How do I delete credit card information from my profile? When I simply delete it, the system forces something to be in those fields. When I type random info in, it forces accurate info. I DON'T want to store credit card info.

To remove it from your account, tap on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store and then tap on 'View Apple ID' on the popup and log into your account - that should give you a payments link on your account's page from where you can change remove/change your payment details.

Right, so here's what happened. Got into this game that I recently downloaded through the app store, came to a road block were I could either wait days to get the in-game money I needed needed to move on or pay $1.99 and get it over with. I had a gift card with $3 still on it and thought "why the **** not?" Problem now is that I can't update any of my apps without this notification coming up and saying that I need to update my card. I've tried going through my account settings on my phone but I don't get that "none" opinion that everyone is talking about. How can I delete that card from my account? Do I need to call someone or just use up that $1 I have on it?

I would try iTunes as well to see if you get the none option available there. I think what may be contributing to it is, even if the app is .99 cents with tax, that will put it over the 1 dollar left in your credit, there by needing a credit card to cover the tax.

I'm trying to delete credit card information on the account and only have my son use itunes gift card, but I do not see a "None" button as payment options either on his phone or when I log onto account on the computer.

How can I delete credit card info in iPhone?

Big mistake:
I added a credit card to my settings in iPhone (after chosing "no credit card" for more than 6 months) but now I can't remove this credit card info anymore. The problem is I can't find the sentence that was "No Credit Card" to choose it again. It's just gone after adding the card info.
Ofcourse I don't want to sign out because I still need my account to update the Apps I have, and iTunes does want to because they cannot verify my credit card although they already made a withdraw of $1 to verify it.
And yes I did make a reboot and I reset and I updated but NOTHING new happened.
Please any help...

If the option is unavaliable, maybe try editing the current card details, and saving it with all the fields left blank.

Go to settings on your device then select app store. If you tap on the email that is shown it will give you an option to view your apple ID. When you are viewing your apple ID, tap on payment method and it will show a list of credit card options. The one at the bottom should say none. If you then tap none for payment options the credit card will not be connected. If you go on to the app store again you should be able to download free apps with out any issues.

I used a $25 Visa Gift Card to buy things and ended up spending it all. I made a $19.99 in-game purchase and was charged $21 which is fine with me. Then i made a $4.99 in-game purchase and was charged $5.40. The card was declined but i still somehow got the product? Now i am unable to update apps because the billing information is wrong and it says i owe money. Why do owe money if it was declined? And why did i receive the product if it was declined? I just want to remove the billing information and if i really have to owe money for something apple messed up on I guess i will buy a app store gift card and pay it off. If you do not live in the U.S. you may not have the option to remove a credit card from your iTunes account. But if you do have a credit card listed in the account and it has been verified, you aren't charged for free apps anyway, so I'm not sure why removing the card matters. But you can try this.
Settings>iTunes & App Stores>Apple ID. Tap you ID. Tap View Apple ID in the next window. Enter your Password. Then go to Payment Information and see if you can remove the card in there.
If you already created the ID and you are trying to use the ID without a credit card, you are stuck now. You have to enter a credit card and then you might be able to remove it.
If you wanted to create an ID without a credit card, you did it incorrectly. Read this.
