How can I convert Itunes video albums tracks to ipod tracks

How can I convert Itunes video albums tracks to ipod tracks?

3pg is an odd format... That or I just never seen it before. :P
iTunes just ***** at converting videos. So far all videos I tried converting with iTunes have resulted in the same error you got.
You're better-off using 3rd party apps, and then copying to iTunes, and then copying to the iPod.
Unfortunately I don't know of any conversion programs for Windows.
If you by chance have a mac, this program works great: http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/video/flv2itunes.html
The mac version of Handbrake below works great, hopefully the Windows version does, too:

When converting with handbrake, make sure to use the iPod preset for the out-put video.
Hope this helps a little.

  • How can I convert DVD- video into Apple's format so that it can be played and streamed from my Mac?

How can I convert DVD- video into Apple's format so that I can play the content on my Mac and also stream it to my Apple TV? A few years ago, I transferred all of my home videos onto DVD but now would really like to put these onto my Mac and stream them through Apple TV to watch on the "big screen". Any advice would be most welcome!! Thanks

    MPEG Streamclip.
Apple do not have their "own" format. You need to convert your DVDs to H.264 though.

  • How can I save iTunes videos in my icloud?

Hi how can i Save iTunes videos in my icloud?

You can't save your iTunes films and/or TV programmes in the cloud, whether they will show in the cloud for redownloading in the Purchased tab in the iTunes app depends upon what country that you are in (they can't be redownloaded in all countries) and whether they remain in your country's store (rights-holders occasionally remove their items).
You can copy your iTunes downloads to your computer's iTunes library via File > Devices > Transfer Purchases so that you can take a backup copy of them, and not have to rely on being able to redownload them from the store.

  • How can I convert a video to a lower resolution?

    Version: CS3
    Like the title says...
I have a rather large video that I want to scale down,,, a lot.
I basically have a video that's 5040x1050 that I recorded with Fraps (I have trip2go which is why the large res). I want to convert this video to the respected ratio of 550x115 for a banner video in FLASH.
Please don't mention 100 other ways I should be doing this or other programs, the question above is the question I need the answer to because I have other projects as well where I want to simply drop the resolution from 1920x1080 to lower and can't... Besides for what is suppose to be one of the elite video editors on the market there surely doesn't seem to be any obvious ways to do what should be pretty basic and expected in a video program of any sort.
    Thanks,
    ~Dan

    Dan,
I agree with Stanley. There are also several rather long, older threads, on using FRAPS footage. I would do a Search of this forum for "FRAPS," as there might be some useful tips in those. One used to have some great flight-sim images, but those are now gone. Still, the discussion is there.
    Good luck,

  • Computer Hard Drive Failure - How can I copy itunes library to new pc/ipod?

    Hi
My old desktop pc hard drive recently crashed due to a critical error so I have invested in a new pc and am considering purchasing a more up to date ipod to replace my old ipod mini. Is there are way I can access, retrieve or transfer my existing itunes library of imported cd / downloaded (purchased) music from my old pc (e.g. from the ipod mini itself or by loading my original software disc on the new pc?) to my new pc / ipod or do I have to start again from scratch and lose purchased tunes etc? If so, Apple may lose a customer, which would be a shame.
    Many thanks for your help.
    Mike

1). Connect your iPod to your new computer. If it is set to update automatically you'll get a message that it is linked to a different library and asking if you want to link to this one and replace all your songs etc, press "Cancel". Pressing "Erase and Sync" will irretrievably remove all the songs from your iPod.
2). When your iPod appears in the iTunes source list change the update setting to manual, that will let you use your iPod without the risk of accidentally erasing it. Check the "manually manage music and videos" box in Summary then press the Apply button. Also when using most of the utilities listed below your iPod needs to be enabled for disc use, changing to manual update will do this by default: Managing content manually on iPod and iPhone
3). Once you are safely connected there are a few things you can do to restore your iTunes from the iPod. There are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod. You'll find that they have varying degrees of functionality and some will transfer movies, videos, photos, podcasts and games as well. Have a look at the web pages and documentation, this is just a small selection of what's available, they are generally quite straightforward. You can read reviews and comparisons of some of them here:
Wired News - Rescue Your Stranded Tunes

