How can I come to see my itunes server on my devices (iPhone and iPad)?
Can anyone here tell me how I can get to stream music from my Synology NAS with iTunes server installed to IOS devices attached to the local network at home, without the need to have a PC to run??

She can't from iCloud without setting up your iCloud account on her phone. But just sync the same apps from your iTunes Library on your computer to her phone.
Your wife should setup her own iCloud account - which is separate to the iTunes Store accounts. -

RESPONSES:
1) When I set up my iMac, I did not transfer any data directly from my windows PC. I simply used the same iTunes login and account. I have access to all of the files via the "Purchased" section of the iTunes store. If I click "Download Previous Purchases" text, I can download ALL of the purchases I have ever made.
2) I have the Apple TV 2, so good news, question answered. I thought maybe it was the Apple TV 1, but it is the Black model, so bam. Good response for you. Well the whole damned reply is an awesome response, just pointing out that one piece of awesome. I stated that it was an Apple TV 2, and yet you were still good enough to figure I could be mistaken, and provide me with knowleedge just incase.
QUESTIONS:
3) So can my iMac not stream the data directly from itunes, without download? Apple TV can, but perhaps that is something among many things that maker it unique, and awesome.

I work in the computer support section for the Military. The only problem is we use Windows , lol. Well that and i've been gone for nearly 6 months on recover. I go back next month though I hope. I have two devices (Iphone and Ipad) on the same Apple ID. When I go to Icloud and click at the "find Iphone" I see only one of my devices. How can I do to see both of them?
Obvious question, but have you got 'Find My iPhone' set on both devices? Settings>iCloud>Find My iPhone.

Can I use the same Apple ID for iMessage and FaceTime services simultaneously on two different devices - iPhone and iPad? It seems those are competing to each other, and the services work on one of them only (iPhone).
Many thanks, Sir! Both are mine and it's good to know that imessage can work on both with the same Apple ID. Will now have to find out why imessage stopped working on iPad when it started on iPhone (new). After exploring the forum I understand that there may be plenty of reasons why imessage does not work, even though it worked previously on the same device with the same ID.

My new IMac 27" is intercepting mail from my IPhones and IPad. I don't want this to happen (especially from the IPAd which is work-issued).
It has also sent some of this e-mail to my contacts. How do I stop this? I have tried to disable the wi-fi, but this just cuts it all out

The iPhone does not sync mail message with a desktop client. Only with the server. If bigpond doesn't have adequate server side mail filtering, maybe you should create a gmail account for yourself and set that up on the phone.
You can configure gmail to fetch the mail from your bigpond account. The server side filtering on gmail is excellent. I see very little spam and there are very few false positives. -
I purchased four songs in iTunes, downloaded them, then did a sync with both my iPhone and iPad. All songs show up in the libraries of both devices. I then added these songs to a playlist on the computer then synced both devices again. According to iTunes on the computer, all four songs are in the playlists on both devices. However, on the actual devices, only two of the four are in the playlists. All four are still showing up in the library. I created another playlist specifically for these four songs to see what would happend, dragged them to the playlist on the computer, then did another sync. Once again, according to the computer, all the songs are in the playlists on the devices. However, only two of the four are actually in the playlists on the phone and iPad. Any ideas what's going on?

I had a very similar issue (same playlist). After several frustrating hours of various combinations I was able to sync by changing the options to "manuall sync.." and then "dragging and dropping" the needed playlist from the iTunes Playlist list to the iPhone button (on my itunes setup/view that was from the far left column list of all of my playlist in iTunes to the far upper right "iPhone" button). To sum up "checking" the playlist and syncing didnt work, "drag and droping" the playlist did... at least for now... then I unselected the "manually manage" in the options and re-synced and all playlist were synced correctly. Today I have encountered an issue with my iPhone and iPad when syncing with iTunes. I connect my devices to iTunes and have the option selected to not allow the devices to sync automatically. After the device has shown up in iTunes, I click on sync and iTunes does it thing until it reaches the point where it waits for the changes to be applied (on iPad this is step 6 of 6 and on iPhone this is step 7 of 7). It reaches this point and then just does nothing, I get the moving status bar but the sync does not finish and I have to press the 'X' to cancel the sync and eject my device. This happens on both iPhone and iPad.
I have contacted Apple Care and they have talked me through the process of disc repair and repairing disc permission from the disk utility menu from pressing CMD and R on boot up. All this came back all OK.
The only thing that I have done to both of devices within the last few days for the first time ever, I have switched on airplane mode, I have never done this before and only had it on for a few seconds but looking through some other questions on the Apple support pages, could this have had an effect on the syncing issue I'm having?
Any help or advice on this would be great...
Many thanks...Just wanted to update my original post with some more information.
After spending the day talking to Apple Care about this issue with syncing, sadly Apple care could not offer me much help. I was told they were not aware of any current sync problems or bugs.
I think the problem has something to do with the fact that I switched on/off Airplane mode for a very short while, I find it a little bit strange how both devices started to do the same problem straight after I switched on/off Airplane mode.
Anyhow, in the end, I had to go through the long process of fully restoring both iPhone and iPad and setting them up as new... -
Itunes no longer recognises my iphone or ipad. Both show they are connected to the computer but I'm unable to sync them. Tried troublesshooting and went in to all programs-accessories-msconfig etc but no joy.

Everytime I download and update or try to reinstall files after having my computer "scrubbed" they either won't open, can't be found or work poorly. WHY???? Some strange glitch has erased every single unlocked & unprotected file on my C: drive. It wasn't a virus because I checked autorun records and running processes using the respective Sysinternals utilities and didn't find anything suspicious.
I restored all data except for some system files and files that had "too long" of a path using shadow copies, which luckily for me were just a few hours old. Then, I decided to reboot into Recovery Environment and run System Restore from there. For even

What I need is a way to perform either an in-place upgrade without booting into Windows, or a way to fix the SXS Component Store, or rebuild the Safe Mode so that I could initiate upgrade install from there. A clean install isn't an option because I don't
have the luxury of time to run through the reboot cycles when re-installing and updating other software (I'm using Windows 8 CP for now as my work tools are mostly in the cloud).
It is not possible to do a repair install of a system unless you can boot to the system.
Have you checked the hard drive for problems? - download the manufacturer's test utility, create the disk, and run the extended checks.
