wifi causing my MacBook Pro from crashing?

    Hi,
It seems that my notebook is locking up completely when Mail launches and tries to grab emails.
Occasionally I boot up and the 'wifi fan' icon on the menu bar is completely white: it doesn't find the router signal automatically.
If I get the 'three arcs: full signal" on the menu bar and I surf, I can get to a few pages, then I can't get another page to load up: but the 'three arcs' are still there.
If I click on the wifi fan logo and switch off wifi, when I try to switch it back on again, it simply won't show the 4 different signals it used to give me yesterday (mine and my neighbours). This is weird as in the past I could get surfing to work again by switching off wifi and switching it back on again. Not any more. So now I have to do a restart to get wifi working again. Yuck!
I also got a complete crash when I got iTunes to download some updated apps for my iPhone.
The following may or may not be related... I've just plugged in my iPhone, and I get a window saying "A new network interface has been detected. The 'iPhone USB" network interface has not been set up. To set up this interface, use Network Preferences." I have never seen this before, but I clicked on the button and the notebook seems happy now.
I look forward to your comments and suggestions! Thanks for being there!

Use a cloud serivce like Dropbox, Box, Google Drive, etc.
Personally, I use Box and it works very well.

  • How can I improve the performance of my macbook pro?

My macbook is running really slow. is there a good free way to see if there is something wrong with it?

Please describe the problem in as much relevant detail as possible. The better your description, the better the chance of a solution.
For example, if the computer is slow, which specific actions are slow? Is it slow all the time, or only sometimes? When did it start to be slow? Did you change anything just before it started? Have you seen any alerts or error messages? Have you done anything to try to fix it? Most importantly, do you have a current backup of all data? If the answer to the last question is "no," back up now. Ask if you need guidance. Do nothing else until you have a backup.

Your one-year warranty includes replacement coverage for a defective battery.
