I have several movies composend mainly of single photos. I want to show a movie in the finder with a movie-specific photo. I got the impression that iMovie chooses a phot by random.
How can I specify my preferred picture (it should be the very first in the movie)?

I have an app that I can't delete -- it is not an apple app. The message said it was in the trash, so I moved it back to my desktop (it's a zip file) and I want it off of my app folder and I can't delete it.

Open Terminal and type the following:

The Mac Pro's are pretty killer for AE. On a Winbox, you simply get the
best processor(s) you can afford, max out the memory, get a good board
like ASUS or a Tyan if your really into finnicky thoroughbreds. The Vid
card will have little to do with AE, so research that on its own merits.

I purchased an application (Quicken 2015) at the App Store, but it doesn't do what I need. The vendor (Intuit) says it has a 60 day guarantee, but I need to go back to the vendor (the App Store in this case) to get a refund. But I can't find any way to do that.

I made an earlier post, but nobody wanted to reply Here goes again.
New photography business. My wife uses a MacPro tower, I use a MacBook Pro, and we have a spare Powerbook sitting doing nothing.
1. We want to access and edit the same iCal calendar.
2. We want to be able to put it online - but not critical as yet.
3. We want to sync 2 iPhones.
So, if money were not the issue, what is the ideal solution? Is it putting Leopard Server on one of the machines? (would the old PowerBook do the job in the background?)
Is CalDAV the way to go, something I know absolutely nothing about? I suppose I am so confused about which direction to head in I am hoping someone will point me.
I will happily get Server if that is better, but is it?

If money were no object, then an Xserve with it's bundled Mac OS X Server unlimited would be the way to go. But, in the server genre, an intel-powered Mac mini with Mac OS X Server 10 client is far more cost effective. In combination with SoftRaid, a matching external FireWire or USB-2 external drive in mirrored mode, a spare power adapter, and spare 2.5 and 3.5 bare drives matching these creates an almost bulletproof but inexpensive server setup.
You might even find the Xserve solution particularly compelling as a storage device for your digital still photographs. It's possible to run Mac OS X Server on your PoweBook in all likelihood, but I would not recommend it.
On the other hand, BusySync running on your PowerBook would provide all of the 'calendar service' you might possibly need for shared and published calendars. The developers of BusySync are smart and responsive, and it's a great piece of software.

The first step is to connect your printer to your wireless network. Please follow the steps in the Installing the Printer Software for a Wireless Network Connection document for your operating system. If you have already setup your printer with a USB cable, each operating system section has the steps to switch from the USB connection to a wireless connection.
After connecting the printer to your wireless network please follow the steps for Getting the Printer Claim Code. Once you have the web services information sheet with your claim code please Set Up a Custom Email Address for ePrint.

As you may have noted from the list of Apple devices I own, I believed in the Apple and the products it was producing; but it is hard to believe from my experience and the other voices within the Apple Community that we are all experiencing the same hardware issues. Especially since I recently, I upgraded to an IPhone 4g (no, my faith in IPhone 5 series is very little) and is experiencing the same audio problem as described above. So now, I am off to the Apple store again to be told that it’s a hardware problem on new IPhone. Really? Apple, what happen to the pride in the product you were producing?

Everyone does things a little differently. I love to "jam " along with iTunes ( or old Lp's) . Always have. That's where/how I've learned to play .
I'm sure leonieDF is giving a proper way to jam along on a keyboard with an iTune. He blows my mind all the time with what he knows. Nuff respects to him !
What I do is make a GB project I call "Jam With". I'll make several new tracks that are blank. Just has a few instruments named in the blank tracks. You can change those per song ...
Because I'm not concerned about changing the pitch / key.... of the iTune or the tempo ... I can simply play along with it.

When a mail is received and then opened, I have the options to answer to the sender or to all. In the account preferences, I can specify if the original message is copied or not. This option applies to ALL the answers. How can I choose when editing a mail if I want the message to be copied or not ?

This is the easiest method I have found that will resolve your issue.
'Tools' > 'Account Settings' > 'Composition & Addressing' for the maill account
or
'menu icon' > 'Options' > 'Account Settings' > 'Composition & Addressing' for the mail account.
deselect / do not select 'Automatically quote the original message when replying'.
Click on OK to save changes.
To send a 'Reply' with no original message, simply click on 'Reply' button.
To send a 'Reply' with all or part of original message.
Highlight the section of the message or all of the message and then click on 'Reply' button

When I go for Profile Match-up, I found that One employee is lack-off some skills. I have a training program to fill those skills. How can I book that employee for training program from Pofile match-up screen?
Or is there any other way to book an employee for a training program from PD?

Thanks for your response, I check the option Generate training Praposals before running the profile match-up. I have created one training Event type (D) and i assigned qualification through A-028 relation.
Here one employee is lack of MS Office excellent skills for Assistant Manager position, I created Training Event (D) called MS Office training and assigned the qualification for this training program.
when I run profile match-up I got an Icon Training praposal (Tree symbol).
and also I have a column called Training , but it is blank.
I want to book that employee for that training progam (MS offcie training program), from Profile match-up screen.
I have selected the employee and I click on the Icon called Further Training. But the message is like Choose a valid line.
How can I send employee for MS Office training from profile match-up screen?
Please guide me...
