How can i completely delete a file that i already deleted. i downloaded an app in the apple store and after deciding for quite some time i decided to delete the file from my phone. and find out that the download file is still there and cant delete it.

Once an app is deleted from an iOs device, you will no longer be prompted for updates. Update alerts only occur for apps curently installed.
Purchases can be hidden (but not completely deleted) from the purchased list, but only using itunes on a computer. -
I purchased and downloaded 6 episodes of a TV show. I watched them all, then deleted them from iPhone and iPad to free up the space.
The videos are removed from iPad completely, but when I sync the iPhone the purple bar in iTunes indicates that I still have all the 6 videos! The size of the 6 files and the size of the 6 videos the purple bar indicate are the same. I am not syncing TV shows (Sync TV show isn't selected whenI sync the phone with my computer). How can I completely delete them?

I can't click any TV show to watch in iTunes app either even if I find the same TV shows.
I have no propblem with iPad, but problem is only with iPhone.
The videos are not HD.
Any suggestion to free up the space?

As per email.
Hi,
In the Finder (have any window open), Use the Go Menu whilst holding down the ALT key.
This will show the Library in the Menu, select this.
Navigate to the Preferences folder.
Find the com.apple.ids.service.com.apple.madrid.plist file and drag it to the Trash.
This is the one Messages reads directly to create the Receive At list and, if shown, the Start Conversations From drop down.
If Messages was starting properly and you restarted it at the point you would have to re-enter the Apple ID.
On the iPhone.
Go to Settings > Messages and check the app is ON first.
Then check the Send and Receive Section.
This will always list the iPhone Number as ticked and Greyed out (You can’t edit it).
Having said that I have twice found the Number to be Unchecked (whilst still grey out).
If this is the case go to the Apple ID section and Remove the Apple ID.
This will also remove it from the Send and Receive section (you can’t do it the other way round.)
Once that is done, place the iPhone in Airplane mode to break with the Servers.
After a few minutes take it out of Airplane Mode and return to Setting > Messages
You should see the iPhone Number being Verified. Wait until this is done.
(I would normally suggest sending an iMessage to the Apple ID at this point as it would be the only Active ID on the Mac. And sending a reply)
You can now add the Apple ID back to the iPhone if you wish to use that as well, if you intend to use it.

I then filter the Yosemite, Mavericks and iChat Areas using the Contents page and where require Messages or iMessages and deal with unread one.
Posting here at 2.41PM (according to the Time view I have) and then emailing me 11 minutes later seems like you are giving me the hurry up.
In the email and this Post you are not clear if you want Messages to work again.
Removing the com.apple.ichat.plist may help with that. (The Status Message one will not)
You may find checking the Font Book and the AppleGothic Font is the answer.

The Messages app is a built in application. It can't be deleted. You could move it to a folder or to the last home page so that you don't have to look at it.

Been using an ipad 2 without passcode for quite some time. While upgrading to ios 7, I enabled Find Iphone on the Ipad. It asked for passcode and I gave one. Now I forgot it. Connected it iTunes (on my windows 8 system) with which I sync and that too required an update as old version of itunes cannot read ios7. Problem is itunes does not want to get updated. Some vague error on not having right to write a file in ProgramData folder wheras as an admin i have full rights. Next I downloaded the install file from itunes site - no luck it would not install. Then I tried to remove itunes - it does not want to go. Am at wits end... Is the option only to restore it as a new Ipad?
Place the iPhone into recovery mode and restore the iPhone with iTunes on your computer.

Have searched Forums for quite some time now. Cannot find a correct answer to: how do I prevent my old email address from appearing as the "from:" address when I use a "send this" link on a webpage/news article. Do you get a drop down list with suggestions if you clear that "from" field and click elsewhere on that page to move the focus off that field and then double-click again in that field or start typing the first letters of that unwanted email address?

I have 3 computers...Window PC, PowerBook G3 (old) and MacBook Pro. I use firefox for all of them and have for quite some time. Is there a way for them all to use the same toolbar? Each of them have differnet bookmark/ settings etc.,
Open Media Encoder and add your Sequences:
File > Add Premiere Pro Sequence
Navigate to your Premiere Project and select it in the list.
You can then select multiple Sequences from the Project (Ctrl+Click)
and load them all at once into Media Encoder and apply
the same encoding preset to all Sequences at the same time. -
Ipad receiving emails but they do not come on to the mac for quite some time
Hi My Ipad is receiving my emails, the alert sounds, but the Mac doesn't receive them for quite some time after, is there a reason for this and how can I overcome the problem.I've just sent two emails and the response to both are on the Ipad, which is next to my computer, and I can see the Mac isn't showing anything in my inbox!!!!

RichardHi Thanks to everyone for their help, I've checked what has been advised, for some unknown reason both Ipad ans Mac receiving emails at the same time. I do apply rules to my incomming mail, due to the fact of persistent male medical tablets advice !!!!!! from certain sites and also people needing money! Idid check there and deleted the last rule, whether something I did in that particular rule gave this problem I will never know. Do you think adding rules in mail preferences is the correct way to stop unwanted mail or is there a better way?

I downloaded a 3.5GB movie in iTunes and then deleted it when it failed to download properly. But, it is still using up all the space on my iPad. I now have less then 1GB for use. How can I clean this out? Thanks.

I had a MobileMe account that I transformed into an iCloud account. Let's call it [email protected]
But I've also created another iCloud account, let's call it [email protected] It's still active but no longer used.
Today I've downloaded Messages for Mac, and when I want to add my Gmail address as an address that can be reached for messages, I get the following error: http://cl.ly/2b2r0q0W123Q3q10003u.
Fair enough, but now how can I delete my iCloud account using the Gmail address in order to use it whith my other account?
Thanks!As your Gmail address is an Apple ID of itself you cannot associate it with another Apple ID. I'm afraid you will have to find another way round this: you could set up another email account to associate with the @me.com ID and if you want, forward messages to that on to the Gmail account.

To transfer your photos:
Transfer and erase the Camera Roll:
Connect the iPad to your computer and launch Image Capture, iPhoto, or Aperture.
Select your iPad in the Devices list and click "Import all".
When the import finishes, you can erase the contents of the Camera Roll, if you want. That would be the quickest way, but deleting it on the iPad in the Photos.app would be safer, but more work.
Delete photos and video clips you synced to your computer using iTunes: Connect your device to your computer and, in iTunes, deselect the photos and video clips you want to remove from your device. Click Apply, and click Sync.

any ideas pleaseYou can't. The Purchased List is not user modifiable since its what Apple uses to know what Apps you can re-download without having to pay for them again.
You can however Hide the App so it does not appear on the List.
