My Sattellite pro A10 is supposed to come wireless enabled.
Up till now I haven't used it, but am trying to connect to wireless internet.
Windows help and user manuals point me to network conections and to click on wireless connections and search for available connections, but there is and has never been a wireless connection icon in my network connections (running windows XP service pack 2 btw)
Can anyone suggest why and how I can create a wireless conection. The enabling switch on the front is on.

This unit is not known to me but I have found information that WLAN is optional. Please check if there is WLAN card. You can check it in device manager under Network adapters.
If there is no WLAN card you must buy one.

I have tried to setup up Airport to get through the firewall without any success. You don't need the AirPort Express to do this.
You can set your Mac to share it's wired connection over the wireless port and the iTouch can connect directly to the Mac.
You could also do it with the AirPort Express, but you don't need to - it's overkill for what you've described.

May I know what is needed to make sure the MacBook is able to see Time Capsule on ethernet?
Connect an Ethernet cable from one of the LAN <-> ports on the 2Wire gateway to the WAN port (circle of dots icon) on the Time Capsule.
If AirPort Utility cannot "see" the Time Capsule now, you will need to perform a "hard reset" by holding in the reset button for 7-8 seconds or so and then reconfigure the Time Capsule. You can use the same Time Capsule name and password, etc. as before.
Configure the Time Capsule to "Create a wireless network" and select the Bridge Mode option when it appears during the setup using AirPort Utility.
Once the Time Capsule is configured, restart the entire network again. Power down everything, start the 2Wire first and then start each other device after that one at a time about a minute apart.
Now you can connect your Mac directly to one of the LAN <-> ports on the Time Capsule for the backup using another Ethernet cable. In general, about 20-25 GB per hour will transfer.
The Time Capsule will broadcast a much faster wireless network than the 2Wire can provide, so you might want to leave the setup "as is" for awhile after the first backup is complete. If you decide to use the Time Capsule as your main wireless access point, you would want to turn the wireless off on the 2Wire since two wireless networks in close proximity can create interference problems.
Or, if you want to use the wireless on the 2Wire, you could turn off the wireless on the Time Capsule. Then backups will occur over the 2Wire wireless, or over Ethernet.
I don't really recommend the "Join a wireless network" setting on the Time Capsule for most users, but you could go back to that setup as well if you want after the first backup is complete.

If you have an Airport Extreme Base Station or Time Capsule, then you can use an Airport Express to extend the network wirelessly for use by a device using Ethernet, e.g., a computer or network printer. The latest Airport Express has two Ethernet ports available.
Alternatively, you can run an Ethernet line from the router to the Airport Express and create a new network that is distant from the router. This would work on an AEBS, Time Capsule, or a non-Apple router.

Can't create a wireless network without a wireless card on my Mac

O.k. I tried searching the forums for an answer but the odd nature of my problem, and the immense database of topics made it very difficult to find a similar post.
The general issue/idea:
Run a wireless network using Airport Extreme - Connect desktop mac via ethernet and Roku player via wi-fi. Can't get the desktop mac to connect via ethernet when I restart the network/Airport Extreme.
My Father in law has my old computer; It's a PowerMac G5 (Dual 1.8GHz CPUs) running OS 10.5.8), connected to internet via cable (TimeWarner) modem. It does NOT have an Airport or Airport Extreme card installed. The computer works fine, and I don't believe that I 'need' an Airport Card in order to use the Airport Extreme (it's a brand new/refurbished model) in the manner described below.
I would like to use the Airport Extreme to generate/run a wireless network (Do I need an Airport Card in order to generate/run a wireless network? Doesn't the AE actually do that?), connect the desktop Mac to the network via Ethernet (I shouldn't need an Airport Card to do that, should I?) and connect a 'Roku Player (802.11g capable) to the network via wi-fi.
As far as I know, this should be possible.
Basic steps/as I understand them:
A. Connect ethernet from cable modem to AE.
B. Connect ethernet from AE to desktop Mac.
C. Create the wireless network using desktop Mac and Airport Utility.
D. Restart AE to start the wireless network running.
E. Connect Roku to wireless network over wi-fi.
I have no problems with A & B. Once the AE is connected to the desktop Mac, I'm able to get internet via ethernet as it passes through the AE. I can then create a wireless network (step C.) using the Airport Utility (and setup assistant). The problem starts after I've configured the wireless network.
Once I've configured the wireless network, the Airport Utility software prompts me to restart the AE in order to start the wireless network.
As soon as I restart the AE, my desktop Mac tries to connect to the 'wireless' network, even though it's already connected via ethernet. I don't have a wireless card in the Mac, and I don't want to connect the desktop using wi-fi/wireless. It's connected via ethernet, works fine during configuration, and I don't ever anticipate a desire to connect the desktop via wi-fi.
No matter what I do, I can't get the desktop to connect via ethernet. The only network connection option I'm offered is 'Rescan'. O.k. the desktop can't find the wireless network (because it doesn't have a wireless card), and I'm unable to continue with the Airport Utility. I can't make any further changes to the network (the options to manually change the network configuration are not available as the desktop Mac cannot currently talk to the AE - It's still trying to connect wirelessly), and the desktop has no internet connection as it's trying to connect wirelessly.

That is correct, the AEBS is a wireless router that can provide a wireless network. The AirPort Card, on the other hand is a wireless adapter used to allow a Mac to connect to a wireless network, created by any wireless router ... not just those provided by Apple.

As soon as I restart the AE, my desktop Mac tries to connect to the 'wireless' network, even though it's already connected via ethernet. I don't have a wireless card in the Mac, and I don't want to connect the desktop using wi-fi/wireless.
Do you actually have an AirPort Card installed in the G5 now? If so, then it might be possible that the "firing order" for network connectivity has AirPort at the top of the list under System Preferences > Network. Just change the order to have Ethernet at the top and disable AirPort to ensure that the G5 connects by Ethernet only.

I can make it work with two separate ssid's and networks but when I try to set it up "correctly", the airport utility can't find the linksys network.
Set up the AirPort Extreme to "Create a wireless network" using the same wireless network name (just type in the name using AirPort Utiliyt), same wireless security setting and same wireless network password as the Linksys network and make sure that the AirPort is in Bridge Mode.
Then you will have a "roaming" network. Your computer will automatically connect to the wireless access point with the strongest signal as it moves around the house.

i know its not a problem whit my carrier o data plan or sharing preferences on the ipone because when i use it un my laptop it works perfectly through
the usb and even works on the Imac through wifi and bluethood tethering but NOT through usb!!.
the problem is that trying to make it work i deleted the "profile" usb iphone on the network prefereces panel. Now i only have 3 options: ethernet / wifi / bluetooth
but not the usb iPhone i used to have.

There's also an easy to use Applescript over at Doug's Applescripts for iTunes. It automates the whole thing. All you do is set the start and stop time on a file in iTuens and run the script. It will do everything else.

You can do this in Word using bookmarks/hyperlinks but I can't figure this out in Pages. Currently we have an application developed in Forms 5.0.6.8.0 our Database has been upgraded to 9i DB. The application is working fine with this combination but we want to upgrade Forms in order to get Oracle Support. We just get the Developer Suite 9i package and we're trying to test our application with this software.
How can I create the client runtime for Forms 9i?
My application will work with Win 95 and 98?

Oracle9i Forms is web-only. Forms 6i is the last release of Forms to have client/server and character mode.
You can test Forms from the Builder by installing iDS. To deploy Forms using iAS follow the documentation. It's all there in the deployment guide.