TuneJack Windows Only (iPhone and iPod Touch compatible)
SharePod Windows Only (iPhone and iPod Touch compatible)

iGadget Mac & Windows (iPhone and iPod Touch compatible)
iRepo Mac & Windows (iPhone and iPod Touch compatible)
iPod Access Mac & Windows (iPhone and iPod Touch compatible)
TouchCopy Mac & Windows (iPhone and iPod Touch compatible)
If you have any iTunes Music Store purchases the transfer of purchased content only from the iPod to authorised computers was introduced with iTunes 7. You'll find details in this article: Copying iTunes Store purchases from your iPod or iPhone to a computer
There's also a manual method of copying songs from your iPod to a Mac or PC. The procedure is a bit involved and won't recover playlists but if you're interested it's available on page 2 at this link: Copying Content from your iPod to your Computer - The Definitive Guide
4). Whichever of these retrieval methods you choose, keep your iPod in manual mode until you have reloaded your iTunes and you are happy with your playlists etc then it will be safe to return it auto-sync.
5). I would also advise that you get yourself an external hard drive and back your stuff up, relying on an iPod as your sole backup is not a good idea and external drives are comparatively inexpensive these days, you can get loads of storage for a reasonable outlay: Back up your iTunes library by copying to an external hard drive

  • How can I convert Music Videos or Movies to play in iTunes ?

  • How can I convert a video to a playable format?

This is a combined iTunes / iPod touch question.
I downloaded a video to iTunes. It is in 3pg format and it and plays perfectly in iTunes. However, when I tried to sync it into the iPod touch, it stopped with the error message that the touch could not play that type of file. So I used the "Convert Selection for iPod/iPhone" selection in iTunes and converted it to m4p format. Although this was able to load into the touch, it is corrupted to the point of being impossible to view or listen to. By corrupted, I mean that it "stutters" at a rapid rate. How else might I load the 3pg file into the touch, or how else could I convert it into something that is listenable?

3pg is an odd format... That or I just never seen it before. :P

  • How can I convert itunes songs to ringtones

I have just purchased on iphone 4.  I have many songs that I bought through the iTunes store that I wish to convert to ringtones.  I have tried several apps such as Ringtone Maker, Myxer, etc., and I get to the point where it just fails.  Either I can't copy the file to my desktop, or the songs won't sync to my phone or something else happens.  I watched ste-p-by-step videos of one app and when it gets to the next step, it won't allow me to do that option so I can't "finish".  Then on another, the text instructions don't give me an option that shows in the list.  Does anyone know of an app that works to convert these already-purchased songs, or some way that I can use my songs to convert them to ringtones.  I called Apple Support and they were no help since they don't support any of the "other-owned" apps on the iPhone.  I paid a lot of money for this phone, and even more in all the iTunes I purchased, there's got to be something I can do.  I love this phone, but the small choice of silly ringtones is the only thing I don't like about it.  Any help would be appreciated.

  • How can I stop iTunes automatically renaming tracks incorrectly as soon as they are played?

iTunes has started renaming some tracks as soon as I play them. It completely changes all the info to a totally different cd. The only way I can change it is to manually change everything back and as I have more than 30000 tracks I don't fancy having to play every single one to see whether iTunes is going to change it to something I have never heard of. Can this automatic renaming be stopped?

Could it be something with iTunes-Match/iCloud ??
I've had problems getting "Hide items in the Cloud" and iCloud tick-boxes in View Options to stick.
An occaisional glance at similar topics on these forums seems to indicate that people are having all sorts of funnies. So, I have severed iTunes from the net (I have Little Snitch) and will wait until things clear up before letting iTunes out of it's kennel again.

  • How can I Convert HD video to SD DVD

Final cut Studio is a new tool for me. I've make a 3 minutes video montage in HD 720p and when I try to downconvert in SD M2V, the footage look very bad with a lot of aliasing and pixelisation. I've try many setup with the best quality in Compressor and nothing seem to work. The shooting was make with a Sony XDCAM EX1 in 720p 30fps and 60 fps. The only way I've found for downconvert with good quality is in Quicktime Mp4 or H264. I've another problem with the quality of my shooting: When a subject have a lateral displacement in front of my camera, image is not smooth, it's like a stroboscope. I've setup my timeline in 720 30p. When I playback direct from my camera in the monitor it's OK.
    What's wrong ????
    Merci beaucoup!

    Try this:
Go to iTunes Store > Quick Links > Purchased > Movies
Uncheck the little box in the lower right corner that says Download HD When Available
Click the cloud download symbol to download the SD version of an item you want.

  • How can i disable iTunes match on my new iPod?

I want all my music locally stored on my new iPod touch. I want this so that I do not have to rely on wifi to have access to my music, and so that sonos will work with it.

    Greetings kkdawg,
Thanks for contributing to the Apple Support Communities.
Congratulations on your new iPod touch. If you want all of your music stored locally on this device, first turn off iTunes Match by tapping Settings > Music and then the iTunes Match on/off switch.
This should allow you to sync music to your iPod touch from iTunes on a computer, as mentioned here:
iTunes Match on iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
Syncing music with iTunes will be disabled while iTunes Match is enabled on your iOS device.
You can find detailed instructions for syncing music to your iPod touch in this article:
Sync your iPhone, iPad and iPod with iTunes using USB - Apple Support

    Jeremy
