Hi suzane,
The sbRIO-9631 accepts several Analog inputs and digital outputs. You need to consult the documentation for this specific model of the digital compass and determine the type of signal it produces, the voltage or current range and the resolution needed. If you can tell us this information, then we can determine if it is doable. Check out the Specifications section of the sbRIO-9631 manual to see some of the capabilities of the device.

The 6008 is a static DIO, so speed shouldn't be an issue. Therefore an optocoupler should work. Just make sure you get one the meets your specs.

I used to use windows to play my music when I sit in front of computer and use my headphone. My FLAC music is saved in an external hard drive. I use Foobar 2000 player to play FLAC. Between my headphone amplifier and window mobo is optical cable. Now I want to try that on the mini but it does not have optical output. How can I connect the mini to the headphone amp without having to degrade the sound quality below the optical connection I used to use on the windows? Thanks.

This Camera has three types of ports.
- Analog-out
- USB
- I.Link = FireWire = IEEE1394 = Digital in/out = DV-terminal
And Your Camera only can send Photos via the USB-connection - NO VIDEO.
So You Must get a FireWire Cable and eventually a ThunderBolt/FireWire converter Cable to get Import to work.
There are no real way around this.

It is possible to get a seperate decoder such as the one offered by Creative, but in my opinion the easiest route is to simply buy a new dvd player.

Note about some dvd players: If your player doesn't have 5.1 channel outputs like the pictured one does, then you will need to get a player that does. Unfortuantly, most basic dvd players do not include these outputs anymore because digital surround sound receivers are so affordable and readily avalible. Therefore, in order to be guaranteed that your new player will have these outputs, look for a dvd player that also plays dvd audio and/or sacd. These players MUST have these outputs for the multi-channel audio playback, and most can also output the dvd signal through these outputs.
Also, a lot of cheapie players sold at small movie and music stores have 5.1 outputs, but check before you buy. Good Luck!

Hello Depablo,
When making any voltage measurement you need to provide two wires and signal and a reference voltage. If you have a digital sensor or device with a number of outputs there should also be a reference or ground voltage output so that you're measurement device can read the correct value. If you don't connect the ground/reference voltage to the DAQ device then you'll be measuring a floating voltage and it won't be accurate. Voltage is a relative measurement--your sensor may be outputting 5 volts relative to its internal ground, but that ground may be 10 volts above your DAQ cards ground. If you measure the 5 volt line with your DAQ card you'll read 15 volts and not 5 volts unless you also connect the sensors ground to the DAQ card. If you're unsure which wire to use as a reference you can either contact your sensor manufacturer, or if you like you can post back with a link to your sensor's data sheet and I can see if I can identify the correct wire.

Welcome to the Apple community.
The Apple TV doesn't officially support a DVI connection, however you may be able to get it to work. You will first need to check that your TV supports either 720p or 1080p as well as HDCP. If you are able to get the video working over the DVI connection, you may also require a DAC in order to connect with Apple TV's optical audio output to the TVs audio imput.
You may well wish to make sure that the DVI connection works before spending any money on a DAC..
