Hello--I am working on a MacBook Pro (mid-2010), OS 10.8.5. I discovered looking through Finder that a Crash Plan app (I had tried a free couple of weeks and then asked to cancel) is still occupying 190.4 MB. During a routine virus scan, I saw in the Sophos log (which said "no threats") that Crash Plan seemed to have attempted to activate numerous times; but when I tried to delete it by first unchecking the "locked" box on the Info pane, the check immediately returned every time. Can anyone tell me how I can successfully and permanently trash this? Thank you!

You can't do this, and you can't transfer purchases between accounts. There is no conflict about using one ID for iTunes, iTunes in the Cloud and iTunes Match (the ID you've been using for iTunes) and using the other ID for iCloud.

If there are multiple apps trying to download at once, only one can download at a time and the rest say "Waiting" until it is then their turn. Try this. Double tap the icon of the Waiting app, and it should resume the download.

Another thing to try - Turn the iPad Off & then back ON.
If that doesn't work:
• Log out of your iTunes store account. Go to Settings > Store > Sign Out Then press the Home button.
• Then press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously and don't release them when it brings up the Turn Off screen; keep holding them until the Apple logo appears.

How can I delete the podcasts that I have not downloaded but show up as being in the cloud

How can I delete the podcasts that show up as being in the cloud when viewing them in the List mode? Most of these are past episode that I previously downloaded and then deleted. I know that I can look at my podcasts in Unplayed mode which removes those in the cloud but then I can't sort them first by podcast title and then by episode date the way I can in List mode. This was not a problem before iTunes 11.1 when I could simply delete those in the cloud.

That is discouraging. However I do notice that if I view my podcasts in My Podcasts mode they are grouped and sorted better than in Unplayed mode and the ones in the cloud are not shown. However although I prefer the one window view of List mode to the two windows My Podcast mode, My Podcast mode does at least indicate how many unplayed episodes I have from each podcast. This would almost be acceptable except that partially listened to podcasts, while still there, can only be identified by highlighting the podcast title on the lefthand sidebar, (although the number of completely unplayed episodes are listed on the left hand sidebar). As someone who often listens to a podcast over two or more days I fear I could forget which ones I have only partially listened to and would have to go down the entire left hand sidebar list highlighting each podcast to remind myself. I really find the List mode the most informative and easiest way to view my podcasts and really wish Apple had not messed with it

I can not delete an app that is on my iphone 5. Unfortunely I do not remember the name of it! It shows up as a moveable round botton within a square on all opened screens. I purchased a Macbook Pro, 13-inch, Mid 2012, running OS X 10.9 (13A603) used on Amazon. I neglected to reset the computer upon recieving so now I am stuck with somewhat of a quagmire. I don't want to reset the computer now since I have installed most of the programs I will need for my day to day functions not to mention all my media that I was able to convert from my old PC. There is an issue I am having with the App Store trying to update "Angry Birds" but it will not continue with the update because I am entering the wrong User ID for the download. Is there anyway I can just delete this application from the update area? I noticed that when I went to download Mavericks there were updates available for applications that were already installed on the Macbook so I simply deleted the previous versions on the Macbook and downloaded the recent updates under my Apple ID. I would do this for the Angry Birds application but this would require me to purchase it when I do not want this game on my computer... Does anyone have any advice to solve my situation?

This sounds like spamware you might have installed by accident. If you go into Add-Ons (Firefox -> Add-Ons) it should be under 'Extensions'. Click the 'Remove' button and that should get rid of it.
You might also find it under 'Programs and Features' in Control Panel. Remove it if it's there.

How can I build an application that calls functions in a dll if the associated hardware is not present?

I am trying to build an application that use the "Call Library Function" node to call functions in a dll.
The dll was provided by a third-party and includes functions to drive an I2C communication board.
The problem I have is that the dll does not not properly because the hardware is not present.
Therefore when I load the VI a broken arrow is displayed and when I am not able to build the application.
I will not be running the application on the PC where I build the application, therefore I want to be able to build the application on a remote PC that has not all the hardware installed. Once the application will be build it will be installed on the target PC that has all the hardware.
How can I make the application builder to build the application event if the dll is not properly loaded? (the dll will be properly loaded on the target PC)
I want to do this on LabView 5.1.1, any ideas?

Some .dlls don't try to attach to the driver when loaded.
I've worked with both and unfortuately, I've not figured out a way around this problem.
You could possibly use the Conditional Disable structure around the dll calls so they would not be loaded unless you're in the runtime engine. But i've not tried this so I don't know for sure if it's possible.
