How can I control video presentations on opening the browser.

The way I work is to allow all tabs to stay open until I have read them or until I have just too many to manage!!! This means when I reopen the browser I may have 5 or 6 videos which open and begin to chatter. I need to be able to close all videos with one action otherwise I have to go through all tabs until I find the chattering culprits! Sometimes I can't even find all of them and I have an "unknown" chatterer which I can't get rid of. Please tell me if it is possible to control all with one action - without losing the tabs and how to do this. If it is not yet possible may I suggest a modification in the very near future which allows e to do this because it is wasting a lot of time for me when I should be working.

Interesting, but it doesn't give a clue what I'm supposed to do. No Photoshop ducuments listed.
Look at the PSD file on the location Curt provided and search for Photoshop Document. Next to it ideally should show Adobe Photoshop CS6 if you have Bridge CS6 open. Click on it to provide the fly out menu and choose the correct Photoshop from the list.
But probably something went wrong with your install. By default Bridge chooses the latest version of PS to open its file in.
Maybe a reset of the preferences might also help you. Can you provide more details about OS version etc.
And do you have a good reason for keeping your Raw and finished files in the same location. Personally I keep them apart and use a proper file name convention (yyyymmdd and details) so I can easily search for the DNG files in my archive if I needed them but I don't make mistakes in opening the wrong one

I think this is probably a sign that your network could be better than it is.
Intermittent problems are often a result of interference. Interference can be caused by other networks in the neighbourhood or from household electrical items.
You can download and install iStumbler (NetStumbler for windows users) to help you see which channels are used by neighbouring networks so that you can avoid them, but iStumbler will not see household items.
Refer to your router manual for instructions on changing your wifi channel or adjusting your multicast rate.
There are other types of problems that can affect networks, but this is by far the most common, hence worth mentioning first.

How Can I Set Photoshop to Default Open the Most Recent Folder

Lately, Photoshop CC always opens a default folder-which is several clicks away from the folder I am using. How do I set it to default to the most recent open folder when I click "OPEN" ?

They would seem to be, but it's possible that they were released separately in the iTunes Store. Some apps are different but named the same (Angry Birds being a case in point). Not having any of those apps I can't say with any certainty. It's definitely not normal for iTunes to keep older versions.
If you're still on Mac OS X 10.5.6 as your profile indicates, update to 10.5.8 and the latest version of iTunes and see if that makes any difference.

How can I get CTRL-F to open the find dialog?

I am using Firefox V36.0.4 and when I am on the catalog site of mydoitbest.com and I press the CTRL+F to open the find dialog and it doesn't work. I contacted the authors of the site and they said:
"This is a quirk in Firefox actually, not our site. You need to either click at the top of the browser (in some blank area, like below the address bar) before pressing Ctrl+F or press Ctrl+F twice for the search bar to come up in the lower left corner. We updated our Firefox to your recent version and had the same result. If you click the top of the browser first or press Ctrl+F twice that will bring the search bar up."
I'm not sure I believe them... This is the only site that has the problem. I have tried Firefox in Safe Mode, it still doesn't work. I believe they are doing something to capture the <CTRL> key because when I press CTRL+Left Mouse Click on a link it should open a the link on a new <TAB>, but instead just opens the link in the same <TAB>.
Has anybody else reported a problem with Firefox? Any other ideas or any way for me to check the source for the page to see if they are doing something wrong?

No, that doesn't fix the problem.
I've done some programming and have been checking out their site. They are trapping the keys so the first time I press <CTRL-F> it puts a lower case "f" in their search box. If I press <CTRL-F> again the search dialog box does open. If I click on their search box first with the mouse, then press <CTRL-F> it works as it should.
I guess I'll have to live with it, because they don't seem interested in correcting their problem.

How can I install Adobe Acrobat without installing the browser extensions?

Hello All,
I am a computer Technician at a high school and we have very strict browser requirements for different services. We need to use Adobe Acrobat to convert PDF's, and other tasks, and we need to use Chrome to open Adobe Reader files. The issue is that I want my 3 browsers (Chrome, IE, Firefox) to open PDF files using Adobe Reader XI. All my plugin settings are correct to use Adobe Reader to open PDF's, but it either downloads a PDF to the computer, or opens up in the browsers default reader (Chrome does this), or opens up to a blank page with a blank error message. I went into the programs Internet settings for Adobe Reader and Adobe Acrobat and it's telling me the browser opens them up using Adobe Acrobat (With no option to change the setting). The problem is only solved when I uninstall Adobe Acrobat.Then I am able to open PDF's in Adobe Reader just like I want (but this gets rids of Acrobat). This leads me to believe that when I install Adobe Acrobat, there is a registry key or something that is telling the computer to open PDF's in browsers using Acrobat. My initial question is this: How can I install adobe Acrobat without linking it to the browser. I JUST want Adobe Acrobat as a program installed on the computer.
Additional Info:
- I build a computer image and use that image on several computers. This issue persists with all of the computers I installed the image on.
- I am using Adobe Reader 11 (Now DC, but I am willing to use either) and Adobe Acrobat Pro CS3 (I think it's version 9?)

How can I purge screen names stored in the browser?

When I go to a website and start to type my screen name, all the screen names I have used starting with that letter are suggested in a drop-down box. How can I get rid of these? Sometimes they were typed in error, sometimes they are out of date. I'd like to get rid of them, but don't know how.

How do I get videos to play in the browser?

I get sound when I try to play a video in the browser, but I don't get any video playback. A lot of the time, I just get a spinning circle or whatever "processing/wait" icon the video player uses. I am running FF 33 for Android on an LG Optimus G Pro. I have Ghostery and AdBlock Plus installed, but Ghostery is disables, because it's practically unusable on this phone.

First thing: in the HTML tab of the publish settings, set the
dimensions to percent and choose 100 for width and height.
Depending on your content, you might then need to play around
with the scaling of the objects on stage. There's some info in the

When I click the home button, it takes me to my home page AND opens a blank tab. How can I get it to stop opening the new tab!

I have igoogle as my hompage. When I click the home button, it will open my igoogle page but also open up a blank tab as well. Firefox didn't always do this, it just started. I figured it out. Just make a full-screen invisible button
and place it on a layer on each frame.
For insatnce, Actions - Button for frame 2:
on (keyPress "<PageDown>") {
gotoAndStop (3);
on (keyPress "<PageUp>") {
gotoAndStop (2);
sends the show forward to frame (slide) 3 with a press of the
remote's "Next" button and sends it back to frame (slide) 1 with a
press of the "Back" button.
I have a Stop action on each frame.
This allows me to control a Flash show just like a Powerpoint
show. Cool.

Why do apps running under OSX insist on loading the last-opened file whenever you start them up?
I've seen this now with Preview and QuickTime so far and it's really annoying. If I double click a file to preview or play it, why would I want the last files I'd viewed to also reopen without my asking for it?

To switch off the "Restore windows ..." generally is the "brute force method".
With some apps, this behavior is really a benefit (e.g. Terminal, Texteditors, ...).
