How can I close a gap on the timeline?

I am recently moving over to Adobe Premiere CS6 from Final Cut Pro Studio 7 (wasn't feeling X) and I am wondering is there any way to close a gap on the timeline? I removed some footage and instead having to highlight all of the remaining footage and bring it over, is there a way I can just click a "close gap" type of button similar to Final Cut Pro to resolve this?

Hi, I'm trying to the same thing - delete a clip then close the space, and I can delete the clip but it won't close the gap. I've tried all the ways listed but when I get to the second step either it's not highlighted or nothing happens.

Delete empty space between clips in the Expert view timeline
You can quickly delete empty space between clips in the Expert view timeline by using the Delete And Close Gap command. Alternatively, press the Delete or Backspace key. Both techniques shift adjacent clips over to fill the gap.
In the Expert view timeline, do one of the following:
Right‑click the empty space, and choose Delete And Close Gap.
Select the space you want to delete, and press the Delete or Backspace key.Note: If the gap is small and difficult to select, move the current‑time indicator to the gap and click the Zoom In button.

I'm still not sure I follow - let me see if this is right. You want to have users signing up for something using a FormsCentral form and then when something is full you'd like that section to show as "Closed" or full so nobody else can sign up for that particular event/day/time? If that is the goal FormsCentral does not have any logic to close certain portions of the form.

If I accidently open a 2nd session of firefox resulting in two open windows when I close one window they both close and I lose my tab groups. How can I close just one of the two windows?

I have 3 profiles, one of which I typically use. I have firefox prompt for the profile when it loads. I recently renamed the profiles (earlier this week). So... the profiles do not exactly match the folder names for the profiles.

I don't understand what happened above, but ericn1, wasn't your problem that you tried to close one browser window using the red X, and ALL of them closed? How did any of the above help you solve your problem? jscher2000 gave you alternate methods of closing windows but said that closing a window with the red X "should" work. It doesn't work, because it is closing ALL your windows, not just the one you are clicking on. I am now having the same problem. with Firefox.
Understand I do not have the problem with any other program. In other words, I can open multiple windows in Paint Shop Pro, IE, Notepad, etc. and close one with the red X and all others remain open. It ONLY happens when using the Firefox browser.
The red X should close only the window that you are in when you click on it.
NOW, before someone suggests tabs, I don't like them and don't use them. My choice. Before someone says my browser is out-of-date, (3.6.13) I am using it because it was the last version that worked reliably on my computers, both at home (Windows 7 Professional) and my office (Windows XP Professional).
When I updated to the last Firefox browser, both computers started seizing up (nothing worked and had to reboot using power button) Removing that version of Firefox and going back to this version solved that problem. Fact remains, version has little to do with this problem. I've seen other posts around the net about this with different (newer) versions of Firefox.
So . . . does anyone have a solution to this that doesn't involve using keystrokes or hot keys to close windows instead of the red X that should work properly?

Either you have not read the complete thread or you have not followed instructions correctly. Instead of adding HierarchyListener on JSpliPane, you are playing with divider before realization of split pane on screen.

I know that holding down the command key disable ripping when triming.
But that doesn't work when deleting clips. It would be useful to lock videoclips to the timeline, so they keep their position.
Lock audio to playhead doesn't help the situation.

You cannot lock a video clip to the timeline. The program is designed so that when you delete a video clip, the other clips slide over to fill the gap. Otherwise you would have holes all over your project, or have to manually move them over. You would want to lock the audio clips to the non-deleted video clips, so that the audio slides over with them.
If you want to preserve the gap left by a deleted video clip, first insert in front of it a black clip of the same exact duration, and then delete the video clip. The black clip would hold all of the other clips in position, but leave you with a black hole to fill or delete. To make a black clip, separate two video clips on the timeline, and control-click on the empty space. In the resulting drop down menu, select Convert Empty Space to Clip. Then control-click on the black clip and in the resulting window adjust the time duration by overwriting the values in the time box and then clicking the Set button.

How can i render just section of the timeline?

Is there i way of setting the IN and OUT points in the timeline and pressing "cmd + R" and render only the selected section? or something like it?

You can also do select In->Out (opt a) and render just a portion of a clip.

You should be able to select Force Quit from the menu beneath the Apple icon in Finder
and choose to Quit iPhoto from there, without messing up the Mac OS X in the process.

Not sure if rebuilding the iPhoto library would help this issue. However if you had to
turn off the computer without the correct method (unplug, etc; instead of menu choice)
the system may have accrued damages and should be checked, maybe repaired by
use of the Disk Utility in the system. Or restart the computer in Safe Boot mode, then
run 'repair disk permissions' while it is running in that reduced mode; then restart after.

How can i Close the PO by changing the Qty to 6000 from 5.443,206???????

User wants the PO with 240bags= 6000 Kg but the value is like this 240bags x 22.68kg = 5.443,200 Kg(this is picking from material master in Alternate units of measure 100bags =2268)
*As of now the PO status is:
Ordered Qty: 240bags
Delivery : 264.550 (User changed the Qty from 240 to 264.550 bags in delivery)
PGI Qty: 264.550
GR: 240 bags
IR: not completed
The fact is that they purchased 6000kg and they were able to add into the system just 5.443,206, and They need to add the rest into the PO: 556,794 kg (we have them in the warehouse)
How can we do this?
In order to close this PO they want to add remaining Qty
i have tried to change the alternate unit of measure in the material master from 100bags=2268Kg to100bags=2500kg but this is not reflecting in the PO
if i am trying to create a new PO the new AOU(to100bags=2500Kg ) is reflecting

As per your posting i under stood the question like this.
PO has been created for 240 bags which is 5.443,200 Kg ( As per the material master calculation).But user wants 6000kg.
Delivery has been done for 264.550 bags at 100bags =2268 kg.Means 264.550*22.68 = 5999.94 almost 6000kg.
And since PO is for 5,443,200 KG , GR has been made against this qty.
At this stage please remove the new conversion change for the material since every transaction has been made against the PO it will not reflect.Also if there exists any transaction in pipe line will get effct due to this.
Just change the PO qty to 264.550 bags and receive the GR for the remaining qty which is 24.55 bags .Sytem will allow this change.Also no need of additional Delivery or PGI. since already the PGI has been for 264.55 bags.
Other wise if you want change the conversion factor for the material , please reverse the GR done and cancel the PGI at VL09 and delete the delivery and make the PO afresh and change the qty as per the 6000kg requirement and repeat the process.
Please reply the result.
