How can I check (√) all of my songs at once?

This has got to be easy. Some how most of my songs in my iTunes Library have become unchecked. How can I get all of my songs checked(√) similtaneously. I have over 39 G of music so I hope somebody has an answer for me. TRhanks in advance.

As long as they are in a continuous range, select the first, then hold SHIFT and click on the last. All in between will be selected. You can also use CTRL-click to add or remove individual songs from the selection. When you are ready you can delete the selection.
You might find iTunes Folder Watch useful if your missing files are scattered randomly through the library.

my ipod picks and chooses when i connect whether its going to update or not,
In Auto, it updates every time you connect it.
If you do not change anything it iTunes, the update will take only a second because there was nothing changed to update.

Apple's official advice on duplicates is here... HT2905: How to find and remove duplicate items in your iTunes library. It is a manual process and the article fails to explain some of the potential pitfalls such as lost ratings and playlist membership.
Use Shift > View > Show Exact Duplicate Items to display duplicates as this is normally a more useful selection. You need to manually select all but one of each group to remove. Sorting the list by Date Added may make it easier to select the appropriate tracks, however this works best when performed immediately after the dupes have been created. If you have multiple entries in iTunes connected to the same file on the hard drive then don't send to the recycle bin.
Use my DeDuper script if you're not sure, don't want to do it by hand, or want to preserve ratings, play counts and playlist membership. See this thread for background, this post for detailed instructions, and please take note of the warning
to backup your library before deduping.
(If you don't see the menu bar press ALT to show it temporarily or CTRL+B to keep it displayed.)
The most recent version of the script can tidy dead links as long as there is at least one live duplicate to merge stats and playlist membership to and should cope sensibly when the same file has been added via multiple paths.

How can I set all of my songs to play from iCloud with iTunes Match once I've deleted the original file from my computer?

I'm sure this question has been asked and answered, but after days of looking I cannot find a solution. I would greatly appreciate any advice. I have iTunes Match and recently deleted all of my music intentionally because I plan on using iTunes Match for a good long time and I also know that I can download my files in bulk if I ever the need arose. That being said, now I am having to individually click on songs to make them play. I will get the message "The song 'x' could not be used because the orginal file could not be found. Would you like to locate it?"
Then I click "Cancel" and the song plays from iTunes Match. Is there a way to make this happen for all of my songs? Thank you in advance!

Hey I had the same problem-
The fix to solve the error was quick and easy:
-Go to My Music tab and click on the song view to show all tracks.
-Then simply organize by the iCloud Download column. (if not shown, right click the column menu)
-The songs without any sort of iCloud icon shown are the ones with the error as you mentioned.
-Select all of those and hit delete. It will then ask to delete off of iCloud but make sure to click NO.
Voila no more annoying error on every SINGLE track over and over. I felt your pain, and now we are free!

How can i check all the data in LUW's of RSA7

Iam trying to see the contents of LUW's for my data source in RSA7, but it keeps on giving me only data from data packet 7, even if i changed different numbers in
in option " choose" and different options in " extraction parameters"
its only displaying data when i select update mode as " repetition" no records when i select "delta"
i can imagine thats bcoz my last delta was failed. is that right??
How can i select data from different packagaes( as it shows in BW)???
any help pls.

Actually i was trying to figure out the error data coming from my datasource failing my data load. the error is

data type DEC in data record 1 . The field content could not be

that field ANZVERTR has type DEC & length 6 is assigned to infoobject 0UCCNTRCNT of data element /BI0/OIUCCNTRCNT ( DEC & length 17)that has type Number, data type DEC (Counter or Amount field with comma and sign.
I guess this assignement is correct but i cudnt able to understand how this valus "60306XZED" is coming to this field. at the first place ANZVERTR has length only 6 then how come it bring this value from R/3.
I cudnt able to figure out is this error from R/3 or BW.

How can I see all of the songs I've ever bought on Itunes

So I've been working on putting new songs onto my mom's ipod for about 4 hours now, and I'm getting very frustrated.
Instead of putting all of the songs that I recently purchased into the library of all of the previous songs bought on the Ipod, the songs are all over the place and unorganized.
My goal is to see all of the songs I've ever bought on Itunes, so I can delete everything off of the ipod and re-dowload all of them.
I've tried seeing the recent purchases and only about 6 songs come up, even though I bought about 50, and I would like to see ALL songs history not just recent.

You did not follow directions. I said to click on Account, not Purhcases. There you will find:
Click on the See All link.

How can I check all the files on an external volume?

