Hey guys, I got a question. Our school had recently got a program to submit game film, called Huddle. Well it uses a better camera on a iPad Mini. However, I still want a hard copy of the game on the DVD before I submit it into Huddle. What my question is can I take a Lightening Adapter, and then plug a 30 pin adapter to video cords to stream video off the iPad into the DVD burner for basketball games? Or is there a more easier way to do this that I am unaware of...I am just curious since I am pretty tech shabby, and I just wanted to run it by you guys to see if it would work the way I want it to. Thanks!

I have produced a 30 minute video for my son's football team using Imovie on my ipad. I do not have an apple computer and need to convert the imovie to my PC in order to burn DVD's. This process seems impossible. I have read many forums and am trying to export the project to my camera roll, however the process never completes itself. It will export for literally hours without completing the process. This project have taken me weeks to complete, mainly because the process is very slow with imovie and extremely frustating. Now, I'm ready to finish up and am so worried I will never get it off my ipad. What do I do??

THIS INSANE. You put Hign Def Video camera on the IPAD and NO simple way to get the you home made videos of it? Search this topic "transfer video from ipad to computer" you get NO help. the only responses are from people hocking there "computer programs that will do it" or "apps" that transfer files.

How can I transfer video from an iPad managed with Configurator?

We are using Apple Configurator to supervise and manage iPads at our school. If an iPad is assigned to a user, how can we transfer the video from the iPad (either the Camera Roll or iMovie app) to a Computer so the video can be saved to the user's network folder and then played on the classroom SmartBoard. I do have a video adapter to connect the iPad to the Smartboard, but there will be times when we just want to save the video file in a user's folder. When I connect the iPad to the MacBook Pro which we use to run Configurator, the iPad does not show up in iTunes. If I 'check-in' the iPad, will it transfer the video, and if so how/where?

Thank you. We use Dropbox as well and discovered how easy it is to sync the Camera Roll from the iPad to a Dropbox account.
I also found out that videos & pics can be transferred using iPhoto on the computer where the iPads are synced. I've tried both options and they both work well.

I have Mac OS X and I have Quicktime 7.1 Pro.
I know that you can record a movie by making a new movie recording. Use the fire-wire connection to do this and have you camera in playback or deck mode. This is probably not the best way to import video to your pc. I say this because it might not be a lossless ingest of video (depending on your quicktime preferences>recording settings.
Try saving your dv video onto your pc using a program like premier (i use iMovie and Final Cut Express).

How can I download my videos from my iPad 2 without buying the HyperDrive USB 16GB iFlashDrive from Wirelessphonegallery.com? I have Apple's camera connection kit but it only imports to the iPad 2.

I had hope that Apple had decided to make the camera connection kit a two-way device. I will be taking videos with my iPad 2 and did not want to take a chance of having my MacBook Pro stolen. So, I will be taking an old Sony notebook with Windows XP Media Center Edition. using the Windows XP Scanner and Camera Wizard have proved extremely useful. Since the iPad 2 and the iPod Touch are wireless, it would have been nice to have a way of transfering videos from my iPad 2 to a wireless external HD without being connected to the internet. In the future, I hope Apple will consider enabling uploading and downloaded with the iPad 2 with simplicity. I have a 10 megapixle photo camera and a Panasonic video camera with which I can change out SD cards. I never imagined that I would need more memory for my devices and this is probably a one-time need. I have an iPod Touch, and Ipad 2, a MacBook Pro, and a new iMac with 21" screen. I have been encouraging people to change from Windows products to Apple products. Apple knows there are things that many customers are searching for and will look out for their customers. If you are seeing a cloud icon, they are not actually on your device, just available to download. If you wish to turn this off: Settings app > Videos > Show All Videos [turn OFF]. This is also available in for the Music and iBooks apps.
