How can I create an iBook from a book created in iPhoto?

I've used iPhoto for a number of years to create some great photo books. It would seem to be a natural progression to convert these files into an iBook format (with or without using iBooks Author). I've got the most recent versions of these apps (iPhoto 9.6 and iBooks Author 2.2) running on my iMac under Yosemite (OS X 10.10.2). However, the two programs still seem to be totally unaware of each other. Is there something I'm missing, or some workaround to make this happen?

iBooks on the iPad or iPhone can read PDFs. As a first step, you can export your iPhoto books to a PDF version and read them on your mobile devices with iBooks. Create your PDF like described here: iPhoto, Aperture: Previewing an order in iPhoto or Aperture

As Old Toad writes. No You can not get 100% quality back.
You can though.
Play DVD with VLC-player
PAUSE
cmd+Shift+4 - click and select photo area - or -
cmd+Shift+3 - click and make a ScreenDump
Quality will be - size of the screen and 72dpi
• So set screen in Max Size e.g. 1440x900 or more
• BUT as DVD is interlaced SD-Video - no setting will be any better than this
And that will be the best You can do - still POOR - but usually better than Nothing !
NTSC (29.97fps) 520 lines - about 640x480 pixels (square) 720x480 rectangular (narrow) pixels
PAL (25 fps) 625 lines - about 768x576 pixels (square) 720x576 rectangular (narrow) pixels
And if You creaded Your movie in iMovie'08 to 11 - only half of the line resolution is left - So I guess that
320 x 480 or
384 x 576
Will be the best possible resulting photos.

How do I open make iBooks regognize two books created in iBA as different books/files? (iBooks opening separate books as the same file)

I am trying to load two different books created in iBooks Author into iBooks. These books were exported instead of uploaded to the iBookstore, therefore I download them and then open with iBooks on an iPad.
Here is my problem:
When I download a book (Book A), it opens in iBooks correctly. If I download a second book (Book B), instead of opening Book B, iBooks re-opens Book A. This also happens vice-versa if I delete Book A and then upload Book B. Essentially, both books cannot be loaded in iBooks at the same time, and iBooks treats the second download/open attempt as the second book being opened, when in actuality it opens the wrong book.
When I looked at the authoring files, I saw they had the same title listed in the Book Pane in iBA. Even when this title is changed, the books fail to open correctly in iBooks.
Has anyone run into a similar problem? Also, I am wondering if legacy meta data is a possible reason for iBooks to open the same book twice instead of loading and opening the new book? (if this is the case, is there a way that this legacy meta data can be deleted)?

Update: Solved.
Either creating a new file or saving the old as a template file & renaming it solved my problem.

You dont use Font Book to change fonts in Mail.
open Mail > open a new message > Show Fonts
click in the text message pane
click on the font, size and colour you want to use

My problem is that some others VIs (that I am not intending using) are changing those global variables (in the natural data flow of the application). I could , of course, send the values of those global variables as parameters, but I don't know how should I pass those data types (and their size)... There are some clusters there...
Any help is well appreciated

Your
problem is of course the use of globals. That is almost always a bad
idea and asking for troubles once your application gets bigger.
Avoiding race conditions and undesired influences between different
parts of your application will take up more and more of your
development time as your project grows.
You should look into Functional Globals (LV2 style globals) and shift
registers for data storage and queues for passing information between
different parts of your applciation. Using these techniques
consequently, will require you to spend some more time initially but
will allow you to grow your application without increasing the
complexity of managing such things exponentially.

I recently updated my IOS on my iPhone and my iPad and, of course, lost all my contacts. I've followed the directions for enabling iCloud; however, my contacts are not being sent to iCloud. I checked my Settings on my phone, Info in iTunes, and Accounts in Contacts. Anyone know how I might resolve this?

While formatting an external drive with a Mac format is best if it will be used only with a Mac, if the files on the drive have to be accessible to a PC also, it's possible to format it in an exFAT format, which both the Mac and a PC can read from and write to. The problem is, once I create a document in Pages and turn it into an ePub to be opened in iBooks, I delete the document in Pages, because I don't need two copies taking up space on my iPad. Before Maverick, iTunes would backup everything in my iBook app on my iPad. If something ever happened to my iPad, all of my created ePubs would be lost and I would be screwed. I suppose I could keep everything on Pages and go to iCloud and download my documents to my Mac, but that is a lot of steps. I'm on Win7 so the paths might be slightly different... C:\Users\(YOUR PC ACCOUNT)\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\bnelgkol.default\bookmarkbackups ... Find the "bookmarks-[DATE].json" you want and copy it to the profile you want. You may want to change the date to a name you will recognize.
Step 2
Then on your browser "Bookmarks>Show All Bookmarks or Ctrl+Shift+B ". This will bring up the Bookmark Organizer, I think they call it Library now. From there click "Import & Back up>Restore" this will bring up a drop down with your back ups. If you followed step 1, find the json you added and select it. If you skipped step 1, from "Import & Back up>Restore" select "Choose File..." Then browser for the json you want to import. Which should be in a similar location as mentioned in step 1.
NOTE: "AppData" is a hidden folder, will have to set show hidden folders to be able to see it.

Move the domain.sites file from one computer to the other.
The file is located under User/Library/Application Support/iWeb/domain.sites. Move this file to the same location on the other computer and double click and iWeb will open it. Remember, it is your User Library that you want and not your System Library, as you will not find iWeb there.
Just create a new site on the same domain file and it will appear below the other site. If you want them side by side then duplicate your domain file and have one site per a domain file and they can then be side by side.
