How can i define folder to save files in DMS

Dear all,
How can i define folders to save uploaded files.
Regards,
Gaurav Sood

Hi Gaurav,
generally there are no 'folders' in DMS. In DMS we use document info records (DIR) which are mainly a kind of box which contains data like
- descriptions
- object links
- classification data
- original files
So if you create such a DIR in transaction CV01N then you can also upload or assign a file to this document info record and check it in. So you can say that the folder is the document info record.
Another possibility for DMS is to use EasyDMS which is a kind of small Add-On to the Windows explorer. In this Add-On
folders are displayed to simplify the navigation for the user equal to the Windows Explorer. The folders you see in EasyDMS is a document BOM header in the SAP backend system. But mainly this is also a DIR which has additional DIRs assigned to build up a document BOM. If you have such a BOM header DIR than you can display the detailed BOM items by using transaction CV13 for example.
So in a nutshell, if you want to upload files in DMS you need to create a document info record in transaction CV01N first. Therefore the customizing in transaction DC10 and DC30 is important.
Best regards,
Christoph

  • How can I prevent the open/save file confirmation window popup ? Mine is currently set for "always do this action" but I still get the popup.

Whenever I "export" a QIF file from my bank I get a File Action confirmation window popup. I have the correct application selected and I have it selected to "open" and "always do this action" but the popup always pops.
I have checked the applications tab and the correct application is selected.
How can I prevent the confirmation popup window please ?

    Cheers for the reply.
I have deleted the rdf file but no difference. I still get the opening file box popup.
From the resetting download actions link. Both lines in the about:config are missing.
I have also tried switching the download option for the qif file to use a csr file but that also opens the confirmation box.
I pulled this from the rdf file
    <RDF:Description RDF:about="urn:mimetype:handler:text/x-qif"

  • How can I set a default save file for scans using the Solution Center?

    Using Windows 7 - 64 bit.   HP Photosmart Premuim C-309a All-In-One Printer.
Because of a Windows crash, I had to install a new drive and reload Windows. I also reloaded other software like the HP Solution Center & Drivers. My problem is that I can't find how to set a default folder for my scans.  This is NOT mentioned in the user manual but it was originally accomplished by HP Tech Support when the printer was new.  Can anyone relate how to set default folders for my scans?
    Thanks.

Here is a document on how to scan through Windows 7.
    http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?cc=us&lc=en&docname=c03476857
Click either solution center or the icon of the printer on your desktop. Here select "Scanner Actions" (or the analogous selection). When the window pops up from the HP software it should provide you with options for file type (.tiff, .pdf, .jpg) as well as resolution and media size. Here on this page there is also an option for you to go to the advanced options. Using this you can alter the default safe folder.
Let me know if that helps you out!

  • How can I see if there are files present in this sourcing staging ftp folder:

    Hi All,
How can i see if there are files present in the below parth in SAP Sourcing staging dtp folde.
    Upload Directory:usr/fciintegration/abce/materials/upload
    Please help me .
    Thanks
    Peeysuh Ranjan

It should not be difficult if you have access to the staging server. Just like any other machine, navigate down the folder structure and see if it has files.
I don't think it is possible to tell from the Sourcing application directly.
    Thanks

Either use 'SYLKPIX Developer Studio SE' to develope the RAW files and to save them in another lossless format like TIFF, or try if Adobe's free DNG Coverter can convert your Lumix RAW files to dng. Then import the dngs. This way, your files will still be RAW files.  This works (most times) for my Lumix FZ28.

  • I can't find where iweb saves files. i have no iweb folder in my library applications. any ideas?

i can't find where iweb saves files. i have no iweb folder in my library applications. any ideas?

Yes you do - it is found under your User Library/Application Support/iWeb/domain.sites.
It is the domain.sites folder that you want and the iWeb folder is NOT in your System Library, but rather your User Library - that's the one with the house.
Depending on what OS you are using - from Lion upwards, your User Library is invisible, so to make it visible, go to the Go menu and hold down the 'alt' key at the same time and your Library will show - then go to Application Support and the iWeb folder is there with your domain.sites file in it.  Double click on this file to open it and iWeb will.

How can I run a SQL script file from a location on my computer without providing the whole path?
Is there some way I can set a "Working folder" in SQL Plus??
    Thanks!
    Tom

You can create an environment variable called "SQLPATH" which is a list of directories that SQL*Plus will search for your .SQL
    scripts.
I would like to use another directory than the oracle/bin...
How can I do this ??
    Hello,
U can do this by this way:
Save odm_script.sql file to the default Oracle
directory i.e. Oracle-Home/bin and Run following command
    through SQL Plus.
    SQL>@Script_Name
I hope this will resolve ur problem.

