Hello, i am new here, and i have a project in my hand. I have to create a slideshow presentation on certain subject. I have completed the slideshow using a tool called,PhotoStage Slideshow Producer, with a bunch of 60 images. Now i want to add a small video effect in the beginning of the slideshow to make it look more professional. I want something really simple and i want to add it in between different images for some effect. I may be asking in the wrong forum, again. Can Adobe’s Premiere Pro do it , or is there some other simple program that can make these kind of effect. Thank you.

Might be able to create it with Filter > Render > Clouds with your foreground and background colors set to the lighter and darker versions of your selected color. Then you might need to use Filter > Blur > Gaussian Blur to smooth things out

the easiest way would be to create one movieclip that has
1. a rectangular mask (to mask everything),
2. a dynamic textfield with whatever colored and embedded font.
3. whatever colored background
4. another textfield that has a y property greater than the mask so it's not visible until the mask is rolled over. embed the font
5. another background for the rolled over movieclip
everything will need instance names so you can control with actionscript. you can then assign rollover and rollout code to your movieclip mask.
on rollover, you'll tween the first textfield (and possibly background) to a y less than your mask. tween the textfield with easing. and you'll tween the 2nd textfield and 2nd background to about the same y as your mask. again, tween the textfield with easing but not the background.

I would Like to keep a higher res and also be able to shrink it down to email or send in a MMS. Or should I just upload it to my PC and mess with it there? Some of the apps I have are very easy to use compared to the learning curve needed for video editing software.

Thats the Problem . . . how many apps do I have to try until I find the one I want? I noticed a few will render the video thus losing its original size. When I went to edit it more in iMovie the video was smaller--not good. And what software do you suggest, Templeton, for the PC? I love the apps because they are easy. I dont have hours to mess around on a software to figure out if its something I want. Im looking for simplicity. Maybe Ill get more into it later. I just want to record simple video of my playing the guitar for self analysis and create a short video for family and friends.

Use the bezier tool to create your shapes, give the shapes an Airbrush outline. Then apply a Write On behavior to each shape. Position the shapes in the timeline so they appear sequentially. To achieve the zooming out effect, you can either scale the whole group, or convert the group to 3D and use the camera to zoom out.

Hi there,
You can create a scroll motion where the image will fade out on scrolling, you need to use the Opacity tab under Scroll Effects Panel.
If you particularly need the image to be blur out, then you need to edit that image in any image editing program and make one copy of that image as blurred, then place both images (actual and blurred) on that page and use scroll motion or fade option to replace images.

I would make several copies of the original artwork. On each copy, section the individual areas to be gradients. It looks like you have at least four gradients, both linear and radial. It's just a matter of building each section and then reassembling each. Not too complex, yet nice piece of artwork.

you can just have everything in an entire H box or V box with
a "move left" and "move right" function, that moves the X
coordinates once the button is clicked.. should be as easy as that.
to make it smooth like that you'd need a few extra components but
shouldn't be that hard.

I am having few avi video files which having (avi.avi) extension i couldn't figure out how its occured(they all video files captured from samsung galaxy note,and appeared noraml avi files but became avi.avi i tried removing one extension,eventhough it says having one extension when you look in to the properties of that file you can see avi.avi ,the problem is eventhough it playable in vlc sometime,when i try to import to premiere pro -it says the file is corrupted.

I rendered out an image sequence out of 3DS Max as png files with alpha channels. It is of the earth rotating. I want to export it so when it is brought into power point, all the space around the globe is transparent. How can I do this?

Anyway, you'll have to see what formats PowerPoint accepts that can include alpha (if that's even possible). For sure, On2 VP6 won't work, and QuickTime probably will not; the only likelihood is the uncompressed AVI option, and even then, that's a long shot.

How to create this video effect in my videos?

Hi all, new here, just got Premiere Elements 7 a week back, and must say i'm impressed...
I came across a video effect in a song found here (found from 0:53 till 1:30) where the screen goes completely white for a fraction of a second in a smooth manner and the picture returns again after that.
In fact i also want the effect of the fast forwarding of the video (audio remains the same) for a few seconds, which can also be found in the same clip in the same duration as i stated earlier... But till now i haven't been so successful at applying these...

For the "flash to white" you might take Paul's suggestion and invert it, i.e. placing the white matte on the Video Track (VT) above your footage, and Keyframing its Opacity. Personally, I'd look at doing this with Keyframing of Levels and cutting in a few frames of the white matte. Not sure about PE's Levels Effect (might look into some of the other "brightness" Effects too), but I'd be doing this in PrPro, which has a few more similar Effects.
One tip on the "fast-forward:" this was likely shot that way, with the camera mounted on a sturdy tripod and the a momentary switch used on the camera to do "stop motion" as the actors moved in the scene. If you do the Time Remapping, make sure to shoot on a tripod, so that the background does not change positions, only the actors to keep it looking clean. It also appeared to me that the videographer shot a few frames without the talent in the scene and these were either created in camera, or were inserted. I might have imagined this, but its use could be effective also. To keep the Audio at the exact pitch and speed, when Time Remapping, you'll want to use a soundtrack, and not rely on the Audio from the camera. You can do some work with the camera Audio to try and maintain pitch, but it can be a lot of work. Even for ambient sounds, i.e. the background sounds of the field, or forrest, I'd keep it, plus the soundtrack, separate from the Video stream.
An older Sci-Fi parody, "Ice Bandits" used a bit of stop motion freeze-framing and also under-cranking of the camera, for both Audio & Video, to create a humorous take on this Effect. If you can get a copy of that (might be on DVD?), look at the battle-scenes near the end. Heavy makeup changes were also incorporated to simulate "aging" when the action was sped up. The Time Remapped Audio contributed to the humor aspect, as the voices took on a "chipmunk-like" sound, and even the SFX were sped up too.
I don't see much real stop motion anymore in video, as much can be done in post. Back in the cine days, it was used for all sorts of effects. Jack Boseburg did a three-film trilogy, called "Trolley," that incorporated a lot of real stop-motion camera work. In his film, he controlled the camera with an intervelometer. I doubt that you could find a copy of this, however, as it was never commercially released.

I am pretty new to After Effects and I'm getting to grips with all the particle effects and have managed to create some cool looking animations, but I'm trying to create the particle effect as seen in the image link below. Create the custom particle in Photoshop or a separate comp. Drag the custom particle into your main comp, turn its visibility off, set Particular's particle setting to "Custom Particle", and choose the new layer as the source.
Create a camera for the comp and turn on "Depth of field". Experiment with the settings until you get the desired effect.
Personally, I'd use two Particular layers for that look, one for the larger particles and another for the smaller ones.

Widgets. You'll need to probably create a subclass of JPanel, which will have a JLabel for the icons, and a JButton.
You'll probably need to call setPreferredSize(..) on the button to obtain the text trailing effect when the text overflows the boundaries.
Also, you could add a mouseListener to the panel to create the selection effect when it is clicked, or when any of its sub components are clicked. (recursion methods help to achieve this).
Scaling in size, now that is tricky. To do this, you'll probably have to calculate the width of the panel manually, by summing up the heights of the components and maintaining a fixed width. No an easy task though.
This is a nice component, so get writing. Here is a little help with the recursion
