How can I convert PC cds, Bridgemaster 2000, to Mac?

How can I convert a cd made for pc's, Bridgemaster 2000, for my Macbook Pro?

What exactly is on that CD ?
If it's just merely data files, like picture, sounds, music then the Mac Mini should be able to handle them.
It the CD contains a Windows program, then you would have to install Windows on your Mac Pro.
There are several ways to do this:
- Apples Boot Camp
- Virtualization of Windows through Parallels, VMWare Fusion or VirtualBox
- Use of Wine Framework through Crossover Mac, WineButler or the like

    Hello fruhulda.
    Before writting that, I checked the openOffice Save dialog.

    The fact that abiwork open Wordperfect documents doesn't prove that openoffice doesn't.
    The link posted by Tom claims that it does.

  • How can I convert an outlook pst file to mac mail without using a windows based computer

    I recently bought the new iMac as my older Windows based computer crashed with a bad motherboard.  I have been trying to find a way to convert Outlook 2007 pst files to Mac Mail without the need to use a Windows based computer since all I have now is a Mac.  I have the copies of the pst files on my Mac, so I am looking for the most efficient way to convert them to the format that I can then open them in the Mac Mail.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi - thanks for the instructions but where do you get the option for Quicktime. If I do File - Export I only get the options for File name, place and size but no option that allows to select quicktime:-(
    Have you got any more tips?

    Well, this question really belongs in the iTunes forum, which is where you will get fast answers.
    Just go to iTunes Preferences.  Click on the General icon.  Set When you insert a CD to Ask to Import CD.  Click on Import Settings.  Set Import to MP3 decoder.  Make sure you're using Good Quality.
    This should deal with your CD's.
    With your current music, as long as it does not have DRM restrictions (older iTunes Music did), select the song, right click on the song (or group of songs), pull down to Create MP3 version.

  • How can I convert an M4A file to an MP3 version?

    How can I convert an M4A file to an MP3 version?

    Thanks for your reply but that's not my problem.
    I know that I can burn an M4A file to a CD and then import it back as an MP3, but that's an annoying process and wastes blank CDs.  I thought iTunes had a menu choice to convert a selected file to MP3 format.  I guess that's not true with M4A versions.
    I will simply buy my music from Amazon from now on and I won't have to deal with this file format and protection nonsense.  I can download music from Amazon in MP3 format as the rest of my music is in.

  • How can I convert my Tiger DVD into a CD without spending more money?

    How can I convert my Tiger DVD into a CD without spending more money and time? I've spent over seven hours trying to upgrade an iMac 350 Hz OS 9.1 to Tiger. I have changed the iMac firmware to 4.1.9, but found that my Panther disc was only an OSX Upgrade, although the 3 cds are labeled as Installation Discs. Since I have a Tiger disc I thought I would use that. Unfortunately, my iMac only reads CDs, not DVDs. I tried networking the iMac to my G5, but upon shutdown, the OSX disc cannot be accessed. I copied the DVD files to my iMac hard drive, but again, the OSX disc cannot be accessed after shutdown.
    Is there a way I can burn a CD from the files of my Tiger DVD to get this task accomplished?

    Excuse me, but I never thought of that, nor did I have any intention of trying to rip off your company.
    I purchased four iPods for my family this Christmas. I have six iMacs just sitting around not being used. I thought that I would turn one into an iPod work station, so everyone can use one computer to recharge and hook up to iTunes 7.
    Unfortunately, iTunes does not work very well in OS9. Apple decided not to continue to support OS9 very well. I’ve spent several hours attempting to upgrade the iMac so I could set up iTunes 7. Unfortunately, my 3 Panther Installation Discs were mislabeled, and did not allow me to install OSX over OS9. My OSX 10.2.7 Installation Disc is a DVD, and my Tiger Installation disc is a DVD. Neither usable to update the iMac.
    All I want to do is set up a dumb iMac as a network interface to my G5 because I've use all of the G5's ports for our recording studio and the iPods need external power source if they are plugged directly into the G5.
    If you could show me an easier way to run iTunes 7 on the iMac I wouldn't be as ****** off as I am at Apple for not supporting the 9 older computers I own with usable help and upgrades.

  • How can i convert the data from mutiple-table to the other database(MSSQL)?

