Hi everyone,
For a good few weeks now, when checking my emails via a web browser, I have been able to say no thank you to the new yahoo web page. Today, I wasn't able to read the emails on my main account - Big Brother said I had to install the new software (Install BT software, I'm not that MAD!!).
I was able to look at the subsidary accounts OK, and then going back to the main account I was able to look at the emails.
I don't really want to go through the process of installing the new software, reducing the screen resolution and returning to the classic view. As I'm looking at the emails via the browser, is it possible to say NO or do I have to go to the secondary accounts first.

There's actually a slightly easier way to return to the classic mail view than reducing the resolution (using Firefox or Chrome), see my shortcuts option 23.

JonJon, First Quit Mail, then I'd backup these two Mail folders, by right clicking on them in the Finder, then choose Archive/Compress.
Users/YourUserName/Library/Mail
Users/YourUserName/Library/Mail Downloads
(Could be a different folder here if you chose such in Mail Prefs)
Right click on that Mail folder, choose archive, you'll get everything in the folder, and the folder itself in a file called Mail.zip, move it to a safe place, same for the Mail Downloads folder... only the plist is separate.
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/com.apple.mail.plist
I think not getting the Mail is a different problem. Are they differen't ISP at work & Home?

How can I convince iTunes that this is the same machine to avoid installing all my iPod Touch Apps?
I've had to rebuild my hard drive and reinstall all the software. What a pain.Now iTunes wants to tell me that I am re-syncing from a new machine and wants to reinstall all of my Apps. It is the same machine, and all the Apps show up in iTunes that are on my iPod Touch. I do not want to have to reinstall all of the iPod Apps and try to restore all of their data. How can I convince iTunes that this is NOT a different machine?
If you are using iTunes version 7 or later, then you can transfer purchased iTunes store music from the iPod to an authorized computer by using the "file/transfer purchases from iPod" menu. Note that the maximum of 5 authorized computers applies here.
For all other non purchased music (your own CDs etc) try this method which works on some Windows PCs.
Enable your iPod for disk use.
See: iPod Disk Use.
Open iTunes and select edit/preferences/advanced/general. Put a check mark in the box marked "copy files to iTunes music folder when adding to library" and also "keep iTunes music folder organized", then click 'ok'.
Connect the iPod whilst holding down the shift/ctrl keys to prevent any auto sync, and if you see the dialogue window asking if you want to sync to this itunes library, click 'no'.
Then go to file/add folder, open 'my computer', select your iPod and click 'ok'.
The music files should transfer to your iTunes.
If this doesn't work (and it may not because officially it's not supposed to), check out the instructions/suggestions here.
Music from iPod to computer (using option 2). This a manual method using "hidden folders" and although it works, it can be messy.
Much easier ways are to use one of the many 3rd party programs that copy music from the iPod to the computer.
One of the most recommended is Yamipod. This is a free program that transfers music from iPod back to the computer. However, it does not transfer playcounts/ratings etc.
Another free program is Pod Player. -

I am not exactly sure what you mean by "authorised", but I am experiencing a similar problem...or the same, in that Apple TV keeps telling me to enable home sharing in my MacBook Pro. It does not seem to recognize that home sharing is already enabled on my Laptop.
Is home sharing and "authorised" one in the same? It used to work just fine before these recent Apple TV updates.

My daughter's Mac book freezes at random times. Apple's been unable to fix it. On most visits to the Apple store, it works fine. On other visits, it acts up, and they replace something like the RAM or the hard drive. She lost a semester for university course notes, and currently can't use it at all, because Apple sent it out for 'diagnostics'. Her college grades are suffering. Apple policy in the past has been to try and repair three times. If is not successful, then replace. So keep accuarate records on when and what was repaired so you can make your argument that it needs to be replaced.

If you just want this for printing, one thing you can easily do is crop all of the pages to remove the margins. For example, you can rop 2" off the left and right sides, and 1.5" off the top and bottom. Then print using a Page Scaling of "Fit to Printable Area".
To crop in Acrobat 9, select: Document > Crop Pages

hello, this is a scam tactic that is trying to trick you into installing malware, so don't download or execute this kind of stuff - updates are handled automatically by firefox so you don't have to download anything (you can always initiate a manual check for updates in ''firefox > help > about firefox'').
you might also want to run a full scan of your system with the security software already in place and different tools like the [http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free free version of malwarebytes], [http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/adwcleaner/ adwcleaner] & [http://www.kaspersky.com/security-scan kaspersky security scan] in order to make sure that there isn't already some sort of malware active on your system that triggers these false alerts.

If you choose more than 5 photos this way, you won't get the Mail option. -
