As far as deleting the songs, in a situation like this, you should restore the iPod which will delete the songs as well as allow you to sync your own music.

How can i recover my old browser with all my bookmarks and its toolbar

My laptop was running perfectly well till yesterday. today when i opened my laptop there was a HP update required massage window I pressed O.K as always. After a while when update was completed it has put a funny wall paper on my lap top, and worse, my internet browser has been removed. I changed my browser back to Mozilla Firefox, but now I lost all my bookmarks and its toolbar.
I also lost all my user I.Ds and password linked to these I.Ds. Now how can I recover this information? I did ran system recovery couple of time from last months dates but I still unable to get the setting of my orignal browser.

You want to restore your files after a refresh.
Once you have run a refresh on your PC everything that was not preinstalled on the system is deleted.
The only way to get the information back on your PC is to have a backup of everything on an external drive.

You should've deleted your iCloud account from the iPad BEFORE you sold it.
Now the new owner is using your iCloud account, and can access your email, contacts and calendars too.
Contact the buyer and ask them to sign up for their own iCloud account and use that instead.
If you can't contact the buyer, change the password for your iCloud account so they can't use it anymore.

How can i retreive mesages which were deletd on my tablet and have now gone from my pc inbox.

I have deleted 12 messages from my tablet device. I did not realise they would delete from my pc. They are not in the inbox or trash on either device. How can I retrieve these messages and conform my settings so I can delete on my tablet and they will stay on my pc in future ? Thank you. David

As you are viewing by pc and a tablet, I assume you are using IMAP mail account on both.
IMAP mail accounts get a remote view of folders and emails that are held on the server.
So, regardless of whether you view via webmail using a browser or via IMAP on pc or tablet using Thunderbird or other email client, you are remotely viewing the same folder.
IMAP mail accounts can see any subscribed folder and emails therein. Ususally, only the headers are downloaded and when you select to read an email, a copy is downloaded to a temporary folder to facilitate quicker access. You can also choose to synchronise subscribed folders, in which case a copy of the folder is downloaded to Thunderbird mail account in your Profile folder. This means you can view emails even if you are in offline mode. However, synchronised folders do get updated on a regular basis, so that any changes you make are relected on the server and any changes on the server are updated in Thunderbird.
What does this mean?
When you deleted an email using the tablet, the server was updated to show this deletion. Then when you accessed using Thunderbird, the server updated Thunderbird to show what was on the server. Therefore, if you delete an email using any access method, you are deleting from the same folder.
If you get emails that you want to keep, you need to either move or put a copy into a suitable folder in the Local Folders account. These emails are stored on your computer and are not influenced by the IMAP mail account. You can then choose to delete off the server knowing a copy is still in Local Folders.
The only way of getting these emails back is if the email is in the Trash folder and then you can move it back or use a backup.
Backup info:
Synchronise subscribed folders to get a copy of folders in your Thunderbird Profile folder on your pc.
Then go into 'offline' mode to stop further synchronising.
In offline mode you use a tool eg: MozBackup or manually backup the Profile folder. You could also just backup emails in either mbox or .eml files using the ImportExporttool..

How can I add a trusted site in Safari to access our secure Sharepoint site from the internet?

My company has a secure sharepoint site that we access from the internet that requires our Active Directory logon. The Safari on the iPad does not allow you to add the URL as a trusted site and thus it prompts you for your username and password multiple times when navigating to various content. The solution for full blown browsers is to just add the URL as a trusted site in your browser security settings. Is there a work around for this or will Apple perhaps add this capability to add trusted sites to the mobile version of Safari?

Non-Windows browsers do not have a concept of a "trusted" site. In Windows, IE and Chrome do not repeatedly prompt for credentials because they use the user's login credentials on the desktop. Other devices do not have this capability. Instead,
you need to use something like ADFS to authenticate users.

Mail/Preferences/Accounts/Mailbox Behaviors - check to see if store sent messages on server is checked. You can also set a delete time there.

It's a lot easier to use 3rd party apps like Photo Manager Pro. You just tap "Edit" and drag the photos around.

I can't get the same answer from Verizon Reps on my plan/device options as my current Nationwide contract is about to be fullfilled by the 2 year agreement. I even had a Rep make a Note on my accpunt that was later disputed by yet another Rep.

I hear you - not all reps are created equally - some know the plans and some don't. Some are quite selective in the information they give, telling you the "good" parts but leaving out crucial info that makes a big difference int he long run.
Where does that leave you - the customer? You need to read the various plans so YOU know what they are, and not depend on the SALES reps to SELL you a plan. If you keep your phone past the two year mark, nothing changes except that you are no longer in contract and can "quit", or move to another carrier any time with no penalty, or just stay with Verizon and keep things as they are.
If you buy a (Verizon branded) phone off swappa, or another private third party, nothing changes. You can put that phone on your plan without starting a new contract; same is true if you pay full price for a Verizon phone in a Verizon store. The only time you need to know all the nuances of the different plans currently offered is if you WANT to change plans, or if you want to buy a discounted phone - you will then need to sign a new contract with a currently available plan.
Those of us with the CL designation are pretty knowledgeable about the ins and outs of the current plans and can guide you answer questions you have about the specific plans. You may get just as many confusing answers here, since many participants are customers like you; some have more experience than others and some are just as confused as you! CL's will do our best to give you accurate info though.

You going to need a second harddrive. It is riskie to resize your haddrive with live data on it. You need a backup of the data. That said, you might as well copy your data to the second harddrive. Repartition. Then copy the data back. I bought a 128gig flash drive from walmart for $32.
There were repartition commands introduced in 10.4.6 to repartition the harddrive.
For what it is worth, you can non-destructively partition a harddrive from single user mode in 10.4.6 or greater. Of course, you should have a backup of the harddrive.
