How can i deauthorise my old laptop so I only have my new macbook as my pc. My old laptop is broken and I can't use it at all by the way!

I have brought a new macbook air and have got it operating ok. But I'd like to de-authorise my old lap top which is
broken and can't be operated at all. How can I do this please?

Individual computers can only be deauthorised directly on them, but if you've authorised your account on your new Macbook then you should be able to log into your account on your Mac's iTunes via the Store > View Account menu option and 'deauthorise all' (which you can do once every 12 months) and you can then reauthorise the Mac (and any other computers that you still have and need).

Hold down Option Command Escape at the same time... from the drop down Menu choose Force Quit Safari.

I have an HP officejet printer hooked up the the router to work wirelessley, The router is reading it as connected. My computer reads it as offline. If I reset my computer it will print whatever the first thing is in the que but nothing else and does not work after that. Is there some sort of setting that I am missing? Your fan(s) will run at high speed (i.e., loudly) while video is playing, and you can't get around that.
If your fans are not slowing down within 2-4 minutes after CPU- and/or GPU-intensive usage ends, and the application that was showing the video is still running, Quit that application. (In fact, if you're accustomed to Windows, you may not realize that simply closing a Mac application's window does not quit the application. You still need to use the Quit command in the application-name menu. There will always be a bright dot beside or below the application icon in your Dock for each application that is open.) Quit the ones you aren't using, and see whether that allows the fans to slow down without restarting the machine. If that doesn't do the trick, reset the SMC:

Hi I have a MBP and i use it a lot, I was looking at a few different battery applications and they all say that my battery health is about 80% and that i should recondition it by draining the battery all of the way and then charge it again. But one thing I have noticed was when i try to drain my battery it goes in to like a sleep mode. I was wondering if their is a way to disable that so i could use my battery all of the way so i can re-calibrate it. Thanks

FCP, and all software on OSX, has a few different "preference" files (the extension is .plist), which store all your user settings. Each time you resize a window, change a setting, anything, this file is re-written. Kinda easy to see how they would become corrupt every now and then.
-Close FCP
-Navigate to User>Library>Preferences and delete com.apple.FinalCutPro.plist
-Navigate to User>Library>Preferences>Final Cut Pro User Data and delete Final Cut Pro 5.0 Prefs
-Empty your trash
Relaunch FCP and see if that worked.
Download FCP Rescue to make this process easier in the future. When you have FCP running really smooth, open FCP Rescue and create a backup of your preference files. If it starts acting wanky, just run FCP Rescue and Restore your backup preferences. Works really slick, and it's free.

Those choices are controlled via System Preferences, Trackpad.

Contacts are designed to be synced to a supported application on the computer or a cloud service.
Pictures taken with the device are designed to regularly be copied off the device to a computer as would be done with any digital camera.
If you have failed to use the device as designed it may be too late to recovery anything.
Is the device regularly backed up to a computer via iTunes? If so, the most recent backup (when restored to a replacement iOS device) should contain all contacts and pictures as of when the backup was created.

Assuming you haven't already set up a user, the easiest way is to use the Setup Assistant during first boot of the new Mac, with the two Macs connected by firewire.
You'll be prompted to migrate from a choice of sources - choose "from another Mac", select the catagories of data you want to transfer and follow the instructions.

You cannot merge accounts.
You need to sign into the old account on your computer.
