How can I copy some info from one contact to another?

If I have, for example, 4 people who live in the same address, how can I get all the address fields from one contact and copy to the others?

You can duplicate an address card by copying and pasting.
Select an address card in the Address Book window.
Choose Edit > Copy, then choose Edit > Paste.
Then edit the names and other details or set up the 4 cards and copy and paste each field as required

Numbers is not good at handling large datasets. Might I suggest that you group your data into smaller sets (each month, perhaps?) and save each group in a separate Numbers document. Numbers will not link between documents, but you could have a summary Table within each document. Then comes the "clunky" bit of copying all those summary tables into a master document where you do the final processing of the data.

How can I copy GPS information from one image to another?

I bought a Canon S100 specifically for its GPs and movie capability. On a recent vacation, I used the S100 and a Nikon D300. In cases where images were taken with both cameras in approximately the same place, I would like to copy the GPS information from the S100 CR2 files to the D300 NEF files. Does anyone know how to do this or if there is any plugins that will do it?

The added benefit of using GeoSetter to copy the information from one photo to another, is that you can see where every already-tagged photo is on a Google map to make sure the location is actually correct. Sometimes the camera clock is off a few seconds or minutes and you can easily figure how what offset to use by watching where the existing photos show on the map.
Using the MS Pro Photo Tools to generate a track from the existing S100 photos and then using that track in GeoSetter to assign the rest, with interpolation enabled, seems like the best course of action if the S100 track information is no longer available.
When using an external program to Geotag images that are already in LR, to be safe you should first save all the metadata to XMP files in the folder you’re going to tag, then exit LR, then geotag the photos, then restart LR and read information from all the XMP files.
Another benefit of GeoSetter is that you can assign the locality information to the photos that already have just coordinates in them.

I need to copy an existing database from one server to another server. I want to maintain all the settings from the source database.
I´m not used to Oracle database and i´d be glad for any help.
How can I do this ? Do I need to backup and restore in the other server ? Do I need to copy files from one server to another ?

I think a simpler approach, other than using RMAN, is to do a database export from the source and then import them into the target database. But you will need to do some ground work on the target, i.e, create database, tablespaces, and schemas (with their name the same as those in the source database.)

How can I copy a track from one session to another?

I want to copy an entire track (strip setting and audio/midi) from one session to another. The only option I can seem to find is to bounce or export as audio.
Is there any way to do this besides copy/paste the strip setting, copy/paste the software instrument, copy/paste the midi?

Why don't you save the channel strip (including the Software instrument) as a preset and insert it in the new session? Doesn't affect Volume and panning though unless it is automated. Then you could copy+paste the Automation. Audio and Midi files have to be copied+pasted.

I feel like I am taking crazy pills... is there really no way to copy a text box (or group) from one page to another while creating books in Aperture 3? Lets say I have my entire book laid out and I want to add one paragraph at the end on one page which will push text and photos down a half page or so... in most programs for the last decade or so they added really cool functionality... cut/paste... It seems like the apple developers are aware of it because they are in the context menus but they don't work on text, only photo boxes. Additionally, you can copy/paste text but it erases all formatting.
Seriously, am I missing something? I have trouble believing that they can't include this function.
Anyone else have this issue?

Update... it seems to only happen with text boxes which I create. So when I try an existing theme I can cut/copy/paste just fine, but in that same theme if you edit the layout and add a new text box, I can't copy paste it anywhere... the options are in the menu but nothing happens.
Thoughts? Solutions?

Trying to shuffle around the rows as part of an everchanging schedule. When i copy and paste from one spreadsheet to the other, the images overlay each other as if i were litterally cutting them out of paper and then sloppily pasting to another. Is there a way to set them up so crosscutting is more seamless in appearance?

The reason you get that result is that you are pasting the rows to the canvas of your second document instead of into an existing table.
Instead, make a large blank table in your receiving document and paste into that table only after clicking on the cell where you want the first cell of the copied data to be positioned.

How can I MOVE some projects from one library to another?

As the aperture library grows quite big and I want to split it into several smaller ones. How can I move projects from the old library to a new one without export them and re-import them all again? Is it possible to retain all adjustments after migration?

You export the project by CTRL / Right- click the project and choose 'Export' > 'Project'. The same if you go via the file menu.
Every adjustment you made, books created, albums etc. will be kept in the exported project and are available again when you import it to another library.

I have produced a document in two separate fils and want to merge them into one. There are six pages in each file, I need to put them I to one file, turn into a PDF and then mail them.