  • I can't open Firefox and I haven't saved my extensive bookmarks, which contains all my important websites. How can I start Firefox and save my bookmarks?

I have a Dell Inspiron E1505, and I use Kaspersky Internet Security. The past week, I've had problems opening Firefox - it has been slow. Today, it just won't open at all. At first I thought it was my Internet connection, so I called my provider, Comcast Cable. But I was also able to open Internet Explorer. I was told that I may have to remove Firefox, and redownload it, but it would erase all my bookmarks. How can I access Firefox and save my bookmarks?

Try starting Firefox in Safe Mode (Firefox Safe Mode, not Windows Safe Mode).
First, I recommend backing up your Firefox settings in case something goes wrong. See [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Backing+up+your+information Backing up your information]. (You can copy your entire Firefox profile folder somewhere outside of the Mozilla folder.)
    Next, check out this article:
[http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Safe+Mode Safe Mode]. Be careful not to "reset" anything permanently if you didn't back up.
To export bookmarks to an HTML file that IE and other browsers can read, see [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Exporting%20bookmarks%20to%20an%20HTML%20file Exporting bookmarks to an HTML file | How to | Firefox Help].

  • How can I locate my iTunes library files. When I click on my itunes icon the message appears, "The file iTunes Library.itl." cannot be found because it was created by a newer version of iTunes."

How can I locate my iTunes library files?  When I click on my iTunes icon rather than my iTunes files I receive, " The file iTunes Library.itl." cannot be read because it was created by a newer version of iTunes."  I have already tried to update my iTunes program.

Had same problem and solved it without having to reinstore any music or movies:
    1. Delete old Library file
    2. Go to the 'Previous iTunes Libraries' folder and copy one of the earlier files - note, they have a date extension, e.g. 'iTunes Library 2011-11-01'.
    3. Paste this file in your iTuners folder and rename file by removing the date extension -  'iTunes Library'
You should have all your music and paylists in tact, unless it was a really old previous file.

  • How can I  move the 'Itune music file' to another disk

    Hello
I am using ITUNE in a Winfow XP environnement. I am running out of space on my C disk. How can I move my ITUNE music file
    C:\Documents and Settings\Yves\My Documents\My Music\iTunes\iTunes Music
to another bigger partition on the same computer?
Sorry if that question as been answered before I may have missed it.
    Thanks Yves.

Sorry, there is no way to move that file out of the Profile folder, or specify a different location for it, built into Firefox.
One extension that might be able to help you do that is Pike's Bookmark Backup extension. BB allows you to specify which files are backed-up and where those backup files are saved. It also has a backup interval setting, IIRC. <br />

I’m pretty sure Adobe NEVER intended for someone to copy an XMP file from one photo to another outside of LR as a way to replicate settings.   You can make a preset from a photo, as discussed, or if you don’t want to do that, copy-paste the settings from a representative photo that you initially select to one or more new photos.  You could have a special LR folder that holds standard photos to copy/paste from.  Of course creating a Develop preset from the representative photo is the “normal” way to handle such situations, but maybe you have hundreds of different situations to copy settings from and don’t want to create presets for each one, but I’d argue that you could create a complex folder hierarchy for your presets and still have them findable without that much problem.
As far as the mystery about why some photos show Reset and some show From Metadata, is the Process Version (down in Camera Calibration) of the photo before reading the settings the same between the two situations?  And in general, are these virgin photos newly imported into LR or have some been modified in LR, already?  Does an XMP file already exist for any of these, where that XMP is being overwritten by your external-to-LR copying?  Or do you have auto-write-XMP enabled and your hand-copied XMP is getting overwritten by LR, automatically, before you have a chance to read in anything?

  • How can I convert the ringtone (m4r file) I made into an mp3 file on itunes?

How can I convert the ringtone (m4r file) that I made into an mp3 file on iTunes? I want to put it on a CD, but I can't figure out how to convert it. I didn't buy it, I made it by converting a YouTube video into an mp3 (I wanted to get the little song in the video for a ringtone.) I'm not sure what to do.

    Hello ed2345,
Thanks for the help, but this is not the problem.
It's hard to describe the problem, but I'll try it again, this time with pictures.
I was left with the following folders in the iTunes Downloads folder.
    http://www.picfront.org/d/7yb3
These TMP Folders have a download.m4a and a Info.plist file.
After moving the audio files in iTunes a bit I get this.
    http://www.picfront.org/d/7yb2
As you can see no other Information for the download.m4a than the length.
That's how the .m4p file looks like
    http://www.picfront.org/d/7yb1
And this is how the same .m4a file currently looks
    http://www.picfront.org/d/7yb0
Like I said, I could edit all these download.m4a files by myself but that would leave some information out.
Note: Sorry, I hope the links do not spam you with annoying ads. I don't get any but I was told that there can be some annoying one.
