You can't delete some of the native apps but you can put them away in a folder OR some of them you can make invisible by restricting them (iTunes for example).

The fact that those internal contacts lists aren't editable is an irritation to many. I've submitted feedback to Apple several times on this, asking that in a future OS release they should either
Provide a way to directly access that list of 'Recent Addressees' and Delete unwanted ones, or
If not that, then at least mode it so that addressses selected from that list bubble up to the top, therefore over time moving the unused ones down out of sight.

They have a ton of books but I can only listen to them from my windows media player and I wouldlove to download to my I pod but I have tried everything I can think of it they won't go over. Someone said all I had to do was copy them over and they would convert but I can't even get them to copy. Thanks.

Well it started happening AGAIN with my 2nd IPod. No matter what I did, it Itunes would NOT restore it!
I finally installed Itunes on my hubby's PC at work and managed to get it restored there.
Apparently, there must be some sort of compatibility issue with the windows version of Itunes and some other piece of software on my pc.
And one more important thing! I had to follow the instructions in the other thread that talks about how to correctly uninstall itunes and quicktime, in order to completely eliminate ALL traces of my "first" ipod's existence so it wouldn't demand that I restore it.
I think the software got "confused" and thought when I connected my 2nd ipod, that it was the 1st and that it still needed to be restored.
Basically, this is just POORLY written and POORLY tested software!

I can not delete an app that is on my iphone 5. Unfortunely I do not remember the name of it! It shows up as a moveable round botton within a square on all opened screens. When tapped it opens up four options: Favorites, Siri, Device and Home. It was a cool time saver with the iOS5, but with the addition of comand center in iOS7 It is rather in the way. Does anyone know the name of this app and or how to uninstall it?? Thanks for any help

My tapped out app doesn't appear on my home screen and I can't find how to delete it. The app will not work. Every time I try to access it I get the message that it 'cannot connect to server'.

Your iPod is connected to the internet, and have you tried closing the game via the taskbar and seeing if it works when you re-open it ? From the home screen (i.e. not with Tapped Out app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Tapped Out app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't fix it then try a soft-reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the equivalent of a reboot.
If you can't find it on any of your iPod's homescreens then can you connect the iPod to your computer's iTunes ? If you can then do File > Devices > Transfer Purchases to make sure that all apps (and other downloads) are on your computer, and then on the iPod's Apps tab on your computer's iTunes you should be able to use the listbox of apps to find where a downloaded app is on your iPod (double-click an app in the listbox and it should show on the screen mock-ups where it is), and use the 'remove' button next to an app to delete it (which will also remove its content and settings) and click 'Apply' at the bottom right of the screen - the 'remove' button will then change to 'install' so that you can re-install it (and again click 'Apply') :

You can't delete it up unless you can find it.
Are all of your screens full? If they are, the only way to see additional apps would be to find them in the Spotlight Search. Swipe down from the middle of the home screen to reveal the search bar at the top. Type in the name of the app. It will show you what it folder it is in next to the app name.
If you really believe that your account was hacked, I hope that you plan on contacting Apple/iTunes Support, remove your credit card and do whatever is necessary to protect your personal information.

You should always sync them to your computer: File>Transfer Purchases and you should alwys maintain a backup copy of your computer.

Ok so I had an event planned on Facebook, and I was wondering if there was a way to add it to my IPad/Iphone calendar without having to enter all the info again. I found on Facebook you can export an event. It gives you the option to export to a calender (example, google calendar or Outlook) or to export to an email address. Since I do not use any online calendars or Outlook I selected email. I emailed the event to myself and then I opened the email using my Ipad 2. It gave me the option to add to my calendar and I did. I thought this was really cool, until I updated my event on Facebook (I added more people and I made some comments on the event). I then tried to see if I could just update the calendar and not only can I not update it, I can't delete it either. On my calendar where it normally says "edit", it says "details". I'd really like to get this off my IPad 2/Iphone 4s calendar now and I can't figure it out.

Have you tried tapping on the icon to see if you can pause the download, then tap it again to resume the download?
Did you try rebooting the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons until the Apple logo appears on the screen? Takes about 10 seconds or so.

How to redownload purchased apps from the App Store
You cannot redownload videos or music.
It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer.
Use your backup copy to put everything back.