I recently had a problem with my external where the directory got messed up. Disk Warrior seems to have fixed it, and I've run both that and TechTool Pro on it to check the files and so far both have said they're fine, but I'm still worried. I have quite a few files on there and each time they test it takes only a few minutes where if you verify say, a DVD of files it takes 5-10 minutes just for that, and that's 4GB to 1TB.
Is there any way I can test all the files on the volume, much like verifying them, to see if there has been any corruption or data lost?

I have checked a bunch of video files that were on my external pre-trouble that I was able to transfer to my internal drive and run perfectly. Unfortunately there are far too many other files to check them all, all of my music on there as well as all my font, work and resource files so there's tens of thousands of files on there. Checking them all manually is not an option.
Thanks for the reassurance though. Hopefully at some time in the near future Blu Ray will be cheap enough that I'll be able to back up all my data to disc regularly, until then I'll just have to rely on my external.

How can you minimize all open pdf files at once in Acrobat 10?

My company just switched us to Acrobat 10 from 6. Now if I have a number of pdf files open I have to minimize each of them individually. Before all you did was click the minimize button and the program just minimized to the taskbar. How do you do that in Acrobat 10? The Help link is of no use in the program. Maybe this can't be done any longer. If not, pretty stupid.

I test web applications with Firefox and use the -P (user) -no-remote options on the command line to keep the sessions independent. In other words, I have created many dozens of desktop shortcuts with specific users and within each instance of Firefox for each user, the default home page is set. This all works fine...I click on as many shortcuts as I want, they all open up different sites I'm testing, and they're all independent of each other.
The problem is when Firefox updates itself. It's annoying to have to answer the update question, and to be routed to the update page 50 times (the first time I use that shortcut after the update). This is also true for plug-ins.
So is there any way for me to prevent having the update messages appear in each separate user's first run after update?

You posted here with Firefox 9.0.1, is that the version you are using on that test PC? <br />If so, update to Firefox 10.0.1 and see the new ''(as of 10.0)'' first start after a program update routine. Mozilla changed the add-on compatibility check that kicks in when the Firefox version number has changed. It's probably going to make your issue worse, time wise, after a Firefox program update.
As far as updating all the Profiles at the same time, '''LastVersion''' data is kept in the '''compatibility.ini''' file in each Profile - ''LastVersion=10.0.1_20120208060813/20120208060813'' - Firefox checks that file each time the Profile is used. When the version number currently being launched doesn't match the saved pref, it triggers the "updated" routine (but it works for the version used being older or newer than the pref).
The only thing I can think of is to run a '''batch''' file to update the '''LastVersion''' value change in all the Profiles that weren't used for receiving the Firefox update, to match the new LastVersion.

How can I open all attachments in mail at once?

I use Mail to collect messages from the IMAP server rather than logging in through my university's webmail interface. I often get mail messages with many attachments that all need to be opened at once (example: an admissions application that has 7 or 8 components for me to review). Clicking on each of them separately is a pain, particularly since I have repetitive strain issues, and the various applications needed to open the attachments (Word and Adobe Reader for example) want to grab focus after every click, forcing me to keep switching programs.
Is there any way I can tell Mail to just open all attachments to a message at once?

Try:
Select the attachments you want to open. (Use click, shift click, command click, as usual.) Control-click on (one of) the selected attachments. Then select "Open Selected Attachments".

There has to be a better way then selecting each photo one by one, I have thousands.
I did connect it to iPhoto on my Macbook pro and uploaded all of them but it only asked me that first time to delete all on my iPhone (which I didn't say yes to) now when I connect my phone it only asks to delete the recently uploaded photos...

My iCloud account keeps resetting my password. How can i reset all my Apple devices at once?

I have 8 devices to reset each time. It resets the password anywhere from 3 days up to 2 weeks. I getting a little much to keep doing this.

I have this same issue. If you have had your Apple ID for a long time, there used to be a setting that indicated the frequency in which it would force a reset. The switch to change that frequency is no longer part of the Apple ID management website. I read online that calling Apple could help - that they would reset it for you. I tried that a couple of months ago last time it happened. They told me that next time I should just put in the same password three times and it would all be over. However, when I tried that tonight, it wouldn't accept a password which had been previously used. Like you, I have a bunch of devices and an Apple TV - painful.

I need more space on my iPhone (5, recently upgraded to iOS 8), so I need to delete all of my photos (which my Mac says have all been uploaded to iPhoto). When I try to use the "delete all" option in iPhoto, nothing actually happens.

I'm afraid there is no way to mass delete your emails. You will have to do to from a web browser.
The only way to do it it if you have a Jailbroken phone.