    Dears,
    How can i convert the data from mutiple-table to the other database such as MS-SQL?
    I have a third party system based on MS-SQL 2000.
    Now we want to make a integration between SAP R/3(Oracle) and SQL server.
    When my user releases the purchase order in R/3, the application we coded will convert the releated data to the temp database on the SQL server.
    But i don't know which tools will help me reach the purpose.  BAPI, LSMW, IDoc... ???
    Would anybody tell me which way is better and how to do?
    Thanks a lot!
    Kevin Wang

    Hello Kevin,
    The question to use which method depend on your detail requirements. If you use BAPI, you need to find which Bapi can provide the data you want. Bapi normally use as a function called by external system. So you need to develop an external program like VB/Java to call this Bapi and move it to SQL. LSMW is use when you want to upload data from an external system to SAP. So it does not serve your requirement. Idoc can be use to export data to an external system. Again like Bapi, you need to find what Idoc can provide the data you want. However, it does not any programming from the external system. If I were you, based on your requirements, I think writing an Abap program that read the data you want and download it to NT/SQL server will be faster and easier.

  • How can I convert an int to a string?

    Hi
    How can I convert an int to a string?
    /ad87geao

    Here is some the code:
    public class GUI
        extends Applet {
      public GUI() {
        lastValue = 5;
        String temp = Integer.toString(lastValue);
        System.out.println(temp);
        showText(temp);
      private void showText(final String text) {
        SwingUtilities.invokeLater(new Runnable() {
          public void run() {
            tArea2.setText(text + "\n");
    }

  • How can I convert an InputStream to a FileInputStream ???

    How can I convert an InputStream to a FileInputStream ???

    Thanks for you reply, however, I am still stuck.
    I am trying to convert my application (which runs smoothly) to a signed applet. The following is the original (application) code:
    private void loadConfig() {
    String fileName = "resources/groupconfig";
    File name = new File(fileName);
    if(name.isFile()) {
    try {
         ObjectInputStream in = new ObjectInputStream(new FileInputStream(fileName));
         pAndGConfig = (PAGroupsConfig)in.readObject();
         in.close();
         return;
    } catch(ClassNotFoundException e) {
         System.err.println("++ERROR: "+e);
    } catch(IOException e) {
         System.err.println("++ERROR: "+e);
    System.out.println("Can't find file: " + fileName);
    Because all code and resources now reside in a Jar file (for the signed applet), I must use the following line to access the resources:
    InputStream is = this.getClass().getResourceAsStream(fileName);
    I then need to convert the 'InputStream' to 'ObjectInputStream' or 'FileInputStream' so that I can work with it.
    I would be very grateful if you could help shed some light on the matter - Cobram

  • I want to remove the monitor from my 17" Macbook Pro 2008 to use as an external for my Macbook Pro 15" 2012. How can I convert lvds to Thunderbolt and power the monitor?

    I want to remove the monitor from my 17" Macbook Pro 2008 to use as an external for my Macbook Pro 15" 2012. How can I convert lvds to Thunderbolt and power the monitor?

    It's almost impossible.  The new iMacs have a Target Display Mode, but it's built to do that.  Without ripping your screen out, finding an acceptable power supply, frame, and whatever electronics to convert a Thunderbolt signal to the screen, the cost will be much larger than buying a cheaper HiDef monitor that runs with an HDMI to Thunderbolt cable to your MacBook 15.  In fact, you can sell your 17" MBP for a lot of money, unless it's broken or something, buying you a really sweet monitor.
    By the way, I found your answer by searching this forum.  I would suggest using the search function here in the futuere.

  • How can I convert an array off byte into an Object ?

    Hi folks...
    Im developing an application that comunicates a PDA and a computer via Wi-Fi. Im using a DataStream ( Input and Output ) to receive / send information from / to the computer. Most off the data received from him is in the byte[] type...
    How can I convert an array off byte ( byte[] ) into an Object using MIDP 2.0 / CLDC 1.1 ?
    I found on the web 2 functions that made this... but it uses a ObjectOutputStream and ObjectInputStream classes that is not provided by the J2ME plataform...
    How can I do this ?
    Waiting answers
    Rodrigo Kerkhoff

    There are no ObjectOutputStream and ObjectInputStream classes in CLDC. You must know what you are writing to and reading from the DataStream. You should write the primitives like int, String to the DataOutputstream at one end and read those in exactly the same sequence at the outher end using readInt(), readUTF() methods.
