How can I copy a table from a web file and paste it into a word document on a pc?

I am having diffculty getting a pdf file from a web document pasted into my word document. I do no get the option to copy or save as a table. I can copy and paste the text but I lose the table and the format and just get the text. Anybody know what I can do to solve this?

Try holding down the alt key as you mark the text to be copied. You can then copy columns to table text.

Copy the content of PDF file in Adobe Reader and paset it to MS Word then create PDF file from the Word file.
This may not work for all PDF files as some PDF files are not created correctly or some content cannot be copied.

OK, Now I have word up and running. No edit menu. Poor memory...
On the home tab at far left side is paste. Just below the paste button is a downward arrow which will give you other options for pasting. By default it will paste as a photoshop object. Which means you can not scale it but double clicking on will let you edit in photoshop. Clicking that downward arrow will let you do a paste special and the following dialog box will pop up.

Actually I am trying to copy the following layer.

I believe the fastest way would be to duplicate the layer and send it to the other document. Open both images. Click the document tab of the document with the shape layer. With the shape layer selected in the layers palette, right click where it says the shape layer name. Select "duplicate layer" from the context menu. In the dialog that comes up, select the document you want to copy that layer to in the destination box then press ok.
Alternately, you can open both images then pull the document frame tabs down to open both images in your workspace. Grab the shape layer in the document's layers palette by left clicking it...keep the left button pressed (hand icon should be a grab icon). While left button is still pressed, drag the shape layer over the receiving document. To make the shape layer register in the same location, press the shift key and keep it pressed. Release left mouse button while the layer is over the receiving document. Release shift key after you have released the left mouse button.

I want to copy the contents of an active window i LabView and paste that into a Word document programatically

I am developing an analyse program which produces a large number of results and graphs for each file. These results are presented in different windows one at a time.
It is possible to programmatically generate these windows and print each window before generating the next one. I would like, however, to be able to generate one window, copy it to the clipboard (Alt+Printscreen), (this function is available through knowledgebase), and then paste the contents of the clipboard into a word document. This second step is the problem. By this way a large number of analyses can be done and all the results and graphs will be copied to one Word document
for later study.
Has anyone any idea how to do this?

You can use ActiveX to paste anything that is in the clipboard into a word document, just follow the logical flow, application, documents, add, paragraph, last, range and paste using property nodes.

I am in the process of migrating from open office to Numbers, since Numbers really does look a lot nicer… however there is one point that I cannot find how to do in Numbers.
If I select a table in Safari, then in Open Office I can paste that table, and it will go into the rows/columns as a table. How can I do something similar in Numbers?

Safari & Numbers have improved in recognizing a table on a web page & pasting it as expected.
Often what looks like a table on a web page really isn't & the blame should be on the web page author not Safari or Numbers. I had this problem for a few years with my online Discover Card statements. Using Firefox or Camino made no difference. When I complained to them their response was "tough, live with it" although maybe not in those exact words. I would paste the data into a Pages document & use a lot of find & replace to get the data formatted to use in a Numbers spreadsheet.
But… it could be that the problem you're having is that you have the cursor active in the cell when you paste. If the cursor is active Numbers "thinks" you want to paste everything into that cell. Click outside the table then click once on the starting cell, making sure that the cell is outlined but you don't see the cursor & then paste. This is a much more common cause than above.

When you open your PDF file a yellow bar will appear on the top of the screen.
Click on 'Enable All Features'.
Then you will be able to copy the content from your pdf and to paste in any of the file.

I am looking for a app that can copy a picture on a PDF to keynote or pages. I have tried iannotate and adobe reader but failed. I read the introductions of a lot of other PDF apps, such as goodreader and PDF expert, but I don't think they are equipped with this function. Is there any apps having this kind of function? EDIT: Oops! I just noticed that you are asking about iPad! Sorry, I don't know any solutions for you. You can still take a screenshot (hold the on/off button and push the home button).
It depends on what you need. If you are trying to extract a high-resolution image to be printed, you will need Adobe Acrobat (not Reader, but real, paid-for Acrobat) or Adobe Illustrator. Other apps, I'm sure, can do this as well, but those are two.
If you are only going to display the image on-screen, then lower-resolution is okay. Just open the PDF, zoom in on the image, and push command+shift+4 to take a screenshot. Draw a rectangle around the image and a new copy should show up on your desktop.

Wayne found the Spinning Beachball of Death, and you will find it too.
Numbers is not good at handling large datasets. Might I suggest that you group your data into smaller sets (each month, perhaps?) and save each group in a separate Numbers document. Numbers will not link between documents, but you could have a summary Table within each document. Then comes the "clunky" bit of copying all those summary tables into a master document where you do the final processing of the data.

To copy photos to your computer that were taken with the iPad, copied to it via the camera connection kit, or saved from emails/websites then see this page - on a PC you can use the windows camera wizard
To copy photos that were originally synced from a computer you will need a third-party app on your iPad such as Simple Transfer which can copy them off via your wifi network. But as photos are 'optimised' when they are synced to the iPad, any that you then copy back to a computer may not be exactly the same as they originally were on your computer.

I am using the TextEdit on Mac as I do not have Word. When I paste an Iphoto, the picture is truncated horizontially, so you only see part of the picture.
Yes, the picture is small enough to fit on the page.

I don't think you need Preview.
Select the image and use File->export and you have full control over the size and compression.

You probably already figured this out, but....
The iPhone will sync from various things on your computer (check the manual for details) but if your Blackberry won't export the data or sync to anything, then you'll need to get the info off the Blackberry manually.
Alternatively, it might be possible to set the Blackberry up to sync with Google Calendar, maybe, to export the data? I don't know anything about Blackberrys. Try a google search or ask on BB forums with help getting the data out.
But it will be easier to manually type into something on your desktop/web, then sync with the iPhone, rather than hand-entering on the phone itself. Then keep syncing with whatever you decided to use, so that you'll never need to do this again.
