How can I check all the files on an external volume?

I recently had a problem with my external where the directory got messed up. Disk Warrior seems to have fixed it, and I've run both that and TechTool Pro on it to check the files and so far both have said they're fine, but I'm still worried. I have quite a few files on there and each time they test it takes only a few minutes where if you verify say, a DVD of files it takes 5-10 minutes just for that, and that's 4GB to 1TB.
Is there any way I can test all the files on the volume, much like verifying them, to see if there has been any corruption or data lost?

I have checked a bunch of video files that were on my external pre-trouble that I was able to transfer to my internal drive and run perfectly. Unfortunately there are far too many other files to check them all, all of my music on there as well as all my font, work and resource files so there's tens of thousands of files on there. Checking them all manually is not an option.
Thanks for the reassurance though. Hopefully at some time in the near future Blu Ray will be cheap enough that I'll be able to back up all my data to disc regularly, until then I'll just have to rely on my external.

Be carefull with what you delete & have a backup BEFORE you start, you may also want to reboot to try to free any memory that may have been written to disk.

You can use a program like Carbon Copy Cloner. It will clone your HD to the external. The format is the same as your internal drive and you can boot from it using Option key at boot time.

Iam trying to see the contents of LUW's for my data source in RSA7, but it keeps on giving me only data from data packet 7, even if i changed different numbers in
in option " choose" and different options in " extraction parameters"
its only displaying data when i select update mode as " repetition" no records when i select "delta"
i can imagine thats bcoz my last delta was failed. is that right??
How can i select data from different packagaes( as it shows in BW)???

Actually i was trying to figure out the error data coming from my datasource failing my data load. the error is

that field ANZVERTR has type DEC & length 6 is assigned to infoobject 0UCCNTRCNT of data element /BI0/OIUCCNTRCNT ( DEC & length 17)that has type Number, data type DEC (Counter or Amount field with comma and sign.
I guess this assignement is correct but i cudnt able to understand how this valus "60306XZED" is coming to this field. at the first place ANZVERTR has length only 6 then how come it bring this value from R/3.
I cudnt able to figure out is this error from R/3 or BW.

In case I visited a web page several times, how can I see all the visits I made to this page? The data I get in History is the Visit date (which is the last visit date) and the Count, but I would like to see the date and time of all the visits to this web page. I found a program (MozillaHistoryView) that gives me the first and the last visit date, but still I do not see the intermediary visits. (The file I use to get the data is a history.dat file).

You could use Global Search (Ctrl-K) and enter the address or name, then filter the results by checking the appropriate box for Filters or People.

Quick answer: Select all the tracks on the album, File > get info, and either give them all a single "album artist", or check the "compilation" flag (as in https://discussions.apple.com/message/17670085).
If these are from multiple-CD sets you may also need to enter the appropriate information in the disc number fields. If they are not a multiple CD set you still need to make sure the disc number fields are set correctly or all empty.

Depends on why it's ineligible. If it's under 96 Kpbs, try right-clicking on the file and choosing Create AAC Version. (If you don't see this option, go to iTunes>Preferences, click "Import Settings..." then choose "Import Using: AAC Encoder" and "Setting: iTunes Plus".) Then rescan your library to see if this version will add to iTunes Match. Or, after changing your import setting, just re-import the song to your iTunes library.
If the song is over 200 MB you would have to reduce it's size to make it eligible.

I think a rule of thumb is what you're looking for.
Full bandwidth CD audio (AIFF): about 10 MB/min
Apple Lossless: about 5 MB/min
MP3 @ 256k: about 2 MB/min
MP3 @ 128k: about 1 MB/min
Of course the MP3 file size is exactly linear with bit rate.
As for sound quality:
Apple Lossless is, as the name says, lossless.
MP3 @128k: fine for listening in the car or the kitchen etc. If you have an audiophile sound system, this will remind you why you spent all that money.
MP3 @256K: barely distinguishable from CD on very good equipment.
MP3 @320K: probably not distinguishable from CD.
I presume that since you're talking about importing classical CDs these are ones you own. Remember you can always do it again if you need higher fidelity or if better technology comes out. I import most CDs at 128k, since most of my MP3 listening is in the car, or walking, or as background. And I can always play the CD if I want to sit and listen.
The logic for purchased music is totally different -- you probably won't get to upgrade that without buying it some different way. So buying 128k MP3s (or AACs) is something you'll probably regret later. Buying 256k MP3s is a lot less problematic.
